Built the Silent Mary ... Surprising easy build at about 3.5 hours total. The floating effect looks awesome at eye level and should make for a cool display set. The collapsible mast is a little flimsily and I am curious if it will get worse with time - I also have the chest printing error on the Jack Sparrow figure as others have noted. Overall really cool set and looking forward to the movie now!14 points

these people who searched for there real deal item front and center might disagree with you. For 3 months they were sending out Fitbit Ones that were mispackaged in error and were burgundy instead of black. People would complain and they resent the wrong one again cause they just grab and go. Another issue when you just have one listing you go off of. Just a sample across a few product brands of people that typed in there item hoping to find the real thing front and center. Obviously you only have one listing to type in on Amazon as that is how the format is set up (even that can be debatable on certain products). Ebay was never set up to be a one listing format. It was a place to sell some collectibles or items you no longer wanted for some money. It was never set up to be a place to sell new goods in volume. Like everything it evolved over the years and grew as well. When Amazon, and others came into the market it forced the BIN options and change to storefronts more than it had before. Which brought in manufacturers, box stores and everything else. We all know everything has changed the last 20 years and this is where we are at now. Been good changes and bad changes but both formats have there issues and always have. To sit there and say they have no fakes it pretty ridiculous. It has always been two different markets. There is much more you can do with ebay in terms of parting anything of value out or salvaging something for value that you could not do on Amazon. I've seen people make a living parting Dysons out down to every single piece and getting triple retail for them doing that. Amazon is great for moving new product in volume among other things. At least with ebay you can see the item is a fake for sure if you know what you are looking for versus just blindly buying under a listing that is supposed to be what you want although it might not be what you receive. Either way the buyer is protected on both formats as we have all seen. Both formats have there share of different versions of scams, different versions of random suspensions or gates / limits so everyone just needs to do which format suits them best. One thing I can guarantee is if anyone has been in this long term we all started on ebay at one point and probably all made decent money there which got us all interested in finding other avenues to do online sales. That is where Amazon is great as people with daily jobs can also have a full time business with FBA and try to juggle both sometimes making more in their FBA ventures than there jobs. That is a great option to have these days.3 points

This set has very limited customers base. For children it is expensive + horrible playable options (very fragile construction), AFOLs - 80% of pirates fans (including me) dont like this set. Also it has a limited potential as investment - I cannot imagine how will somebody pay 300 eur and more for such wreck in the future. If they wanted to have a scary ship, they could do something like this flying dutchman:3 points

Walgreens has Star Wars Rogue One constraction figured on clearance for random prices at each store. One store had 9 marked at $12.99 and I was able to talk him down to $7.00 each. Not the biggest fan of these figures but at $7 it's a no brainer2 points

REAL collectors will do the leg work to make sure they're not buying a fake item on eBay (not saying they can't be scammed). CHEAP collectors will buy the fake even when the listing says it's compatible with LEGO because they don't give a damn. To say one customer base (eBay vs Amazon) is more edumacated is totally ludicrous. Millions of people shop online now. They are all getting the benefits of googles years of search engine work to find marketplaces and cheap prices. "Uneducated buyer" is a total misnomer these days. Lazy is the word I prefer. Lazy people get scammed on all selling platforms. *edit - just to add that good buyers do get scammed but it's usually by a fraudulent listing rather than being too lazy to read the damn listing and has nothing to do with eBay vs Amazon *2 points

Because he basically told people how great the collection was a dozen times, how great he was at amassing said collection, how great he was for selling it at such a bargain and how great he'd be for renting a uhaul and delivering it (wtf?)... Then he proceeded to tell everyone if you want to pay a premium for it, buy it now... otherwise I'll eventually get desperate to sell it and either drop the price or split it into smaller parts saving you a whole lot of work estimating the value for yourself or finding the parts you want. Oh and he knows all about selling LEGo so he's doing you a favor by setting the price based only on part of the collection (yeah right). Shut up and post the facts. Opinions are not needed in a CL ad.2 points

Sorry from Suckville: it was me, I received military orders to move so I needed to push inventory to Amazon and boost cash flow. Only had 4, which I bought for $13 each, and now they are gone...carry on.2 points

I've never posted before but been on brickpicker for several years. I'm an ebay buyer not a seller. Had to comment because I purchased two of the sdcc boxes -- the batmobile and rocket raccoon. My sister who lives at the same address won one on ebay as well. It's definitely fraud. Tracking showed it was delivered but we didn't receive them. Just got back from post office and they were delivered to two different addresses both within our zip code. We've both filed claims with ebay. Ebay told me they would send me some ii-something forms that would be sent to the FBI. Hope they prosecute the guy.2 points

I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.)2 points

I've I.D-ed one of my drop shippers, due to a return. It was an epic transaction: customer bought a Christmas train polybag thinking it was the minifig scale train, and then was irate that they paid so much for 30-some-odd bricks. Thankfully, they returned it in the condition I sent it. They even included in the return package the full email transcript of the return request discussion. It was very enlightening. This particular drop-shipper sells on the Walmart.com marketplace. I do feel a bit sorry for their customers. They are paying through the nose, and a simple search on Google would save them lots of money.1 point

The Clayface figure is one case that I know where it was in the 5.00 increment range over 30. But, I agree that seems to be rare. 34.99 for that set seems a bit more fair. But, it does feel overvalued at 40.00. I am also surprised that this isn't the case. Although, i'm sure Daenerys Targaryen will actually be the "real hero" of the film, and Han Solo her sidekick, with Chewy reduced to basically the Pluto of the trio.1 point

Bundled Assortment A & B? Well I do know throughout the original Bionicle theme back in the day, LEGO liked to release combo packs that came in pairs each containing three characters for a total of six altogether. (I had one for the Rahkshi from Japan a long time ago but those guys are something else.) While I do not know how to find information specifically relating to what is in these boxed assortments, each bundle should contain a number of three Bohrok types (assuming I am interpreting "Bundled Assortment" properly). The individual set numbers are 8560, 8561, 8562, 8563, 8564, and 8565. The Bohrok had come out sometime in 2002 making the 2001 the copyright date I guess. Unless someone knows differently, I believe you are fine to open those outer cases as what is inside should be the plastic canisters sealed ready for a store shelf to sell. For all I know each assortment could even be the special triple packs of 65109 and 65110 respectively which were the original canisters plus an extra helping of plastic wrap. I just realized to ask, is there somewhere on the case stating something of content count as in how many items are in there? These look like the sort meant for the backroom over out on the floor though.1 point
