Quick update two: I had some time to start sorting today. I poured the large bin out on a bed sheet and started sifting through it. After an hour I had pulled out about two gallons of minifigs and have some promising starts to a few sets. I had a blast and can't wait to dig around more next week. I hope you don't mind the updates. I don't know any other AFOL and figured you would get how exciting this treasure hunt can be.13 points

In anticipation of the new POTC movie along with my disappointment that we didn't get news of a new "intact" ship I picked these two beauties up off of Ebay. Enjoyed the build and even more so the outcome. What I don't understand after seeing both complete in person is why there seems to be much more draw for BP than QAR because IMO QAR is a much better looking ship. To top it off I paid roughly $70 more for BP over QAR. That being said the BP alone is a beautiful ship.11 points

Completed Trevi Fountain this evening. The horses were fiddly to keep in place. On the actual fountain, one horse is wild and the other is docile but they both felt kind of wild here! Really nice build with plenty of detail. Took a little longer than the other sets and I can see this as a desirable set in the future. I need something 'French' next to compliment my growing Architecture collection.5 points

Came across this on CNN today: http://money.cnn.com/2017/03/06/investing/retail-stress-great-recession-amazon/index.html?iid=EL Bold highlight is mine - You'd think perhaps if they had sold their Dimensions score for a few times higher, they could have paid off some debt?3 points

25% off up to $30 with code SPRING25. Could be just for first purchase with Google Express but it worked for me and I have ordered through them before but it's been a while so that could be why I qualified.3 points

Inspired by last night's "Rebels" episode. I'm probably going to build a couple Y-Wings to go with it. Imperial Assault Carrier also made a noteworthy appearance last night too. Hmmm...3 points

So, you inspired me to go after a UCS B-Wing as well. I missed the whole half off sale, and I've wanted one for years. The B-Wing is my favorite OT ship. My car license plate (a long time ago) was personalized with 'B WING'. I ended up scoring mine for $170 shipping on eBay, used. It arrived yesterday, and looks like it's all good. It's one of my white whale sets, so I'm very happy.2 points

Ok. Which one of you is it? Who's undercutting me on BL? Completely unnecessary. 30 secs of market research will show that 40252 sells like McRibs at $32.99 There's no justification for selling under $30, except laziness. I'm watching you ;(2 points

They did make a few moves that alienated some buyers last year2 points

I just wish they would adopt the Kmart/Sears business practice of making better offers to customers when they are facing difficult times financially.2 points

I parted a few of those out and made my money back and then some on the figs. I don't think I sold any of the vehicles, though I built one of the bat copters for my kids to swoosh around. My 2 year old loves spinning the blades. Lego really should put helicopters in more sets...2 points

I sold the bat-copter from the Batman harvester set! I had feared I'd never sell that thing. It kept me from parting out more. I don't think I'll part that out anymore, but now I can feel I made a profit off that set... 5 months after purchase, with a solid hour of work...2 points

I see Obi Wan as well, the version either from 75159 DeathStar or 75052 Cantina. I'd think it's the cantina, but then you would have noticed a Dewback. If there's no Dewback, you might have the DeathStar in there - that would be sweet (a $500 set). EDIT: More evidence to the presence of 75159 DeathStar: 2 Royal Guards (one visible without head on the top - completely red torso and legs with dark-red arms). This would mean some of the stormtroopers without helmet are actually Luke and Han.2 points

Full report is up. https://wwwsecure.lego.com/en-gb/aboutus/medialibrarydetails/the-lego-group-annual-report-2016-62490f6af4ec421e9b58fa2228a044b7 2016 was another year of record sales for the LEGO Group, but with slower growth than the extraordinary high levels seen in the past. Revenues increased by 6.0% in 2016 to DKK 37.9 billion against DKK 35.8 billion the year before. Revenue growth excluding foreign exchange impacts was 5.5% year over year (on a local currency basis). Sales were driven by strong growth in Europe and Asia, while Americas markets experienced mixed performance. The LEGO Group’s profit before tax amounted to DKK 12.4 billion in 2016 against DKK 12.1 billion the year before, an increase of 2.0%. The lower profit growth than in recent years is a result of a planned high level of investments in physical capacity and organisational capability building to equip the company for future growth. The result is considered satisfactory, in line with the Group’s long-term expectations. Operating profit The LEGO Group’s operating profit amounted to DKK 12.4 billion in 2016 against DKK 12.2 billion in 2015. The operating margin was 32.8% in 2016 against 34.2% in 2015.2 points

I see a few first order stormtroopers including the officer 75100, it looks like iron fist, upper just right of center. The pilot to the skyhopper is just south of manacled Chewbacca which I assume is from jabba's palace. The Orange pilot on the left is most likely Luke or dak from 75049. Jango at the very bottom is from the corporate alliance tank droid 75015. I think I see Shakespeare buried on the top left. There's a Jedi body with yellow hands just right of Obi-Wan.1 point
