Everyone was very excited when the Exo Suit was announced and they bought accordingly.7 points

For those still drinking the Kool aid, FO Transporter is 55.97, before the $10 off $50 and any other sywr magic. That'll bring it close to the epic price we've seen before. https://m.kmart.com/lego-star-wars-first-order-transporter-8482-75103/p-004W006973445001P7 points

10230 mini modulars Finally picked up one of these for less than a Benjamin. The "manual labor" set holder wasn't included in the transaction. Too bad a sequel hasn't been released.7 points

Groan....lets get an actual model to build rather than some minfigures with printed nameplates below them. This is lame regardless of the subject matter.6 points

I hate the model so that must mean I hate women. Sure the Little House on the Prairie was too big, but they could have pulled elements from that. Laura Ingalls, now there is a woman pioneer.5 points

I agree that there could be a good flippling opportunity similar to RI. This will certainly get national news coverage and is very timely with the movie Hidden Figures doing so well. Having said that, those mini builds are terrible. Hopefully the Lego designers can come up with something better.5 points
-
I disagree. This will enhance the collectibility of RI. People always want the first wave they missed out on but oyu need a second wave for that, which isn´t a complete remake.5 points

What a disappointment. Not to take anything away from fantastic historic females but come on. This is essentially Research Institute Take 2. Furthermore, Lego can easily issue an all female CMF series to celebrate "accomplished women in the STEM professions". https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/1-blog/post/1215 points

Off LetGo. I didn't know till the end it was a high school girl (maybe 15 or so) selling her lego. Was a bit shocked when I met them but good to see a girl liking lego/marvel. Anyway she posted ALL the minifigures for 10 dollars. Yes I know..no brainer. Deadpool alone is like 40 dollars. I asked if they had anything else and they mentioned they had 10 other sets for marvel. They wanted 50 for everything but I gave her 70. Looks Like i got some extra mini figs that don't go to any of the sets but everything seems to be mostly completed. Magneto is missing and a piece from the 6866. Some of these sets I still have sealed so once I confirm they are complete I'll just add these to my personal collection and sell the NISB ones I have. Think I made out well. I didn't want to give her only 50 so even at 70 I'm happy!5 points

If you're happy with that, then sure. Just stop calling them "legos" .....5 points

Sorry to be quoting something 2 weeks old, but I wanted to come back to give details about what happened in my case. This morning, I got an email from PayPal telling me they had resolved the dispute in the buyer's favour and I would therefore lose my £179.95 as well as pay a £14 fee for there being a chargeback and the case was now closed! Needless to say, I was f**king livid. I had supplied all the proof of delivery they needed to show I was covered with Seller Protection and explained how I had an eBay message that confirmed to me which postcode to use from the two that had been entered as the PayPal delivery address. I think some moron must have handled it because the status details were set to: We have reviewed the case. Because you have not met Seller Protection performance requirements, the transaction will be reversed. The case is now closed." I phoned them up (freephone number) and thankfully it was a competent human being on the end (Gary was his name) who listened to all the details and said that I should be protected and he would escalate it. That was about 6 hours ago. I just got another email from PayPal telling me I was being given back the £179.95 and the £14 chargeback fee. It now shows up my account as a transfer from "PayPal Balance Adjustment". Thank you, Gary at PayPal! So it basically all worked out in the end. Phew! I can't afford to be down £200 right now.4 points

This is likely directly related to all the "it looks too good to be true but let's just buy it because EBay has my back" purchases people are making.4 points

to the misogyny and hate: no clue if you were being sarcastic. everyone here are pretty chill and its a great community. please dont bring the policticallt correct/Im being oppressed routine here. If a lego set sucks it isnt from misogyny and hate. if we held a BC contest to come up with women of nasa set there would be 100 entries from here that are more creative and overall better than the ideas set.4 points

Womens nasa set maybe "lame" when compared to the voltron set, but thats because this board is 95% men aged 30 years+ This is a great opportunity for Lego to encourage more younger females into lego and STEM / engineering fields etc. Not every set has to be about investment or cater to the small AFOL market.4 points
-
The real misogyny/hate is displayed by a society that is trying to destroy/shame every feminine trait.4 points
-
Disagree with you there. Most on the board were ECSTATIC when Exo Suit was announced. The hatred did not start until LEGO produced wave upon wave upon wave of Exo Suits4 points

I thought all the female CMF were supposed to be issued with the little baby figs from now on? j/k4 points
-
What a disappointment, but it does say that they are still considering Voltron and will have an update on the 3rd quarter results announcement. I bet it was their first choice but are having problems with the license.4 points

Since this isn't yet retired, I'd hold off on declaring anything a dud. Especially since we don't know what will be featured in TLJ but not be available. If it's available 2+ years after retirement for $20 at Kmart.com, you can officially give it the Mechdragon #2 designation4 points

Amazon FBM in the last week- Haunted House - $423 Grand Emporium - $337 10x Batman Penguin Faceoffs for $22.89 each - snagged on clearance for $5. The LEGO Batman Movie lit a fire under the demand for this set.4 points

The stock has been at a 52 week high recently - So I think it is more directly related to the "more $ for ebay is more $ for ebay" theory.3 points

I like your optimistic attitude. You turned no Ideas set into a complete Voltron theme.3 points
-
On a rare set, sure, that's possible. What you're holding will likely be a heavily hoarded set with a normal to long shelf life and pretty wide availability. There is also another similarly priced and sized X-Wing available that may or may not retire sooner and may or may not be more popular. Point is...I'd take the full refund and return it, or take the partial and open it, build it, and swoosh it around your house.3 points

Anybody find this one yet? My kids would love this. Should make a Ninjago one too.3 points
