Thanks for the update. Used the TRU gift card (11.2% total) with the BOGO 40% deal to get two Arkham's. Could do bit better but wanted to get two to fill out my Batman collection. Busy adding Arctic Rollers. I think this one is going to be a very good investment. Every one of my children has purchased one to build. They love it!11 points

I love it. It's completely original. Many people here criticize Lego for rehashing sets. This is certainly no rehash. We should support this set to encourage Lego to take more chances in the future. It would have been easy to make a standard ship set but they didn't. They should be applauded for that.9 points

Not a daily deal. hmnn where to place Toyfair NYC coverage of New lego? Well, the value of Imperial Flagship, BP, and QAR will certainly hold steady or rise.4 points

Meh. I give them A for managing to replicate the ship from the movie. However, the set just does not float my boat (pun intended)4 points

Newcomers might not know it, but stephen_rockefeller was (and is) - The original mega poster. Many imitators have come & gone, but try as they might - there can only be one.4 points

The 75016 Imperial Assult Carrier is a little bland in my opinion. However, it contains a lot of useful grey bricks to design space sets. My first creation is an X Wing Fighter. It has adjustable wings, a compartment for minifig people, a large cockpit, space for the dark R2D2, and all from the original bricks except for the transparent stand bricks and plate.3 points

It took a day, but Amazon just matched WM's price of $55.01 on 21307 Caterham. Looks like max of 2. https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ideas-Caterham-Seven-Building/dp/B01GGCDK66/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487451675&sr=8-1&keywords=LEGO+213073 points

Yes the first 2 waves covers all the films, ironically the only decent film (first one) has one set. IMO the black pearl should have had minifigs from the first movie, then the Davy Jones minifig could have come in a flying dutchmen ship (wishful thinking) Curse of the Black Pearl: 4181: Isla de la Muerta Dead Mans Chest: 4182: The Cannibal Escape 4183: The Mill 4184: The Black Pearl On Stranger Tides: 4191: Captain's Cabin 4192: Fountain of Youth 4193: The London Escape 4194: Whitecap Bay 4195: Queen Anne's Revenge3 points

Wow seriously? 76082 is $20 with 185 pieces?? It is an ATM with a bike and 3 minifigs for crying out loud!! Makes you appreciate the older $20 sets like Spider Cycle Chase (the one with Venom and Nick Fury)3 points

Although I'm a SW prequel hater, I had to pickup a 7662 MTT for $105. Also picked up a couple of other things like the Chess set . My son and I began playing Chess 2 weeks ago ( he joined the school team as a 2nd grader in Oct). I didn't take a picture of the freebie Batman Lego Movie poly bag promo.3 points

I like this kid even if I don't agree with everything he said. Those guys that make those videos are being a-holes. We have all arm swept some clearance items before but you don't have to be a gloating **** about it.3 points

I dunno. He pretty much nailed the resellers who act like piggies I've seen in the toy dept. On the flip side, bricklink element / piece resellers need to get inventory somewhere. Personally, I would just buy in bulk online to save gas. Then again, my regional retail stores never have Lego at 50%-75% off. Never. I would need to move to Alabama, Arkansas, etc... where I know people find great clearance deals.3 points

40236 Valentine Picnic (seasonal vignette) shows $9.99, but in cart it is $5.355 (?). https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Romantic-Valentine-Picnic-40236 Despite some glitches, I was able checkout with 2 of these at $5.355 each...3 points

Some technical details about size. (26 inch long and 18inch tall) https://sg.style.yahoo.com/new-pirates-of-the-caribbean-dead-men-tell-no-tales-ghost-ship-revealed-in-lego-form-exclusive-120049373.html Well, that's gonna be a massive but fairly fragile construction, defo for display only seeing this flimsy transparent legs on which are standing on. after vetting I will most likely pull the trigger just because of those fabulous minifigs!2 points

I think it looks pretty bad a$$.. It's not your same ol'e ship persay.. It's different and original and that's what I like to see in a set. KUDO's to the designer.2 points

Respect to these guys who have bothered to take and upload comprehensive galleries from the Toyfair. Puts to shame the lame coverage by some of the so-called Lego specialist and fan sites. http://news.toyark.com/2017/02/18/toy-fair-2017-lego-star-wars-display-2410582 points

I won´t post any pics of what Seacow reminds me of - both in design and as an investment!2 points

first I thought: wow, so massive; but I see I would have to add a lot of pieces to build a regular ship out of it, I feel a bit of disappointment right now2 points
-
And the wind cries...Mary You're right about the canons, they do look different.2 points

May offer a neat/challenging new build technique since all the other ships have the one piece floating hull or the pre fab large pieces that just get held together with technic pins. Should definitely bump up the piece count in comparison to other ships the same size. Seems like it will either be a love/hate set for most.2 points
-
Darn. The set won't float in the bathtub. def looks diff and longer than other ships.2 points

I can't believe I actually won, I never won anything. I'll be inviting a fellow Lego nerd(though mch younger than me) to come over and smooth to see if Mr. Gold is in the box of minifigs. Thank you so much. They should run this fundraiser before year end, people would give more for the tax write off. October through December or something. Thanks for all you guys do.2 points

I went to two different stores. One store had one Cragger and a possibility of more in the back (they hadn't broken down the pallets and weren't too keen on looking), and the other store had Homers and Gimlis. The Homers are new, as they weren't there a few days ago. An employee I talked with at the first store said they are only getting little shipments at a time and not the huge amounts they were getting before. He said to check tomorrow to see what they have.2 points

I asked for the AT-AT to replace Slave I. I have a S1 in my display collection and I didn't want to use the prize for financial gain, so I asked for an AT-AT which I've been wanting and the prices are getting kinda nuts.2 points
-
Yes it is. If you read the forum, you will know that Amazon is having the BOGO 40% City sets, so if you buy 2, you will see it for that price.2 points

Got my UCS B-Wing and AT-AT (thanks Ed for the swap out) today. Now I just have to find some display space.2 points

The amount of money people were spending on all the deals this past Nov/Dec was off the charts, I really think the raffle would have be the last thing people would have been interested in.1 point

Went a bit old school for the weekend... Built the b-model from my 8438. Being old, I like the brick built technic stuff. A nice back up build that looks cool. Not as much going on functionally as the main model but that's par for the course. Got it a couple of years back on eBay and is my first time building this model1 point
