My 3 year quest and wait is finally over! After losing out on numerous Ebay auctions (lost one last night with what seems to be in the usual last 5 seconds to a person that never bid on the item all day) and CL listings, I was finally able to buy the 3368 Space Centre I have so desired and I got it for $90 NISB with free shipping. It is the final piece I wanted for my space collection. Good things do come to those who wait...20 points

Wife: "what did you order from Amazon?" Me:"I don't know, nothing?" Me:"it must be special, it's triple taped. Says "premium" on the label. " Me:"it's a great mystery, I'm so excited " Wife: =\ Me:"??? Oh yeah, I Pre-ordered this a long time ago. At least I have a new box to ship minis in. =) "7 points

After visiting my climbing partners house, who is also an AFOL, and seeing his original UCS x-wing 7191, I decided to build 10240. Loved the build, although the back was a bit weak during the first few stages. Can't say I love stickers much but did get the canopy on straight. Think my biggest trouble is that I can't stop until I finish a build. Was in bed at 3am, back up for work at 7...6 points

I bought 18 more Portal 2. I couldn't help myself. It took all my self control to leave 10 on the shelf. This Dimensions blowout is really testing my resolve. I'm telling myself to cool it until I see Doctor Who. Parting these out was fun at first, but is getting overwhelming. Tonight I ditched the boxes before I left the parking lot. Here's my full recycle bin today:5 points

Hi all, today I picked up my daughter from school after a muddy mountainbike ride. We build Lego all afternoon. She was building the Heartlake Friends Cupcake Cafe while I cut the seals of the 75140 Resistance Troop Transporter. Great quality time! I was amazed by the building process of 75140, what a magnificent set. Well designed and it looks awesome. The set is bigger than I expected and it feels really solid. Despite the stickers I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this build. And Princess Leia is special, great minifig. pc screenshot picture uploader uploading pictures screen capture software3 points

40153 Birthday Table Decoration is a great deal at $4.99... too bad it is limit 2. It's a great set with 120 pcs and a minifig for $5. Now going for $18 - $19 on Amazon. Don't try and put it on your cake tho... it sinks in the frosting / smashes your cake when you try to activate the little "jack-in-the-box" feature... and of course, no fun to clean after that. I agree with this 100%. The signs are already there. Take the 2013 and 2014 sets as prime examples. The Republic Gunship, AT-TE, and have blown away many similar OT released sets. The Republic Gunship currently sells for around 300 while you might get 150 for Jabbas Sail Barge. Both were released the same year, and both retired at the same time. The AT-TE sits around 200. Jedi interceptor is now around 70.00 when you could pick it up for around 20 in early 2015. Meanwhile the A-wing is about 50.00. In 2014, it's evident now I should have spent more time accumulating MTTs instead of Cantinas. That sets rise has blown away sets like the Cantina, B-wing, and all the Jabba released sets from the OT era. Just recently Obi's interceptor is outpacing the Hoth Attack and droid escape by quite a bit, and they all retired at the same time and cost the same amount. While the AT-AT and ISD have done well and seen great gains, those are just two sets out of many. In 2015, recently retired exclusives like the Battle Droid Carrier, and Hailfire droid are already rising quickly, much quicker than the OT sets, although the Jedi Duel is showing promising signs. In the AFOL world, I think older gen-xers that grew up with the original Star Wars films are now a market that is decreasing in size, while the milennials are a growing market. Seems fairly evident to me.2 points

Amazon's decision... they refunded the buyer, but: "We have found no reason to believe that you are responsible for this claim. We have issued a refund to the buyer, but we will not debit your account for that refund. Please consider this transaction closed." Frustrating in its injustice, but not much different than a chargeback for a large eBay item. I'll probably have to "produce some invoices" for Amazon, but I'll take it for now as "lesson learned." Thanks for the help to those good BP people who sent PMs and gave sage advice on the forum.2 points

Makes me wonder if Lego would ever consider filling out the interior on their earlier UCS sets like this and the Falcon. PS, thanks for sharing the build progress. Really enjoy seeing these on sets I've never built.2 points

Lately, I've received sets from ebay sellers -- hopefully from nobody on here -- that have come kmart style. But at least they would put some cardboard on the sides within the bag. Not yesterday though. Got a gray bag with a 41063 dented and creased to hell inside -- shipped Smart Post even though the item said Priority Mail. Sent a complaint message and got this reply: "Thank you for letting me know I know next time not to send it through smart post I apologize the box was brand new as you can see on the pictures I am really sorry" No send it back for a full refund, let me take X off, etc... I sent them a response telling them I'll be submitting a refund request. I'm tempted to leave negative feedback on this seller as well -- for lack of common sense.2 points

Don't forget to take into account the huge influx of supply into the secondary market. There's only a limited amount of buyers, and with so many sellers there will be a race to the bottom price wise. Unless your a seasoned bricklink seller and used to parting out sets, people usually give up parting stuff out and just move massive inventory for minimial profit to avoid the hassle.2 points

I am suppose to be taking care of yellow subs today but I got distracted and went on offer up and well you know how that goes. I think I did ok! Everything pictured for 380. Hard to tell if it's 100% complete (she was selling it for her husband who hasn't touched them in like 10 years) if the 10143 is close to complete I'll be happy! Lol Now I'm going to get back on track and start getting ready to ship these 90 subs!2 points

Ordered some track from Brick Coaster (https://www.brickcoaster.com/) and then Bricklink'd the brown pieces to make it look like a wooden roller coaster. We then modified it with power functions and technic chains to get a working lift hill. Need to modify a few other things, but the darn kids keep playing with it and getting in my way!2 points
