We call them valued customers, which is much friendlier and much less offensive.11 points

Ha ha! My wife just accepted a voluntary bump on her flight and was given an 800.00 amex gift card. She sent me a note telling me I can use it to buy more lego sets Best wife ever! I will, of course, be BUYING MORE RAFFLE TICKETS for Ed's school fundraiser. Those prizes are amazing and there are great odds of winning. That is unless more of you step up and buy some tickets. Nothing would make me happier then to see my odds of winning decrease drastically. That is my way of issuing a challenge by the way LOL Paul9 points

Not sure if it's been posted here before, but you can spin the "big wheels" linked below once a day for a shot at SYW points. No survey questions and the links go straight to the instant win games. My understanding is the red background wheel resets weekly but the teal one may only pay out points once per account. Links are mobile links, delete the mp/ for desktop links. http://www.shopyourway.com/mp/app/16250/l http://www.shopyourway.com/mp/app/16250/l?p=WebPromo8 points

Gorgeous creation by Lox Lego. The creation of curves and style used worked quite well for this car. If you would like more info see the home page for this creation: Hennessey Venom GT In its new garage spot with some of the other super cars. Fits right in!7 points

Some more information is now available regarding the next CMF series so I thought I'd revive this thread. Series 17 is scheduled for a May 1st release and will retail for 3.99$ / 3.99€. The European price hike does not seem to be unique to the Batman series as some retailers are already putting up listings for the S17 figures for 3.99€. I think we can expect 3.99€ for all of the future CMF series. As for the content of the series, so far we have only seen this picture on the Batman CMF leaflet: Here are some of the rumored minifigures (found on eurobricks forum): Circus Strongman Butterfly Suit Girl Hot Dog Vendor Battle Dwarf Corn Cob Guy (leaked image floating around) Feel free to post rumors and/or speculate about the series (but don't post any leaked images). What other miniifgures do you guys expect / want to see?6 points

You may want to rethink your approach. You'll find that just about all of us here don't subscribe to the idea that we screw anyone into paying a market price. Last time I checked, every single person that had made a purchase from me had done so willingly without me forcing them to do so.5 points

Scarecrow special delivery will perform nowhere near as RE. Just because it is a store exclusive means nothing. It's not even in the top 3 sets from the first wave. Lego have spent millions on marketing / PR trying to make the batman movie a success, no way they are letting any of the first wave sets retire before a year. They need batman to be perform as good as the lego movie or better, as they know if it doesnt there in serious trouble.4 points

Well I followed what @Fleck had done and stopped by the Walmart by my work and asked the manager on duty if they would sell the 7 x 75148 for $20ea and the remaining 3 x 70592 for $15ea. The manager politely said he couldn't go lower on 75148 right now but would give me the 70592's for $15 ea. So ended up with those and also found 3 x 30447 for $2.00ea.3 points

My son and I built 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium over the last few days. I'd say it was a 50/50 effort. Wow. What an impressive set! I'll always be bummed that I missed out on the UCS version. This is a great set though. Definitely a winner.3 points

$36 each out the door at a closing kmart. I like the elves theme, and it's been decent for me investment-wise so far. This set has disappeared from most places already and has been selling from $70-$90 on eBay.3 points

No unethical practices were acted out in order to reach these prices. Nor was any price matching done. I simply asked a walmart associate if I could speak to a manager about items in the clearance isle. When the person came back, they introduced themselves as the CSM and ask "How may I help you?" I simply said I would like to purchase all their Star Wars advent calendars and was hoping she could give me a better price on them. They were marked @ $20. She said " what were you hoping to purchase them for? and I replied $10 each. She then agreed to meet me half way at $15 each. Then I asked about the Lego Jokerland set with the box all beat up on and marked down to $89. Said I would like to purchase it as well if she could also give me a better price on it. She took the box with her and came back about 2 mins later with a new price tag of $57.85 What is the worst thing they will do...say "No"........that is why I said it never hurts to ask. And yes...I have been turn down before. The last time I was in there to make a deal I walked out with 2 Razor Drift Karts for $ 80 each marked down to $100 from $300 Maybe I should not be sharing this idea....but it is nothing new....it is called bargaining. Good luck out there and never hesitate to ask..????3 points

Whenever I price-match with my local computer retailer (MicroCenter), they always go to one of their sales stations and navigate themselves to the website where I claim the price to match is showing. If it shows and meets the PM Policy criteria (no 3PS etc) they honor the match, if not, I'm out of luck. I think this is the proper way to do PMs.3 points

We are starting to hear about the upcoming annual Halloween set. It sure looks better than last year's Vampire setswhich can still be found in some Lego stores at 50% off. LegoLeroy from eurobricks posted a pic of a recent Halloween set which was taken from the backs of the Seasonal 2017 Easter Egg Hunt's (40237) instruction. Set name and # will be announced soon. Allen from thebrickfan wrote up a nice little summary, "From the looks of it, the set shows off a large gate and in the background, there’s presumably a haunted house with an orange sky backdrop. There’s also a cauldron with some food stuff in it. The minifigures include a man and a skeleton"2 points

There was also a 3pack magnet before, where u could not detach hips from torso, magnets were inside legs so you could remove legs from hips and put regular ones but guard from that pack had glued torso to hips. @fossilrock, picture in question has darker arms, so far hands don't match, so maybe a mismatch unless another member finds a pic with dark red arms and black hands. but dark arms are in the few pics above. short cape indicates that he isn't a full fledged member of royal guard yet, he's a wannabe,2 points

Sometimes they are drop shipping your item somewhere as well but regardless its a sale. An invoice is literally proof of nothing as they can lie and say it was never included anyway. I honestly feel invoices are a waste of time, paper and resources. Everything should be electronic.2 points

It's weird but not all that uncommon really (on Bricklink anyway), especially if they are unusual parts or a combination of parts in numbers particular to your store, usually means there's been an interesting moc published somewhere that's caught the attention of new builders or a set that's received recent attention from something like going out of production and is starting to climb in value making it worth while to complete now.2 points

Really can't see this failing in the UK. Literally every one of 60 million people knows Doctor Who and merchandise and memorabilia is very popular and collectible. It's just not necessarily the same people who go on SAH. Give it a year or two and Dr Who back on telly and this will skyrocket.1 point

I do not know what happened this weekend! Usually I have 3-5 to take to the post office. I actually have to package more. Some sets are Tie Advanced, Trex, Tumbler, Train station, Some hobbit stuff, grand emporium, and more that I can't think of as I spent the last 3 hours packaging everything.1 point
