Built a used 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle that I picked up for $230 with shipping a couple weeks ago. What an impressive set. I knew it was a large set but it always seems bigger when it sits in the dining room table. Had all minifigs no box no instructions. I can cross this set off my list.7 points

I found a HL Mall for $54 at the WM near the spot I picked up a $30 Ultrasonic Raider MISB. I was feeling so good I paid full price for 4x TLBM figures to appease my children.5 points

New to BP but not Lego. As a kid I grew up with the old school space ships and what not (not like what they have today). I ended up with a decent collection by the time I shipped out to bootcamp but while I was gone my Grandmother passed my collection on to my younger cousins. By the time I found out it was too late, so I moved on. Well fast forward a few decades, I have a son who has taken an affinity for Lego as well . While researching I came across BP and while I don't usually join forums, or communities, I couldn't help but notice how nice everyone is to each-other - you know, compared to the rest of the Internet - so I couldn't help but join and say hello. Looking to do some investing (I don't mind sitting on a set for a year or two and I have an attic ) and obviously collecting. So, were the December Lego sales normal for that time of year? To me it seemed like there were 30% - 40% off deals to be had everywhere, and I got to learn the UPS guy's first name. LOL4 points

Forgive me if it has already been posted: LEGO Shop at Home has Disney minifigures reduced to $3.19 (not a huge deal but $0.80 can add up with large quantities) limit 18 per order https://shop.lego.com/en-US/The-Disney-Series-71012 Someone else already pointed out Seasonal Elf and Santa reduced to $5 (they are still available online) https://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Little-Elf-Helpers-40205 https://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Santa-40206 And of course the new Batman Movie CMF's are available (regular price) https://shop.lego.com/en-US/THE-LEGO-BATMAN-MOVIE-71017 Batwing poly is available for free with purchases of $35 or more3 points

Definitely not normal but not uncommon. After sending in many shipments we have figured out amazon's fulfillment system and have never lost a single shipment or had a package sitting in receiving for more than a day even in the busy holiday season. Take note of what center you are shipping to, whether or not it is a fulfillment center or a distribution hub, and how you send it there (usps, fedex or ups). The carrier you choose makes a huge difference. At some centers UPS will drop off right at the dock and your items will get checked in and available to sell within hours while for the same location FEDEX will drop off in the yard and your items can sit for a 7-10 days before being checked in (and vice versa at other centers). FEDEX is normally cheaper but if you need that box checked in ASAP and you know the UPS guy is going to land it at the right spot then it is worth the extra few dollars during Q4. Play around with times and numbers to get the shipments you want and lock them in months in advance. As for the ASIN issue I have never had any problems like that but we don't seem to sell alot of the same sets as other folks on this board that have problems. The majority of stuff we do sell are new products, bundles or multipacks that we create and control the listings for. Obviously that strategy won't work for most lego items but my entire point was to diversify as much as possible on the platform (and I don't mean megabloks or SW toys).3 points

And in case anyone doesn't know, Citi credit cards have price protection. You have to initiate price rewinds for each item. But if there's a lower price within 90 days at any retailer, they'll return the difference to you. It's worked with 3rd party seller prices on AMZ as well, not just name brand stores.3 points

information for folks out there. target & TRU ban now extends to target-ebay and TRU-ebay as well. [i.e. any order you place at target-ebay and tru-ebay will be cancelled as well ] be careful with what you do but looks like its going to be very very hard to keep the buying privilege alive if one is reselling.2 points

What does all this have to do with Architecture? We have a thread for UK / EURo market discussion and another one about the UK exchange rate. Could a mod please move this discussion there so we can speculate about the Arc de Triomphe and Guggenheim?2 points

I think that's a YMMV question depending on how you make and track your purchases. But here's what's involved. You can go on the price rewind website, search for and add the items you've bought. You add the price, date, and location of purchase. And upload proof of purchase with that credit card which can be a receipt picture or PDF'd email. Or you can manually submit requests by mail or email with the same information plus the lower price you found, the vendor, proof of purchase with card, and dated lower price. Printed webpages work as long as you have the date and link in the header/footer. There are $500/item and $2500/yr caps and some exclusions apply. https://www.citipricerewind.com/guide I'm happy to answer other questions in PM rather than derail the thread more.2 points

Saw those in Target the other day. Buying 2 gives you room for 16 figs, but there are 20 unique ones. D'Oh!2 points

Not sure if it has been posted earlier but I came across the last Ideas Maze set in my area today. Marked down to $55.98. Going to go back and price match the ones I got a week ago. Will end up with two for less than the original price of one. Not bad on a retired set.2 points

For personal use, sure why not. For investment I'd wait. It will most likely see deeper discounts in the future, and will be a good candidate to see at least 50% off clearance at Walmart or Target down the road.2 points

Hi! I'm new to the Lego world. I was introduced to it by my husband a several years ago but only in the past few years have I started putting them together myself. I love Legos even though I'm really bad at putting them together. He got me into them for depression, stress and anxiety relief and WOW do they really help! This Christmas he got me the Palace Cinema and hopefully it will give me at least a good month of assorted reliefs! I'm super slow at putting them together and with all the mistakes I make, I do a lot of taking them apart.1 point

10 gallons of Lego's for $100. She said she's not quite sure of the sets involved but it's both boys and girls sets. This would be my first bulk buy and I feel a little nervous because it appears to all be disassembled and to lack any instruction manuals. But for 10 gallons... that's a lot of pieces.1 point

Despite what @asharerin wrote above, it is not always roses and rainbows when selling FBA 1. I have inventory that has been "in reserved" for the entire December (so much for catching the holiday traffics ). Open a case, boom, inventory is now 0 while the case is under investigation 2. A listing page for an ASIN just disappeared. I mean there is 0 result now when I searched for the item on Amazon. My FBA inventory is "active" but there is no way anyone can ever find the page to buy the item Are these normal or am I just that unlucky???1 point

I like how Han left space on the side for cars to make it out to the street. Nobody likes a smuggler who blocks the driveway with his freighter. On the other hand, that lawn is going to be wrecked by takeoff.1 point
