If you're fine with capital tied up in these UCS sets for half a decade that would be a lot more profitable invested in other sets at quicker turnover then it's a winning strategy. A lot less return but ideal for those who couldn't be fussed with the extra work. But the eyecatching flagship sets are what most newcomers target as they are more glamourous and have the eyewatering lore of profits of a bygone age. The gold-fevered should be under no illusion about the recent trend on these UCS sets due to the surge of new investors stockpiling these and killing past growth rates.

Hi guys and happy new year! I wanted to start my posts this year with not one but two micro landscape builds inspired by Jedha. The first is a reconstruction of the Assault on Jedha complete with Hovertank and At-St. The At-St model is an old build but the hover tank is a new design I am really pleased with. Barnes and Noble is also having a "Save $10 when you spend $100+" promotion that should be able to be stacked with this. I tried to test that and I hit an error "The seller only allows buyers to purchase 5 items every 10 days." And I've purchased 4 If it works it would mean 2 Big Bens at $23 @ and a White House at $39. Very limited LEGO choices.

Apparently there's another new Star Wars polybag. This one was found in a Lego Store in Romania. Over at brickset they are speculating that it will be part of a collectible series, where the individual items will click together to form some kind of display. I'm not particularly thrilled with yet another recolored version of R2-D2, however I do like the idea of a collectible series. Probably TRU and/or the Lego Store.

Their is a new battle pack coming out in the summer that has 2 stormies 1 flame trooper and 1 officer. Not sure what the price will be however.

A couple more holiday builds were finished up with the kids last night and after school today. My daughter finished up the Friends Amusement Park Space Ride 41128 to go with her Hot Dog Van. She's currently saving up for the Roller Coaster and Emma's House which she didn't get for Christmas (though there are several Emma's Houses in inventory). We also built another SW Mos Eisley Cantina 75052. My son sold his that we built last year for $85 before Christmas, but we had already picked up another complete used one for $45 on CL, so we built it again to re-add to the display case. Cool set...I am surprised it hasn't appreciated more than it has.

If this is true I'm in for 75. This will be a sleeper flying under the radar. We've never seen anything like this. Mark my words. Hot cakes.

Just going to put this here: I counted 70 boxes (including the ones on pegs).

Water alone won't work and they get into the bricks holes. I washed in vinegar, then in borax (supposed to work) I then put in black bag and put in sun to heat way up. Then since I'm paranoid I put many into pillow cases and into the drier which is supposed to be a sure way to kill any remaining. I also threw out tons. At least I'll make double my money including the pest inspector and extra supplies back on minifigures alone. I'll also get a donation receipt for the ultra clean bricks I don't want to look at and don't feel right selling.
