  1. You really should stop talking about yourself in third person Tabby, people are going to start thinking you're losing your marbles.

  7. While I agree on the state of their stores (and all mine have closed over the last 5 or so years as well), you're missing out quite a lot by avoiding KMart. It's basically the excitement of last month's TRU, Amazon and Target deals, all year round. I think my average KMart buy-in over the last year is around 50-60% off of MSRP. Just more of a "make your own deal" vs. publicized deals, but that makes it worth it

  9. Other way around for me. Buying is pure stress. Selling is like getting paid to play. I love packing stuff. Seriously. If people didn't pay me to mail stuff to them, I'd probably just send packages back and forth to myself. Plus buying sends money out, which makes me nervous. Selling brings it back, which makes me happy.

  11. You know, I've been thinking this hospital that was rumored awhile back. Look at all the accessories that have come out the last year or so. Crutches, new baby figure, head wrap, bottle, wheelchair. Already had syringes. We see a lot of accessories show up in the minifigure line and then come out in another line the next year like the Leia hair on the forest girl before Ewok Village came out. I'm predicting a hospital due to all these clues that are right in front of our noses. You would have to think one that was well done would be a goldmine of an investment as well. Every city on the planet needs healthcare, lego city is no different.

  14. I usually wear a Doctor Who shirt on weekends. Every time I do, I get comments from people about what they like about Doctor Who. There are people who have no idea what my shirts mean, and there are others who want to share. I have no real fears for this set.

  15. I didn't loose any money on the 10188 DS, as a buy in at $262-$309, I made about $5,000 on the ones I sold. like I said before these would be about $700 and up without the remake. plus nobody new they were going to remake the same thing,

  16. I hope nobody in the US has gotten tons of Doctor Who sets unless you got them dirt cheap, as for me I have none as I don't think the set will ever bring any good money.

  18. I received mine yesterday. Sturdy, solid, heavy, (insert complimentary adjective) box. I already told the kiddo to get outta my way when I boldly go to where these Lego hands have never gone before. For your viewing pleasure.

  19. Bought my last 12 two sundays ago. I'm not buying anymore. When I first started doing it weeks ago from TRU I was selling SG for high 30s low 40s (and selling everything else separately for 100% return after fees/shipping. Made the mistake of mentioning the idea on here and went from 20-30 SGs to like 150. My last auction ends tomorrow night. I think it's to late to get into parting it now. Was fun/easy while it lasted.

  22. Really like this model and I hope it makes it into production. I'm envisioning a shelf full of "Motos" in the future. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/160838 This is the 1967 BMW R60/2. Known across the world for its ruggedness and reliability, the R60 could provide a steady ride to rider and passenger alike. Nowadays, this vintage bike is still as reliable as it was 50 years ago. This Lego model was made for a friend and fellow Lego enthusiast to commemorate his father, who would take him on rides in this very motorcycle through the countryside. It is constructed to match all the various specifications and details of the original bike, including the unique triangular front fork, hand brakes, a fuel tank, twin engines, a tire inflator, twin engines, and a side car (as of now still a work in progress), as well as a rotating handlebars and a retractable kickstand. Do you want your stormtrooper to have a stunning R60 motocycle to ride? Give us a vote, you won't regret it!

  24. Easily the most influential part of my childhood was this book. It was a fun adventure of a couple told through the universal language of still frames sometimes having a few semi "how to" builds strewn about and two sticker sheets added for good measure. There was a little theme mixing but nothing really. I mean nowhere near The LEGO Movie levels. Haha. Well anyway turns out Jangbricks had a recent nostalgia trip for a video so anyone wanting to relieve some memories or just curious to see page by page what it was then watch this.

  32. Yes... but the MSRP on Lincoln was $29.99 (and it was often available for ~$20). At $49.99, you've given the house a lot of chips.

  39. Nice quick and easy build, price wise probably slightly high at £30 but it does include some nice figs, and you get Hans new hair piece without dropping £400 on the new DS. Plus a must to sit alongside Jabbas sail barge which I will build again soon. Enjoy the pics (pinched Luke from my sons advent calendar)

  41. Today I dug this one out of my loft to accompany my EV. I forgot what a nice little set this is, good selection of minifigs, a building and a vehicle. I know the perception of the EV is hugely divided on here, but for me, one of my favorite sets, and I personally think 8038 looks great next to it, albeit a little cramped!!!
