Hi guys, to celebrate Rogue One hitting the screens in the UK I have gone back to my favourite style of building and created this Scarif micro landscape. IMG_20161203_175808 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I have tried to include as much action from the trailers as possible including the AT-ACT being shot with a rocket. IMG_20161212_135327 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr (for those of you who don't know the walkers in Rouge One are a different class from the AT-ATs we are used to!) IMG_20161212_231611 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I have included the cargo ship being blown up. DSC_3312 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr IMG_20161213_083734 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr And a tie striker taking on a u-wing. I have tried to force the perspective on this one so it looks as though they are flying high above the battlefield. IMG_20161213_084115 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I have just put this up on lego ideas and if you like the build I'd really appreciate the support. Just search for 'Scarif' on lego ideas. As always any feedback would be greatly appreciated too! I hope you all enjoy Rogue One and may the force be with you.11 points

Buyer fatigue in full effect over here. Even at ~50% off I can't bring myself to store these for umpteen months waiting for them to retire.6 points

Sorry... no pictures... my 3rd grade son did extremely well on some advanced placement tests at school... top of his class in math! So we had to reward him. Pulled out of storage my only copies of 79011 Dol Guldur Ambush and 79014 Dol Guldur Battle. He's been wanting these on-and-off for a long time (he didn't know I had them). I probably paid about $10 for the one, and $55 for the other, over two years ago. Probably can't make much profit on them anyway, but even if I could... the look on his face was worth so much more than money.6 points

This has beene of the best two weeks ever. Every day there are boxes outside, I open them and forgot that I had even ordered the items inside. Day after day. Multiples after multiples. Too old to remember what I did. Getting old is kind of fun. I blame the spending on forgetting what I already did.6 points

Found a lonely 21306 Ideas Beatles Sub at my local target doing some last minute Xmas shopping. This set has never been stocked here and was also red tagged to $41.99. Figured hmm most likely a return but all seals were in tact and box was minty fresh. No shelf tags or space or end displays anywhere for this set. The toy section and particular the lego aisles were a mess. I was hoping to find some batman movie mini figs. No luck, still S16 & KyloshuttlePoly. The entire batman movie end display was being blocked by a dolly full of random boxes filled with electronics and movies. Managed to unearth a few series 5 mixels @3.99 ea that showed up from the bermuda triangle to put me over the $10 off 50, sweaten the deal even more than the $41.99 be a hold or for personal collection/build. The cashier doesn't see the red tag because the check out scene was a mad house. I don't notice until I get out in the car so I head back in to customer service. The same guy who said good night helped me out, felt bad as I explained the cashier had missed the red tag price. He immediately backed out the $59.99 on my $57.97(67.97 before the $10iff) crediting me with $2.02. He then rang up the red tag price of 41.96 and said felt bad about the whole ordeal and my time so gave me the $10off'50' again and over rode 2x$5 store coupons on this transaction to make it $31.96. So all in all to make a short story kinda long that really only took place in a very small amount of time. If I'm not mistaken, I paid $32 for a 21306 and target paid me $2.02 to take a few mixels off their hands phew5 points

The delay is not from us, it is from your email provider. AOL, Hotmail, MSN, a few others are very famous for holding emails when they see a lot of email coming from a particular place. Not sure if you have any options to whitelist , that may help. I use a third party SMTP server to help with delivery. We have sent 2.7m emails since Nov 25 which is when much of all this deal craziness started. There is a good chance they are the ones putting it on hold. The forum queues them up and just spits it out, this service just shoots it out from there. As I said, I would look to see if there is a way to whitelist the email, that may help them find their way to your inbox quicker. Gmail seems to get them just fine.4 points

Smart kids know the difference between clone crap and legit LEGO. Sure, some parents/grandparents don't care and will try to pawn off the trash, but when the kids see the fake box, parts and instructions, the parents will be sorry they made that choice. Most kids who play with LEGO on a consistent basis are hard to fool and are above average in intelligence. They want the real deal...4 points

Plenty of discussion of this on the bubble thread. I am of the opinion that there are plenty of people like you, who have no effect on the price. You wouldn't buy one at $300, so your purchase of an ILLEGAL copy is irrelevant to the market for sealed 75054s. (IMO) Mostly collectors buy NIB sets at 2.5x RRP, and they don't want potentially toxic plastic junk, so they will still pay the premium.3 points

I think they actually base it on sales data because I just got reimbursed ~ $120 for a 10697 that was damaged even though the set is currently selling somewhere around $70.3 points

Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Originally I wasn't going to add a backdrop but I think with just the sense of the walls behind the action it helps set the scene even more. IMG_20161204_194619 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway I am really happy with how this has turned out, it was a pretty quick build with just bits and pieces I had lying around! As always though I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and may the force be with you! IMG_20161204_151421 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr2 points

countdown to my showing is less than 2 hrs. now gotta find my 1977 kenner lightsabler to inflate, fight my son and scream "you passed the test" 30 mins into the film. note: In 1978, Kenner execs knew Padawans would go ga-ga over a toy version of the Star Wars lightsaber. As one of the first Star Wars toys on the market, it lit up toy aisles, literally. Designers basically took a flashlight and connected it to an inflatable yellow vinyl blade. Although no yellow lightsaber can be found in A New Hope, the color stayed in step with the one brandished by the Luke action figure. The toy lightsaber commercial featured kids slinging their blades and swatting at silver balloons, the latter a stand-in for Jedi training remotes. Sounds like playtime bliss, right? Well, overly excited wannabe Skywalkers often dueled so hard their blades would spring a leak, deflating the fun. Thanks to forward-thinking toy honchos, all wasn’t lost. Each lightsaber came with a patch kit for repairs.2 points

I can agree to the kids knowing the difference. My wife tried to buy some other brick toy that was in the toy aisle at Target a couple of weeks ago and our 4 yo daughter told her it's not LEGO.2 points

Rather them stay that way and just mark everything 50-75% early next year. Less chaos. I don't like the way they marked a lot of stuff 20-30% for over a month. I like the weekly mark downs lol...2 points
