You can always drive this into the TRU parking lot and starting selling out the back of it. BTW, I saw Walmart has the TRU Dr Who Price of $38.99 as well.9 points

For Amazon 10 returns gets your account flagged. After that any returns will get your account manually reviewed and they will tally up your activity and if you are a net money loser you will get one warning. Any return or concession asked for after that warning and you and everyone in your household / shipping addresses/ same IP are banned for life. If you are a net profit maker then you stay on until the next manual review. They limit purchases per household per week so you won't get banned ordering those limits. If you create multiple accounts to skirt the limits you will get one warning. Again if you keep skirting after the warning it is banned for life time. You really don't want to get banned from Amazon as they are almost impossible to find a workaround and in the future they are most likely to be supplying a significant chunk of your consumables. Lego ban is easy to get around but not really worth the hassle as their prices are awful. Lego just stings because alot of bricklinkers and LUGs got banned so they really hurt the brand and goodwill.6 points

I got lucky and picked this up in an EBay auction for $12 plus $10 shipping. All the minifigs are there except for one skeleton crystal head dude. Less than 10 pieces missing and they will be picked up soon with some other stuff on Bricklink. I already have this set loose, but didn't have a box.6 points

I've talked about this set up a lot lately, since I discovered it a couple months back. It's what I plan to use as I'm setting up my villages/fairgrounds. I'm still collecting parts right now. I'm guessing you heard about it from me, so I'll confirm what you're describing is the MILS Plate method that@brickcrazyhouse linked to above.3 points

Honestly, it's a boring train and I don't like the trains with the large panels for the front and back end. You really need 2 carriages for it $83 is a great price because you can take all of the power functions out and put them into a different train (any train) and subsequently get rid of the passenger train and buy something better like the Horizon Express which is far superior and heavier as well.3 points

I have 17 of these. Most were purchased back when exclusives didn't get discounted, so... yeah. I paid too much. Anyway, that was also back when the most recent retiring SW exclusives were SSD and R2. Oh happy days. Now the most recent retiring SW exclusive is Red 5, which can't break 40% over MSRP on eBay. Ewok Village is similarly overpriced on a per-piece basis ($250 MSRP for ~2000 pcs), and rather than being one of the most iconic SW ships, it's a (spoiler alert) Ewok Village. I'm guessing the target market for these post-retirement is rich kids (as in kids rather than adults). None of my adult SW fan friends give a damn about ewoks. Or Care Bears, or My Little Pony. My hope for this set is essentially that it hit $300 in a few months so I can unload the bulk of mine without taking a loss. SW playsets do not historically do very well relative to vehicles, and ewoks are in a class by themselves. The closest equivalent I can think of would be the Battle of Endor (#8038), the price appreciation of which does not impress.2 points

One difference between 60051 and previous train iterations is the inclusion of a level crossing. Level crossings are one of those irrational Lego setups. The primary parts are relatively common, e.g. http://brickset.com/parts/4211819, but sets with them tend to out-perform the average, see 7936. So while the train itself is not spectacular, the set may do better than previous iterations. I'm curious to see where this one ends up, although I have none stored away myself.2 points

Got to build the new Lego Batman Movie Batmobile and Mr. Freeze sets. What a difference... Batmobile set Mr. Freeze set The Batmobile is clearly a better set and not just because it has more bricks. The articulation on the wheels, while not critically important, allows the Batmobile to sit higher or lower (think monster truck vs. dragster) depending on your preference, and can also swing out for "flight-mode". The vehicle itself is really slick, and I love how all of Batman's vehicles have their names "stenciled" on the side. The Batman and Robin figs are great, while the twins are just okay and Manbat is a repeat, although I don't believe the original had the back printing this one does. This Manbat also has two faces. That said, the other set was disappointing. Mr. Freeze, the star of the set, is downright pitiful. While the Mr. Freeze minifigure is excellent, the mech-suit looks like an anorexic mixel. In the past, Lego has given us such great mechs that I've come to expect excellence but this one misses the mark. I even like the little scene and how it combines with two others, but the mech just kills the set. The "ice encasing bricks" have been done before, but the designer chose to use gray bricks at the base inexplicably. Disappointing...2 points
