I am Just a Pilgrim. I have over $1000 of birds idea sets. I also have a lot more mammoth stompers than I care to admit (it's a cool set, admit it)6 points

I went with a Destiny's Bounty 70738 from Target. eBay Target had the same price, added a Star Wars battle pack, and after the $15 off it came to like $68 total shipped.6 points

This will be the start of a new thread dedicated to Lego sales, coupons, discounts, great finds, etc for the huge chunk of land that sits above the United States called CANADA. We are not kicking the Canadians out of the US thread, but just centralizing all the Canadian content to one focused area. There are a few threads out there for TRU and Walmart, so we may combine all of them to make up the Daily Deals thread. I will also be publishing the updates for major retailers in here as well.5 points

Was debating on selling these architecture sets for months, but decided it was time. Sold my last Sungnyemun for 300.00 Sold my last Sears Tower for 99.99 FBM (sold quite a few of these during the day over 100+ before it fell back below that threshold. Still obtained 4x after fees) Sold my last Farnsworth House for 229.99 FBM (this one made me some great cash, but I think the gains are near peak...maybe i'm wrong5 points

That's good to know. I am afraid to ask Walmart employee about inventory tracker. For example, I picked up an Indominus today and ask my son to scan the price. He found an employee instead. Employee helped him by scan the bar code and tell him $220. Had he said $119, I would have walked away. But I know $220 is a BS number and is probably sold by Toywiz. So I scan it myself and turns out to be $30. Sorry Timmy.4 points

Ditto to guys like stragus, legorules, and Jeff14 who have helped me with advice, product and trades. Lets continue keeping this fun and civil, Canadian.4 points

You just caught us in a moment. It's been pretty Canadian Eh for the most part in here, so all good On the notes of giving props, I'd like to give some props out to @Sandwraith, @Thumper, and @Zender for helping me out with some at or below cost deals and trades over the past year. Showing what this community is all about. Cheers guys.4 points

In for another ToA terd. This is one of the best builds and without a doubt one of the best looking sets out there. Gets lots of attention from guests and the shadow puppet stage is very clever. Ninjago4LIFE tattoo on my neck.3 points

Craigslist sale. 3 sets to one buyer. Creator bike shop & cafe $80, creator mountain hut $40, city mobile police unit $30. I paid around $70 for all.3 points

make sure they didn't drain your transmission fluid and overfilled your crankcase, or put a new crush washer on top of the old one thus creating a leak around the oil plug, or cross threaded your filter and tightened it with an airgun to make it stop leaking. a lot can go wrong with drain/change filter/fill in hands of an idiot.3 points

Combine it with some graham crackers and play-doh, and you've got yourself a safe space. Can't have too many of those.3 points

Bought one 75102 Poe’s X-Wing Fighter late last night on Jet.com for under $51 before tax using the 20% off code from the Brick Picker’s community (the community is so awesome!) with free shipping and got a little more off because I used a debit card when I paid. Saved 36.5% off RRP. Paid using a Visa GC my wife and I got from a rebate so it was actually free! Now I have one for my collection and one for investment. Sweet!3 points

That gif was kind of funny the first time. After seeing it 6000 times since every set retirement occurs, can I just say it lost its luster 5999 retirees ago!3 points

Jestro's Volcano Lair. . For myself. Im trying to justify it by thinking I'll build it when my boy builds his Christmas Lego and I'll be the baddie against his Ninjago goodies (double shame for believing you can successfully mix themes).3 points

Yo, my name is Donbee. I bought an Elves display case featuring a boat and a tree house-type thingy for my daughter. The thing is huge, I have no place to put it, and the pieces are glued together. Every single little piece. Even the minifigure head my son broke off trying to play with it. My kids hate that they're glued together, purely on principle. I thought the ship would be even more playable glued together (Lord knows I'm regularly "repairing" accidentally disassembled sets), but they hate it.3 points

That's what I meant. Long day(s). 30% off would be $139.99. I love this set and would like about 40 of them, but I just feel $100 in the future.3 points

Hi, my name is Stud-Flipper. I bought a dozen LEGO Friends 41086 Vet Ambulances at retail and attempted to sell them all together as a 'fleet'. That was nearly 6 months ago and I've been sober ever since.3 points

When I first got into Lego reselling/collecting, I went all gung ho during my first double VIP event and ended up buying some 20 odd sets consisting of such luminaries as TB, PS, ToO, R5, VW Bus, and PC. When faced with my first Target clearance, I went crazy again and bought every Xmen Sentinel set I could get my hands on for $30. Two years later these sets are still in the red. You can even pick up the Xmen set for under RRP more than a year after retirement. Super Heroes - never again.3 points

My name is minicoopers11 and I bought some 70330 nexo knights ultimate clay sets from TJ Maxx for $5.99 each...solely because they have the "black falcon" crest. For the personal collection.3 points

Meijer 20% off coupon plus $5 reward coupon netted me a Changing Seasons for $26.99 (48% off). Stood doubting for a while as I could have picked up an AT-ST for the same price or a Deep Sea Helicopter for $22 (55% off). Son's not too much into SW (I still have a $35 FO tie waiting for him but he shrugged about it the few times I mentioned it) and I don't do SW reselling. Deep Sea Heli was tempting but would have been my only one, not interested in stocking up on more, plus bricks-wise the set is not such a good deal (only ~300 bricks).3 points

Ok, I haven't posted in a while as life as gotten a little crazy, but it saddens me to see my favourite community turn into every other forum. BP is a classy place with awesome contributors and people who really have gone out of their way to help fellow BPers, me included! For those of you who are newer and don't know about Supraboy, we are pretty sure ChristopherJB is the same person (Just a lot of silliness related to them). We have tolerated him and understand that he needs to gloat once in a... few hours. Don't pay him any attention. Ignore him like you would an Alpaca that keeps spitting at you... you're not going to punch the alpaca right? lol Let's keep this thread Canadian eh? Sorry for the long message! Anyway, just wanted to thank all of you who keep posting all the time for the sake of the rest of us as I really don't have time to troll sites like I used to. I will be spending some time scrolling back and giving "likes" to the contributors!3 points

With the risk of beating a dead horse, I think it was just an honest request to see if someone had an extra they didn't plan on buying or if someone was on the hunt and found an extra they wanted to get for him. Brickpicker is far from CL and a lot of people help each other out by posting deals. It would be silly not to buy a few before posting it here, nobody said that was a smart move... but you probably don't get that we are ok helping each other out and that's ok. You keep feeling good about yourself, no worries. I'm going to sleep great tonight myself knowing what I'd do for a fellow BPer if given the chance.... in fact, I've done lots of at cost deals over the last three years because karma and I'm like that. You're not, wonderful. I'm an IT guy with nearing 25 years in front a computer... I can't be bothered to script out deal hunters because it's not my thing. The code I write for a living would eat your scripts alive. But you don't hear me bragging about it here... oops, ok you did. Oh well, can't win em all.3 points

Has anyone mentioned the Ferris Wheel Lightning deal coming up at 11:59PST? "Up to $40 off" Odd they would say "up to". I suppose they could deal it for $199.95 instead of $199.99 and claim they didn't lie about the discount... Anyways, set those alarm clocks if you want *up to* 20% off.2 points

This is exactly why I've always felt like there should be an annual get together. How fun would it be to meet everyone else in person, throw back a few, share some war stories, and give each other some friendly crap about some of the dogs we've poured money into? This is one of the friendliest and down to earth forums I've ever participated in, which is why I've been checking in at least once per day for the last several years.2 points
