  5. We finished our winter scene... my oldest son says the green and orange snow plow doesn't belong but my youngest keeps playing with it. Wish we had some more white plates but looks good enough. First time we've ever assembled them at the same time.

  6. This is exactly why I've always felt like there should be an annual get together. How fun would it be to meet everyone else in person, throw back a few, share some war stories, and give each other some friendly crap about some of the dogs we've poured money into? This is one of the friendliest and down to earth forums I've ever participated in, which is why I've been checking in at least once per day for the last several years.

  7. I used to also think it would be good if I just take all the info / tips / what to buy / what to avoid etc from this site and post nothing back. But I just can't, I've learnt so much and feel like I need to post some stuff which might help others. Theres nothing wrong with say using a website and never replying back, but I think you gain alot more if it's a 2 way relationship. I'm very thankful for Brickpicker and don't mind posting deals / info as I know others will reciprocate. I haven't got anything against the other lego forums, but I just feel more relaxed here and prefer to get all the latest news / set info from here rather than elsewhere as like the community. The people that never post are always the first ones to complain when things go bad saying investing is dead or this site isn't what it was, yet they contribute nothing and just take take take. My 2 cents.

  16. Just noticed super girl is going for 45 dollars on eBay...lol you can buy the ps4 starter pack that comes with her for 39.99. I looked at the game (sells for 15-20 brand new) the portal (15-20 dollars) and starter characters like 10 dollars. Bought 5 from TRU right now. Seems parting out everything will give a decent return. Figured I'd share.

  18. My 4 year old son decided to do the alternate build for the Reindeer poly. This is Santa's Reindeer Plane. He told me when he opened up the poly that he was going to build a plane instead of the standard Reindeer. This was all him.

  19. With the risk of beating a dead horse, I think it was just an honest request to see if someone had an extra they didn't plan on buying or if someone was on the hunt and found an extra they wanted to get for him. Brickpicker is far from CL and a lot of people help each other out by posting deals. It would be silly not to buy a few before posting it here, nobody said that was a smart move... but you probably don't get that we are ok helping each other out and that's ok. You keep feeling good about yourself, no worries. I'm going to sleep great tonight myself knowing what I'd do for a fellow BPer if given the chance.... in fact, I've done lots of at cost deals over the last three years because karma and I'm like that. You're not, wonderful. I'm an IT guy with nearing 25 years in front a computer... I can't be bothered to script out deal hunters because it's not my thing. The code I write for a living would eat your scripts alive. But you don't hear me bragging about it here... oops, ok you did. Oh well, can't win em all.

  20. First thing I've bought this weekend (been too tired with work looking at other things too deeply but this jumped out at me as a straight-forward good deal). Just bought another Tower Bridge from Shop at Home with free Snowglobe & 11% Quidco + whatever Lego points. Decent deal that is.

  23. Well at least they put a sign up and it's not an arbitrary decision by some employee. I've searched my TRU repeatedly and yet to find the sign that says "The Assistant Manager will try her hardest not to honor our printed ads, promotions, and other discounts either digital or printed. Thank you for choosing Toys R Us".

  25. I don't follow the same strategy as you to flip for pennies on the dollar so I'm not interested in the deals you post. You're not on "posts require approval" so the mods can get their fill of your deals. That's rich dude. You're free to post or not but your math and methods have been suspect on multiple occasions. I haven't been the only one to notice either. Then your s**thead comment to another BP member about handing them $100 was uncalled for. Those are the times people should just stay quiet.

  26. yep, after referring to IT dept, my account/ password magically worked again within 24 hrs... FYI, be careful with Kmart... they seem to get their inventory from stores as well as warehouse,,,I got a set that was clearly taped up...and felt like it was almost completely empty. I'm worried about the rest of my inventory from kmart that was not inspected that carefully.

  27. Oh dear, the king of KMart has been locked out of his castle! I had similar issues. Have you tried resetting via syw.com? The cookies are different, but the accounts are the same, same password. In the end it took me 2 weeks, 4 calls to CS, 3 escalated tickets and suddenly it worked. My suspicion remains that they updated their password policy (which they did) and my old password didn't comply, which created issues.

  30. The battle packs 75131, 75133, 75134 are also on sale for $8.31 each. 75133 and 75134 are sold out at SAH. Not sure if they might have a short lifespan or not so this is a pretty good discount for anyone looking to pick them up.
