  7. Come on, at least try to sell locally at cost! It's due to this kind of abuse that retailers dislike customers buying large quantities, and they try to prevent us from doing so. They could also flag you as a "problematic" customer eventually. This is a fantastic set for Technic parts and, from my experience, we only see that kind of deal once every couple years.

  14. One of Lego's 2016 Holiday promotions is now available now, the much anticipated 40223 Snowglobe set. This available is considered "Early Access" for VIP members in the U.S. and Canada. It also appears the general public (non-US and CA Lego residents) will be able to get the Snowglobe set from Nov 25th to the 28th. 15. Hancock and Willis from Chicago and the Empire State Building from NYC are excellent models. These all surpass their standalone models significantly. I might make standalone display bases for each of these.

  16. Brickset make quite an important point for resellers (taking into account recent events e.g Darth Revin). There is no year marked on the box so it could come back at some stage. http://brickset.com/article/24655

  17. I understand that. I'm not going to order a keychain that I don't want just to get the free promo item faster. I can wait until the item I wanted is in stock to get it shipped

  18. Quick flip opportunity. Flipped a few already for £70. That along with an Indominus Rex helped to exceed the £125 min spend required for all the freebies including the Lego Retail Store.

  28. New AT-ACT reminds me of new Captain Rex's AT-TE... I dumped my old 75019 AT-TE's last January (sold FBA for about $168) when I heard about the new one coming out. Now the old 75019 is about $190 FBA (up 13% from $168). Brick Picker price guide shows a 20% increase since last January. I thought the 75157 would flat-line the old AT-TE, but Cap'n Rex's scrap-yard monster is NOT the same as the old AT-TE. For the collector (or rich kid) who wants a Hoth AT-AT, a new AT-ACT will not be acceptable.

  37. why? i prefer to order things on backorder for the promo - that way it doesn't damage the actual item you are buying and you usually get the promo even faster than normal because they send it separate so you can get in on the flip quicker. of course if you live near a store why bother.

  38. I remember when I was collecting sports card as a little kids in the early 90s then topps and upper deck decided to get greedy and started growing their sets exponentially. They lost me among that wave. I think this has a little bit of that as well though the starting point is definitely higher in terms of number.

  42. I read that the bowler hat used in this minifig hasn't been produced by LEGO since ages, and they could only scrounge up a total of 275 of those bowler hats from the Lego vaults. So they could only create a total of 275 of these Lester minifigs and hand them out through a lottery system. That's why this minifig is so limited and rare...
