Built Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! (70816) today and it goes nicely with my Galaxy Explorer (497) and Space Cruiser (487). It was great to see how Lego kept the LL numbers in relative sequence - Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! = LL929, Galaxy Explorer = LL928 and Space Cruiser = LL924. As you can see I love the Lego space series! I managed to create own MOC on the crater plate with the campfire. And yes, the antenna on the Galaxy Explorer set is intact and not broken at all!4 points

Rey's Speeder is a screaming good deal at $12.79. I've been buying them at $16 from WM and will pick up more at $12.79. It is one of those sets that the incremental profit to be gained on a larger discount (i.e., 40% or more) is not worth waiting for since they will be much harder to come by the time that level of a discount comes around (if it ever does).3 points

I like Rey's Speeder at Target for $12.79 (?), but all I got is my redcard. I don't have discount gift cards to amplify the "deals", so I'm gonna hold off today. Save my money for after Xmas clearance.3 points

Just under 400 sellers on Amazon across the two listings for this one (and that is with the Disney gate, how many more once we get it changed to LEGO?) and the rehash is coming in 2017. $20 is a sweet buy in but im still not sure on this one. Anything over 200 sellers is always a dumpster fire. 400+ and a rehash I think I am going to have to pass. Maybe at $10.2 points

I don't part out but the part out value on this set is one of the best that I've seen. Those trans window pieces sell like hotcakes.2 points

Heartlake Grand Hotel is $83.19 on Target.com. Just got one with in-store pickup (price is lower online than in store). MSRP is $129.99. For $46.80 off, I thought it was a good price as a gift for my niece. She'll be a happy girl when she sees it!2 points

This year alone, Lego had 808 different offerings, according to brickset. In 2009 for example, that number was in the 400s. Lego now produces double the output, and I think it's OVERKILL! I welcome them retiring over 600 sets, and only producing about 500 some different offerings over the next few years. There were so many sets they made recently that were unnecessary. I know that i've been writing my "wishlist for lego business practices" on multiple sites including this one, hoping that maybe some exec reads these forums, and that me harping that they need to produce about 1/3rd of the number of sets, and then produce better quality sets with a better stock of minis is maybe just maybe hitting home. The last two years have been just average in my opinion when compared to previous years. I know a lot more that agree with me. I welcome a mass retirement, and a pairing down in production, but an upscale in quality. Let's hope so.2 points
