  1. SSD 10221 popped up at AWD last week and Amazon flubbed on the price. I was able to snag it for $435. It arrived today shipped in the original box but looks to be complete. I never thought I'd own this set so this is an early Christmas gift for me

  6. On vacation in Nashville, TN. Went to check out the Lego store today. Picked up 3 ultra agents mobile hq's for $50 each. Not the best boxes but good enough. They also had a bunch of the london bus promos on the shelf for $10 each. I got one for a buddy but left the rest. They gave me a free soldier ornament and the free advent calander thing.

  7. Hey guys, I have just finished another build, which I would love to share with you all. I call this 'Jabba's PIzza Hutt' Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr For a change this is not related to any scene or landscape from the Star Wars saga but rather a bit of fun I was having with my newly acquired Jabba figure. I had quite a bit of fun with this, like the Emperor's order being number 66... Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Jabba's tail being too big for his own restaurant! Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Han in Carbonite being used a fridge in the back with Slave Leia chained up and being made to work the tills and a stormtrooper in chef's overalls in the kitchen. Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr My favourite part has to be Grandpa Darth treating his little grandson Kylo to a pizza, just look at how happy Kylo looks! Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway, this was just a bit of fun, hope you like! Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Rouge one micro landscape and a recreation of an iconic teaser poster coming soon!

  9. My wife hates these things. They end up everywhere in the house during the holidays and instead of giving them away to nieces and nephews, I sell them all. She calls it greed and I agree with her.

  11. Given that the parrot in 31031 actually poops, it's only a matter of time before the reindeer has bean bags. Gotta raise that realism bar eventually.

  15. If you go to pick up Lego at Walmart on Black Friday, you'll probably be a day late. Black Friday sales started ON Thanksgiving Day last year (about 5 PM if I recall?). When I think about going out, I just pull out my photo from last year to remind myself what a bad idea that is. Photo taken about 1 hour before the sale starts, Thanksgiving Day 2015...

  18. Yeah, no matter how dumb we think the Brick Boxes like 10697 are, they sell. I don't even bother with eBay or shipping, I sell them locally on Craigslist for $75-90 a pop. I was able to get 5 10697's last year, and 4 10664's in 2014. I'll buy whatever I can find at $30 on BF.

  20. They'll be $30 on Black Friday. I was gearing up to buy this years new XXL box from Walmart, but there is no new one this year, they are using last years. Normally that wouldn't bother me, but TRU is selling 2015's XXL Creative box for $60. depending on how long TRU keeps that set around (if it's like the creative suitcase, that means it will be around forever). Like everything else, I think the XXL glory days are over.

  22. I am not sure where to put this so moderators please move to the appropriate thread. Walmart Black Friday 2016 ads are up. The $30 Lego 1500 piece set is back. It looks like the 10697. Its on page 15/36 of the Walmart ad.

  25. Not up here they aren't. They cannot be found in pretty much any retail location in Toronto. Any that are there get bought by me and I don't see replacements show up, though I do see lots of the other new wave figures like Ersa, the robot, the new Kylo Ren, etc. Already sold 2 for twice what I paid.

  26. DCPI 204-00-1634 (although that might be generic). In which section of the store was this? Most of my Targets have ~30 in stock - will try and get one later today.

  30. 3 Raptor Escapes in the last week.... $120 CDN plus shipping. Not great, but I also recently discovered I had double what I thought I had so I need to lighten the load. That's what happens when you buy and stack things off in a corner I guess. Sales were so slow on eBay in August and September.... The last three weeks have picked up. Yay for Xmas shopping season.

  33. So about that CFLASHNOV16 coupon .... Explain this: "Discount applies to the purchase price (excluding shipping, handling, and taxes)" and this .... EDIT: Sounds like this was interpreted as "as long as your total is over $60 (including shipping, handling and taxes), you get 25% off the price minus shipping handling and taxes, with a maximum of $15". Fine for me, this way I don't have to go look for a $2 cart-stuffer

  34. ecto-1 is sold out so hopefully they don't revive it to slap a tag on it. santa's workshop is not labeled as retiring soon and is still backordered but orderable. argh. sith infiltrator, anakin's custom jedi, battledroid carrier, hailfire droid sets have the retiring soon tag.

  39. I noticed things do get in the way of the carts though, like the amount of douche you have to wade through. If you want stabbed, go for it. Folks were lining up for these things last year. I'm doing all my buying online this year, never again. A few always end up online.

  42. While everyone is bickering over how to run a fair election in the non-LEGO daily discussion thread, here's a fair deal: https://www.humblebundle.com/books/lego-book-bundle (from Brickset.com). Pay as much as you like to get LEGO ebooks. 4 books, plus another 4 if you pay at least $8, plus another 7 if you pay at least $15. Plus support a good cause. Runs for the next 2 weeks. I just got my 15 books.
