I would have thought creepy looking things would have sold better before Halloween, not after.9 points

Hi guys, here is a little MOC I put together. IMG_20161014_164521 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I had a few spare bits lying around and had recently acquired a Tauntaun so I thought I would put it to good use! DSC_1899 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr DSC_1942 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I wanted to make this as movie accurate as possible so that is why the colour palette on this build is more grey, to reflect the night time setting of the scene, rather than the traditional tan colours of Jabba's Palace. I should point out the gungan head isnt movie accurate but I put that in for a bit of fun! IMG_20161014_192613 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr However I did also build a tan version using parts from the Jabba's Palace and Mos Eisley official sets. IMG_20161009_221534 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Which do you prefer, tan or grey? Hope you enjoy and as always any feedback, advice or suggestions for new MOCs are always welcome!6 points

Let's not get more unsubstantiated rumors started with another set. There's no indication that Assembly Square will be limited in any way. All they said is that they're celebrating the 10th anniversary of modulars by making this larger set. Nothing about the packaging or anything else indicates a short production run.4 points

Hi everyone, This is my first post so I apologies if I don't quite get the format right. I started collection SW Figures in June this year and am getting pretty obsessed. I am currently on around 396 mini-figures which felt pretty fast, but now will now take the rest of my life to complete. Having started collecting to display them (and use the spares for my nephews) I have created a set of labels to suit a 2 x 4 flat tile so I can see the figure no, name, year etc. I haven't yet put the display up (having not created them!), but was wondering if anyone else was interested in a set or has seen something similar? I am thinking of doing a small production run of the labels soon, after adding the Rogue One/latest 2016 figures. Any comments would be welcome. Thanks,3 points

Does it matter? I'm pretty sure I will be able to get one at retail for the next 2-3 years...3 points

BAM has some Lego sets on sale in store for 20%. As usual, appears fairly random. Mostly sets from 2014. I finally made good use of my membership. Bought a Villa Savoye Sleeping beauty 41060 Batman Jr. 10724 And a Reese peanut butter cup for $76.66 Had a $10 gift card for signing up.3 points

Not in Tabby's league but he's my first boot load of 4 trips to Tesco. Plenty of volcano sets on the next load, plus 3 of each ideas set, advent calenders, and a few SW sets. Tesco you have officially broke me.2 points

Just for the naysayers, there were TONS of little kids dressed up like Ghostbusters and Stay Puft last night. This might be horded, but it is also based on some VERY, VERY popular IP.2 points

I dunno I think if they were going Walmart/Target/Amzn would have been selling them at $100-$150 by now and there is no "retiring soon" tag on shop at home anywhere. I am not biting until we get a major discount on them.2 points

Sandcrawler is still $236.76 (21% off) at Walmart.com. I didn't see it mentioned that it was discounted there, only Amazon. https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Star-Wars-Sandcrawler-Play-Set/349766592 points

Not a deal but yellow submarine is available at LEGO Shop at Home. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Yellow-Submarine-213062 points

That's one of the reasons why I'm not touching the Fairground Mixer. The other is that it sells slower than SOH, has low margins, and was likely produced in larger quantities. Money is better spent on other sets at the moment, especially when there's a limit of 1.2 points

You guys talk about undercutters and quick-flippers like they are costing you money here, but if you want to play the QFLL game you're going to have to deal with it. There are plenty of resellers who buy on credit and have to turn this stuff around before their credit card bills come due even if it means selling for chump change. I see the same complaints about new sets all the time, even in the Disney Castle thread. You can't expect everyone to hold the line at the same price so that you can make a decent return. Some of these quick flips work out and some don't, but don't blame other sellers who are trying to cash in just like you are.2 points

Hi guys, here is my latest MOC. Its a recreation of the final scenes of Revenge of the Sith - one of the most iconic images from the Prequels I would say! Hope you enjoy.2 points

I know they are free and others mentioned this but they really look like my kids designed these from the mini figure bucket in the Lego store and forgot the accessories. I will still at least try to get the Warriors pack as my daughter tests for her black belt in taekwondo do in December and I can take the black belt torso and make it look like her2 points

I guess the webmaster is on holiday tomorrow so they put it online a day early. Nice to get double VIP for those that missed the Tesco offer.1 point

This is the true. The business aspect for resellers in this field is changing. Going from no discount on exclusives being lifted to remakes to now Lego discounting themselves on relatively new products. I have been saying this for a while, selling sealed sets at the right time is just as important as buying in at the right time. You just never know when a rehash is going to happen.1 point
