Today I had the find of my life. I got the 10182 cafe corner at a antique mall for 249.99. It was still sealed.14 points

I thought i'd post a few pictures of UN-mounting my 10179 just for fun! We're moving in a few months, and i decided to tackle this as early as possible in case something went terribly wrong and i'd need to rebuild it.... This was quite the stressful event as taking it off was harder than putting it on. In the end it all went without a hitch though. I did need my SO to help out at times, but it came down with only a couple pieces falling off! Testament i think to how well i built the mount and re-enforced the build. Some of the elastic bands i used to support the weak underside have deteriorated, so those will need to be replaced. Also included a few pictures of the mount sans Falcon for anyone curious in how i made it. I look forward to re-mounting this in our new place Enjoy! Step 1: Remove the turret circle plate thing and reveal the main mounting area as well as unplug the power cord into the LED lights. You can see the IR receiver inside. Step 2: Locate all technic pins that connect from the mount to the falcon frame and "unplug" them. Step 3: Push away from wall and level out the falcon so gravity holds it on the frame. The wall mount was bending/flexing under the weight so far away from the wall, this creeped me out. Step 4: Remove all technic beams connecting frame and falcon and lift off of it's last line of support (LEGO stud connections). Step 5: Lift off very carefully with some help and your're all done! She's safe and soundly back on the ground And here's a shot of the mounting mechanism. The falcon sits right in the center and connects with the studs. From there the technic arms line up with the Falcon's frame and the technic pins slide in to hold it on the frame. The technic pieces are screwed onto the L brackets, and many technic supports are used to keep it all firmly together as 1 big piece.14 points

OK, I'm not sure what I'm unleashing here. Be gentle, I don't want KMart shutting this down anytime soon, or take coupons away. KMart.com is running an extra 5% off most toys. Some sets are already on sale and the additional 5% is taken off the sale price. Some newer sets are also included, like the new Batman sets I've been waiting to get a deal on. When I refer to coupons, they can be your own or the coupons found here and can be used for many combos, including point usage, but they will negate most surprise points. http://shc.cpn2c.co/RecomService/web/bE3R Some examples: 60051 - City: High-Speed Passenger Train - $93.93 after $10 off $75 coupon 75151 - Star Wars: Clone Turbo Tank - $79.22 after $10 off $75 coupon 75141 - Star Wars: Resistance X-Wing Fighter - $63.11 after $5 off coupon or add an item to go above $75 to use the $10 off coupon 76051 - SH: Airport Battle - $57.57 after $5 off coupon or add an item to go above $75 to use the $10 off coupon 76055 - SH: Killer Croc Sewer Smash - $57.57 after $5 off coupon or add an item to go above $75 to use the $10 off coupon 31051 - Creator: Lighthouse Point - $37.73 after $5 off $35 coupon 76054 - SH: Scarecrow Harvest of Fear - $41.93 after $5 off $35 coupon 60102 - City: Aiport VIP Service - $32.99 after $5 off $35 coupon 60123 - City: Volcano Supply Helicopter - $32.06 after $5 off $35 coupon 76059 - SH: Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap - $31.27 60134 - City: Fun In The Park - $30.39 75137 - Star Wars: Carbon Freezing Chamber - $19.55 buy 2 and use $5 off $35 or add for a combo above $75 60101 - City: Aiport Cargo Plane - $18.99 buy 2 and use $5 off $35 or add for a combo above $75 60118 - City: Garbage Truck - $13.67 buy 3 and use $5 off $35 or add for a combo above $757 points

I don't think you need to argue until you're blue in the face but I think you'll need to accept the return and refund the buyer though.7 points

You would think, living in San Diego and a new LEGO Store opening this weekend, that's where I would be. But no. A buddy of mine went and went this pic: He said they waited two hours to get to that point and it was going to be at least another two to get in. As much as u wanted to do that, I couldn't. My 8 year old had been invited to a birthday trip to The American Girl Doll store in Los Angeles. My wife his a huge fan so she wanted to go to. So we all drove up there together. My 4 year old and I took the opportunity to hit up the large B&N there (yes there were some sale sets there - I stress were because they came home with us). We hit the TRU event and played at a park nearby. We ran out of time to hit the La Brea Tar Pits, though. After we picked up the girls, we took a drive through Beverly Hills for fun. The houses are incredible. And we drove down Rodeo Drive. Some of the cars and houses are ridiculous. Including this one:5 points

Wow, Walmart is really having a rollback day - Buckingham Palace at $37.49. Now maybe they'll do LEGO Technic Volvo EW160E and we can dream on the Porsche! https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Architecture-Buckingham-Palace-21029/517208364 points

nothing is ever retiring again so go ahead and buy as much as you want. i'm already wiped out from your kmart post. now comes the praying for shipping boxes instead of bags.3 points

Well, if that happens, it won't really effect me much, because I don't invest in many exclusives. There's nothing out there that I have much stock of other than 1 set for the personal collection. But, the precedence would be set this year, if that happens. And that would definitely change the game for many.3 points

Isn't this the Ecto-1 thread? Instead we're posting about beanie babies (STILL?!?). This information/argument has been worn out in at least 3 other threads by the same person. Thanks for your opinion. Now contribute something new or just stop. Also, stop reposting him. I have him blocked, but still have to see it in your reposts. Thanks team!2 points

What if no exclusives retire this year? What if TLG is going to build up its exclusive catalog and do smaller production runs as needed? Counting on TLG to never change course is a recipe for disaster.2 points

Amazon matching Walmart on Buckingham Palace... not matching Capitol Building yet, but maybe soon? https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Architecture-Buckingham-Palace-Building/dp/B01CVGV5JA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1474161535&sr=8-3&keywords=lego+capitol+building2 points

A little rollback on the Xerion also. Not a bad price! Those two deals helped me get a little jump start on Christmas gifts! https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Technic-CLAAS-XERION-5000-TRAC-VC/517209002 points

If LEGO wanted to impress me, I'd like a midi-scale SSD. THAT would be a great combo pack. It's too bad the DS and SSD were so far different in size. To come close to scale, the SSD would be barely a polybag. Speaking of DS and SSD... Cue this video.... can't wait to see a remake with 75159. PS I wonder if those 200 pieces fixed those structural problems?2 points

Yeah, I've been working them hard over the past couple of days. I'm really bummed that using GCs are affecting your points back as-if they were points though. That's killing an extra 7%. My routine is to buy trash bags and colored pencils to get 100% back ($25 back in office/school supplies). I pay out of pocket there to rack out some points, then make a purchase later using those points and GC for any balance.1 point

same here. soccer yesterday. i ended up visiting ebay yesterday to pick-up 2 sets for avg $12 each shipped. 1 for each of my kids. hope the sticker doesn't get ruined during shipping. prices seemed to range between $9 and $20ish with shipping when i checked.1 point

Built some Jurassic World stuff today. The dinosaurs I be kept sealed as I intend to sell them in the future. I didn't apply most of the stickers because I don't have any plans for a Jurassic World display. T-Rex Tracker: Raptor Rampage: I just finished modifying the proportions of the RR vehicle a little bit for a possible reuse in a city setting in the future:1 point

here is the last of the birthday party stuff that I am going to post. I wasn't sure how much use this was going to get, but those kids played with the car ramp for almost the entire time. I was going to make one out of plywood, but didnt want to invest the time for some thing that was going to get used for a few minutes. All I ended up using was a long piece of cardboard, some foam insulation tape for the edges, paint for the finish line and some other boxes to prop it up. It was totally worth it. My kids are still using it two days later. Had some lego prizes for thr winning cars and everyone had a blast!1 point
