I can't fathom a world where Walmart could effectively run a promo like this.6 points

Yeah, I posted that a few weeks ago. $750 on TRU. I figured it was coming from the individual retailers. It's become less worth buying online lately anyway. TRU boxes have been getting banged up during shipping and Target just sends you other people's returns -- many times opened returns. Anyone else notice Legoland raised all their prices by 10% too? This game ain't what it used to be.4 points

It's a tough time to be a new entrant in the game right now. At this point there are a lot of unknowns in the LEGO secondary/reselling market which make it difficult to predict what is the most lucrative path forward. It may very well be that the most lucrative option is to not sink lots of money into LEGO over the next 6 to 12 months. If I had to choose between your two options though, I'd say go with buying and selling new sets from retail stores. There has been some success recently for newbies in parting out new sets, quick flips, and reselling clearance pick-ups. The bulk-lot, used set flipping business is hard work for typically low margins. With the proliferation of counterfeit parts, sets, and minifigures, it's only going to get harder.4 points

Hi guys, so I had a few spare parts left over from my Hoth Micro Moc so decided to put them to good use!Hope you like!3 points

For the big classic boxes of bricks it's Walmart Target tends to select 3-4 specific sets and move them on a pallet or end cap at a really nice price. Last year I picked up both deals online and didn't fight the masses.3 points

If you're hoarding points then that is just money doing nothing, that could be put to use making more money. You don't get anything extra out of spending them at a later date.3 points

Here's my story. I sold 327 LEGO items on amazon, all FBM, between Jan- end of June this year when I decided to take a break from selling for the rest of the summer (both to enjoy the summer and also let prices continue to rise on the sets I have). I have been selling on amazon since 2013 though volumes in 2013 were less than 100. 2014 I sold 487 items. 2015 786. Rather than switching my listings inactive to take a break, I instead opted to increase my prices to a point where nothing sells. I had a pro account for the first half of the year and then downgraded at the end of June. haven't sold anything since June 27. What do you mean you aren't paying $499 for a grand emporium (yet)? All my listings are active. I can add sets I have never sold including 75916 . Since these events have unfolded, I have gone through and made sure to list ALL the sets I have in my possession that I intend to sell on amazon one day - even ones that haven't retired yet. Pet Shop. Palace Cinema. TB. EV, Irex and all JW sets. Of course, I have an untenable price beyond what any sensible person would pay now, but I wanted to make sure that I had my foot in the door. I am thinking about listing sets that I haven't even begun stocking yet with unrealistic sales prices to discourage any actual sales but to make sure I have a presence in the listing.3 points

Here's something different, a little (very little) break from all those apocalyptic threads going on right now, found it at local Walmart today, not sure if it applies to all walmarts or just some or only this one. Don't know what the free gift is either since employee had no clue of course and I didn't have time to look for somebody who would know.3 points

At this time, I am just letting everyone that the Brickwatcher feature is disabled. It will be launched again and even better when the site relaunch goes live in a few weeks. With all the updates to the Lego Shop@Home and other sites, most of it needed to be redone again.2 points

Between you and pseudoty we have an entire hand [emoji1303] Sorry to hear about the box condition. All of the retailers seem to be using poor packing methods now. My final duel from AMZ had major shelf wear, FBA stickers and an Amazon warehouse deals inspected label. Good times.2 points

I hope it's true we get a 250 ship. I will not expect to much after the death star fiasco but I still hold hope for a good ship.2 points

Just look here: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=10226-1 It's more or less stagnant. There's hardly any interest in this set and it's priced around RRP here in Europe. Only in the US it did a bit better post EOL, but there it's not climbing either and the used value is declining.2 points

Good god no, what are you thinking, we'll never sell them then. Actually, we'll never sell them anyway, have at it.2 points

Just chiming in on my own findings. I'm not a big player, but I've previously sold LEGO on Amazon. My last sale was in May. It looks like all of my existing inventory listings can still be sold (about 100 or so, with probably 30 or more being individual minifigures or poly bags). I can't create any new listings on items that are "by LEGO", but I can against "by LEGO Movie" or "by LEGO Galaxy Squad". I assume I have been restricted from selling based on the "by LEGO" designation, and LEGO Movie and LEGO Galaxy Squad are currently oversights that may be "corrected" soon.2 points

They have what 4 or 5 factories now? Are you trying to tell me that one of these factories can't shift what ever it has on its production schedule for the next month or two and crank this set out? If it's really the best selling initial launch of all time, don't you want it to be IN-STOCK during the busiest shopping and gift giving period of the year? I'd hate to have a shortage of Nexo Knights or whatever other sets that are destined to become Walmart's Feburary clearance fodder.2 points

This 1000x. I also hate the one page website trend where you have to scroll down - or excuse me, swipe down - to get the entire thing. I'm nervous about what will happen when the number of people adding it to their wishlist reaches a certain threshold. What if 10000 people put it on their wishlist? What about 50000?2 points

They will link that button to their banned users list shortly in the next update with a message "contact any of these folks".2 points

Don´t like it Too laggy and I can´t see all items on one page like before (handy for seeing what goes out of stock). Plus they seem to have designed it to be smartphone friendly - ie. normal size computer screen unfriendly. I wish companies would set up phone and PC separate sites....2 points
