Not sure if anyone ever posted photos of this or not. It traveled from Legoland Florida to the 40th Anniversary of the Mustang Club of America Event in Indianapolis this weekend. Event is at the 500 Motor Speedway. Hundreds of Mustangs from all over! There is a contest to give # of bricks used to build the Mustang. Wow!! It is awesome!! Enjoy!8 points

Lots of people, smart people, they're saying . . . all the time they tell me, the Death Star, it's gonna be great. It's going to be so great. I get tweets from these people saying, let's make the Death Star great again.7 points

Enjoyed making a fairy garden with my son, for him and his sister. Like Lego, I love the detail of these little miniature world sets. More to add over the next few weekends, but plenty of fun to be had in the mean time.6 points

He totally missed the point ... If there was no 10188, this set is totally fine!! The reason why this is not good for all Lego fans is because of 10188. It's out for 8 years and effectively retired basically about 1/2 a year ... While they were planning 75159, 10188 is still in production!! We do not want to encourage Lego to keep releasing the same Lego set for over and over again because we do know that Lego is capable for creating new and beautiful set. That's why we hate it so much to see this re-release. The more positive people are towards this and the AOH sets, the less they will come up with truly amazing sets in the Star Wars line. I think he really miss what people are ultimately mad about!6 points

Is that increase of resealers you speak of really a widespread phenomenon. Personally, I didn't come across any resealed sets yet.5 points

I just logged in and saw Walmart has AoH on sale. For whatever reason, I decided to check it out even though I have no intention of buying that rubbish at the sale price. While I was there I guess I was feeling a little masochistic and decided to read the reviews. This was my favorite so far5 points

By defending this set, Jang lost some credibility of his previous reviews, even the good ones...5 points

Lol I was thinking the same thing. It's like he's trying to come up with any excuse possible to defend Lego.4 points

Jang should stay away from math. How did the original one land at $400'since it has 22 real figures? By his math, the old death star was roughly 0.87 per brick. That translates to a real 14% increase in price, not 4.4%. You can spin this anyway you want... Lego has left lots of room to go either way with this set.4 points

Only because you asked, just my opinions, I have no secrets to share: Tower Bridge probably not going anywhere even if it does, it's very old, many have been accumulated. Pet Shop probably going this year (hopefully) but again, many have been accumulated, so have patience. I have more than I care to but I got time. Sydney Opera House would be a good gamble as it's not as old as TB and sometimes more expensive scares off people. Ewok Village should go this year but it's Star Wars, a little obvious a choice. Palace Cinema, if it went this year, it would be ahead of trend, so that would be great but don't count on any favors from TLG. Sandcrawler should go this year and more expensive than EV, so again (as stated above), Star Wars (obvious) but expensive to some. Santas Workshop should go this year but way too many in hands. This is a waste of funds to me. Yes, I have wasted money here. Fairground Mixer a gamble as it doesn't seem to sell and maybe done but it'll be awhile before we know as not enough move at retail. Parisian Restaurant bigger gamble than PC as it's way earlier than trend. Simpsons House sells better than Kwik-E (last I checked) and older but both should go at the same time. Still a risk to me. That's all. Good luck.3 points

Here's a perfect example: If you look at 2008 2+2=4 but because of inflation and Pluto no longer being a planet we get 6-2=4 (different number as you can see) Now to adjust this to 2016 we need to flip a coin at a 32 degree angle and if it lands on potato we need to then times that by 6. Thus we see why Lego was forced to charge the extra 100 dollars. This math makes perfect sense to me...can't speak for the rest of you but i agree now after doing the math. You can also times Han's hairpiece by the width of the cheese slope..solve for Y and you can clearly see Lego is not lazy..... #IDefendLego3 points

I stopped reading Jang's review after the point about inflation. Give me a break. Generally speaking, imported manufactured goods decrease in price over time, even in nominal dollars. Look at computers, tennis shoes, boomboxes... Anything but cars, really (the ever-increasing government mandates -- mandatory 15 airbags and rearview cameras, for example -- and potential for massive class-action suits probably accounts for the difference there). What drives our inflation rate is three categories: housing, higher education, and medical care (i.e. the three items most heavily subsidized by the government). Which of those categories includes Lego? Hint: It's a trick question.3 points

With only $300-500 to invest, going with a large exclusive is a bad idea imo. something goes wrong with the sale, you are down for the count. also if you are new you want to build up your feedback. multiple smaller sales will do that more effectively than a large exclusive. With that amount I would target $20-40 sets on discount. Personally, I would target the Tie Advanced Prototype which should be EOL by the end of the year and based on other Rebels sets, should yield decent return within a year of EOL. Also if you are new to the game, you should know that amazon has in the last week put a gate in place to effectively limit new small time sellers from getting into that market. Amazon is the strongest market place for retired LEGO sets, so that is something to consider as well. Buying is the easy part. Selling is the difficult and sometimes not so fun part when you realize you are packing boxes and mailing them for the thrill of it unless packaging boxes and printing labels is your regular hobby.2 points

At least they fixed that exhaust port right? I mean those 200 extra bricks are for some kind of cover for it...2 points

Was waiting with planned purchases for the London Bus promo coming to Europe. Now I already have 3 sets I want to have that qualify for the promo. 10252 VW Beetle, 21307 Caterham Seven 620R, and 75153 Star Wars AT-ST Walker. Just have to add one Series 16 minifig to the AT-ST to pass the €55 minimum purchase limit.2 points

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but what other way of selling any Lego set in the secondary market is there? Besides the 3 ways that you mentioned?2 points

I was at a Lego store yesterday, and they had plenty in stock, also they returned to SAH. I think I will gamble & wait until Oct for x2 VIP & holiday promo I missed some of the discounted ones recently, so that gives me hope knowing that I could find a good discount before Oct. If not I will keep the hope that they will still have them in the stores for the Oct. promos, and if they don't oh well I guess I will just miss the bus on this one...2 points

Edit - Forest Maiden has the same hairpiece as leia.. http://brickset.com/sets/71000-15/Forest-Maiden Most of the mini's in this set are exclusive, but a lot of the parts are not. The reddish brown tubes are the only piece exclusive to the set, but you can get grey ones to substitute and spray paint them brown I think this set will be very easy to bricklink, but the minis will make it highly exclusive. Personally, I think this set is a gem, and I plan on adding at least one more. I bought one for my kids college fund and was planning on storing it in the box, but we decided to crack it open. Overall a beautiful set. We bought two green plates and placed it under the set, then added Ewok Attack, and a bunch of other green pieces to it to build the set out a bit, and it's one of the coolest display sets we have.2 points
