  1. A new collaborative project by Grant Davis and Jason Allemann brings what I think is one of the most original Lego Ideas idea yet. I saw this and have voted immediately. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151695 Superb........ Over 2,000 supporters and it's been up for less than one week.

  2. Toys r us has all Lego Star Wars 20% off. And Indominous Rex down to 114 with B1G1 40% still in play. With cards and rewards could get for 50% off. Debating now but already have plenty. And I am banned.

  4. I had the pleasure of visiting Brick by Brick, a new LEGO exhibit by Adam Reed Tucker (The artist who started the LEGO Architecture series). Adam is most famous for his architectural models of Skyscrapers, so this show is a bit different as it covers a wider range of themes including Architecture, Engineering, History, Disney, and Rollercoasters. There is something for everyone at this show! I visited the exhibit at MSI Chicago in June, while attending Brickworld Chicago 2016.I wanted to share a few highlights from the show to highlight the diversity of the exhibit...Golden Gate Bridge, 1937, San Francisco, CAThe most striking model in the show is the massive model of the Golden Gate bridge that greets you right as you enter the exhibit. It's large scale lets you really see the details, including the visible studs which Adam intentionally included as they represent the thousands of rivets that hold the bridge together.Cinderella’s Castle, 1971, Disney World, FL.Adam built an amazing model of Cinderella's Castle, based on the design at Disneyworld. This was built well before the recent unveiling of a 4,000 exclusive LEGO set based on the same building.Fallingwater, 1935, Mill Run, PA, by architect Frank Lloyd Wright.I loved seeing his large-scale model of Fallingwater in person. He built the model while working on the official Fallingwater LEGO set, and this large model was featured in my book The LEGO Architect. He chose to use basic elements to focus on the basic form over the ornamentation or landscaping.American Eagle rollercoaster, 1981, Six Flags Great Adventure., NJ.There's so much more to see, including a rollercoaster, three skyscrapers (including one depicted under construction), and several interactive exhibits. The show is highly recommended if you are visiting Chicago between now and February 2017.Sincerely,---tomP.S. For even more photos and thoughts about the exhibit, I prepared a blog post at: brickarchitect.com

  8. I have an embarrassing confession to make... I found it in a store for $200 and ended up buying it... I never got any of the previous Hoth sets so this was my only way of getting the Snowspeeder/Wampa/Tauntauns... I feel like such a disappointment...

Have yet to find anything in the site registration or other source that raises a big red flag. but how does a drop shipper offer a generic 20% off code? on second thought jet just made 3 billion doing that... also note that paypal account matches new-sealed (aka niko): Merchant Metamorfu LLC [email protected]

  16. Well they found them, water soaked and smashed from the rain. So now I get to go through the hassle of returning them. The driver lied to FedEx the first time, then came clean. That is great. Fight Walmart to get my expedited shipping fees back as well.

  20. I LOVE THIS IDEA! This is why the Ideas theme is one of the best ever. Just a clever design with so many options. It can be a whole theme to itself. Different sets equals different books. You could have shelves of these books. Wonderful.

  21. I think the term Death Star is politically incorrect for kids and should be banned. "Confidential SW Direct 2" sounds more impressive anyway.

  26. my TRU order that got all messed up from Tuesday. They made it up to me today.(Only took half an hour on the phone. But I am actually very happy. They gave me an additional 15% off for their mess up. I bought this with the $50 GCs I got for $40 on EBay. So total for all this by my math is $64ish. I think. (I gave $80 for the 2 GCs and I have $15.99 left on one of them)

  30. Double Ghost resurrection this week (Amz + WM)! Found one at my local WM in with Resistance X-Wings. About perfect box except two bits of gift wrap tape left on back. Never liked that method of wrapping (don't stick tape to my freaking present). Gift return from the past... :-) Academic, but seals on this one 41R5, Amz was 04R5. (Edited)

  33. There are always creative ways to have your voice heard through reviews. You might have to give it 4 or 5 stars so it doesn't get deleted, but if someone is reading, you can get your point across. I had a miserable experience last year on buycostumes.com and had to vent:

  35. The USPS maximum weight for First-Class Parcel Package was quietly reduced back down to 13 ounces on August 28th. Although eBay knew about the 1-3 oz. increase from $2.45 to $2.60, they apparently don't know about this change at the other end, because the shipping labels service still allows you to select First-Class for packages weighing between 13+ to 15.99 ounces. Stamps.com also has a table of first-class rates for 2016 that includes 14, 15, and 15.99 ounces This is a shame, because that $3.45 to the minimum priority mail postage can really be a killer on profit margin for small sets or when you split sets.

  38. @Deadfraggle, this is just a "lost in translation" situation, I'm sure Legojona meant well. Here in Europe Bricklink is usually much less expensive than Ebay and we do not have ebay bucks and other fancy things you have in US to bring Ebay prices down. Shipping is also somewhat cheaper (although that quite depends on the country you ship it to...)

  39. Don't worry, the plug will not be pulled. This product just got another year of life extension from the rampant purchases in the last two weeks. All the big retailers scrambled to put in another huge purchase order to Lego.
