Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds.The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece.The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band.The turret on the right side is hinged and hidden inside is a bluetooth speaker that plays 'Jabba Flow' when its turned on.I have included the room where Rey finds Luke's lightsaber. To access the room there is a vertical sliding door and the roof piece lifts off too.To populate the Castle I have mixed and matched a few of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, some of which are not exactly movie accurate but fun anyway, such as Hera and Sabine from 'Rebels' recruiting new members to join their crew. Greedo in the back hoping to capture another bounty and lando enjoying a drink with Figrin D'an. As for the new characters I have custom made the Crimson Corsair and GA97 (although thats really just 21B with a new paint job!)Bazine Netal...And Maz's band (including the fender guitar Sudswater Dillifay Glon is playing)Finally I added some more plants and water as a bit of detailing.Overall I have tried to include as many elements from the film as possible whilst keeping some fun elements within the MOC. I have also used a mix of bricks and colours as I was trying to give the impression that the castle is very old and has been patched up over hundreds of years...hope that comes across and it doesnt just look messy?!Like I say this was my first ever MOC however now I have well and truly got the building bug it wont be the last! Hey guys, so I really enjoyed making my first micro landscape MOC (Jakku) so I decided to make a really iconic scene from the original trilogy and decided to make a Battle of Hoth MOC on a 16x16 plate.I tried to get all the iconic parts from the film into the MOC. Inspiration from a few various sources and a few twists of my own!The one thing I am aware of is that the snow speeder is completely out of proportion with the scene however I tried to make smaller models and they just didnt look right. Therefore I have tried to give the illusion that the speeder is flying high up above the battle.Im really pleased with how this MOC has turned out and would be great to hear any feedback or advice you guys might have.ps if anyone wants instructions for any of the elements I am more than happy to send across what I have.

Ed's not an undercover Lego agent. For one thing, he advocates buying to resell, and Lego corporate policy declares that to be a capital offense. For another, he is concerned about counterfeiting, which Lego thinks is A-OK. I also think he's just not that sort of guy. On a related note, I do have my doubts about some of the big review sites. Those guys remind me of stock "analysts", whose rating scale ranges from "Accumulate" to "Strong Buy!"

To be honest, we do make money from affiliates, so there are times we push a few sets. It pays for the site. Otherwise, people would have to pay to keep the site operational.. We try to be fair on recommendations. I will not pitch the new 75159 or Assault on Hoth or any other crap set. I have standards.

Folks. The owners of this site have repeatedly said that they just put the information out there and you can do with it as you please. You control your pocketbook and your actions so blaming the admins of this site won't get you much in the way of empathy from the regulars on here. You can follow the horde but I don't think that will get you very far in this game. Make a plan and stick with it. If your plan was to stockpile Sandcrawlers, then the information was put out that it just might be the next one to go so go ahead and buy your allotment. It's as simple as that. You'll drive yourself crazy and broke if retirement rumors dictate your investment strategy.

Yep...You figured it out. I am a LEGO shill. If a person needs to "clear anything out" then let me suggest moving onto another type of investment or speculation as some would call it. This site was developed around the idea of long term holding of sets and if you are a few months off either way, what does it matter? If a person is investing cash they need to support themselves in LEGO sets and "expect" a certain return in a certain time period to meet their needs, well I'm sorry to tell you that many will be disappointed. I would say there's a better than 50/50 chance this set disappears from retailer shelves before the end of the year, but as I keep telling people, LEGO adapts. I have been saying this for well over a year. Invest at your own risk. Don't spend money on sets that you can't afford lose or need to live on. One last thing...it's great that members share what they heard from LEGO employees, but who is right and who is wrong? There have been conflicting reports about this set (...and every set discussed on this site) from various LEGO reps. One says it's a goner....another it's coming back...another has no clue. My money is on the person with no clue.

This site #'s or my calculations don't account for taxes, shipping, excessive tape use, packing peanuts, excess shipping weight from boogers, shipping to La La Land, Santa's Sleigh discounts or anything else. There is one constant data point...What a set is worth after a period of time from MSRP. To me, if a set is worth 50% more in less than a year...it is a winner.

I've never had any problem with goods damaged on arrival at Amazon, nor arrival at buyers home. I've had a half-dozen items lost or damaged while in warehouse at Amazon, and I believe in most cases, got NO proactive report or payment from Amazon. Usually going over my books, I would discover, "hey... I sent in 6 of those... they sold 2... now I have only 3?" I'd have to discover the problem, initiate the claim, and only then would get reimbursed... sometimes at a fair rate... sometimes a little less than fair (but whadaya gonna do?). So you definitely have to check and recheck your inventory at Amazon, keep track of what's sold, and what they should have... stay on top of things. Do not ship in items before they reach the sell price you can accept. I usually find that when I see an FBA price point I like, I send my items in, and 3 more sellers move in at the same time, and the price drops 5%. As the holiday season approaches, more sellers will be moving merch into Amazon and you can expect more competition on some items. I use Amazon principally for current or "just retired" sets. My Haunted Houses, Town Halls, etc, I sell on eBay (and Brickclassifieds).

Hey everyone, here is the first micro landscape I did. Its a very simple little MOC, only 16x16 and its actually based on the loading screens from Lego: The Force Awakens on the PS4 (for those of you who have played it you might recognise it?)I really enjoyed making this little model and I am quite tempted to do similar scenes for all the famous locations of the entire sage (any suggestions welcome!)Anyway as always be great to know your thoughts!

My advice if you are grandfathered in is to make sure to follow all rules and regs, take no shortcuts, and bend over for every customer. Your lego approved selling account is now extremely valuable and has the potential to make you serious coin.

It seems I bought one of the last available DR. Who's, then Likely to come back in stock though. I don't particularly like the prospects of the 75105 Millennium Falcon either. It is one of those iconic pieces that will be rehashed multiple times. I did get myself many of 75102 Poe's X-wings though, but that is most likely because I cannot stop buying things that are Orange (as a Dutch guy )

Asda Direct have a 75105 Falcon and Kylo Ren’s Shuttle combo for £135. 40% discount on these and I’m all over them. I was flipping Falcons at £150 in Jan with the post holiday shortage.

If they don't say every set is awesome how do you expect them to get freebies from Lego when they launch massive campaigns like the Scooby-doo giant mystery box. The only reviews I watch on youtube is Jang's and he actually goes out an buy them from TRU for review.

Maybe you read that question differently than I did, but with FBA you definitely pay to ship your items in AND fees when the item ships. You don't pay for postage when it sells, but you pay for FBA Order Handling Fee FBA Pick & Pack Fee FBA Weight Handling Fee Referral Fee on Item Price There are calculators that help you decide if its better to ship FBM or FBA.

I love this forum. Very schizophrenic group of herd followers, one way or the other. Due diligence, manage risk, make your choices and move on. A few grand isn't the end of the world, stock always dances around. Invest wisely, no one knows what Lego is doing but Lego, all else is speculation.
