Tried to like this more than once, but the site would not let me.

I finished out everything I needed for this set today. Got a complete set, plus three extra Mariachis and two extra Penguins. And an extra kick boxer and hiker so I could make a woman hiker for my friend that's about to hit the Pacific Coast Trail for a month.

I like the new manager; )

Can't wait to finish building this set. Great build so far.

I noticed they've been knocking $1 off each day. I'll wait another week before buying more.

I found these bad boys today, along with new Ninjago and Friends, including Amusement Park Rollercoaster and Performance School. No coupons this week.

I hope the price point is true. I would really like to see some larger and more detailed sets in the future (e.g. UCS AT-AT) so if this price point works that may become a possibility.

Pretty reliable source from another forum stated the price will be $499.99. I'm a little skeptical as Lego has not released a $500 set since the UCS Falcon, but we are in a different environment today compared to 2007. If this rumor is true, it would seem to be semi-good news for 10188 owners as it would set a nice stable floor for it.

Bought 76058 Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team Up. Couldn't resist. Other than the 10% TRU Thursday action, no other discount. Doesn't matter. Just wanted to get this set. Also finished out my Series 16 wants. I have one complete set that I got last week, but then wanted to pick up three extra Mariachis and two more Penguin Suit Guys.

I saw them at my local TRU as well. Also the store had a side display of the Olaf polybags that Target had around Easter and LEGO store is giving away next month. I picked one up and it scanned "Do not sell until Aug 1st" at the register. Cashier called over to the manager and he said sell it. I said about the Superhero sets probably being the same way to the cashier. She just said something along the lines of "the new manager doesn't seem to care. The old one never would have allowed it."

How would you know if they had watched the SW movies at all ??? Surely their time is better used admiring their private art collections while eating caviar...

The 2015 hoard was sure it was going last year and stockpiled Palace Cinema heavily. Already approaching Pet Shop numbers. Glad I did not roll my Grand Emporiums and Town Halls into the current modulars.

UK market is very different to US when it comes to exclusives. In US they are available in multiple places including amazon / TRU and it seems normal to buy exclusives at 30% off. In UK only places that sell exclusives are Lego / TRU / Smyths. Only chance to buy at discount is Smyths 20% sale or double VIP. TRU do not put exclusives on sale so you have to use giftcards to get discount ot special promotions which are very rare. I personally stay away from exclusives as I find it much easier to sell smaller sets, I need to sell more of them to make same amount compared to an exclusive however it is very easy to pickup small sets at discount, plus easier to store / ship.

I'm sure a lesson on how to find >15% discount on exclusives would not fall on deaf ears, nor be out of place in the uk/euro deals thread

Last years clearance events were telling too. I think it's evident, at least to me, that most of the Force Awakens sets are going off into the sunset. They already clearanced the FO transporters, and now they have clearance on a lot of the others from the first wave. I'd be shocked if all of those are around into next year. The only set, I think I haven't heard on clearance is Rey's speederbike.

I never got the 10188. I own a 10143 and it's my favorite set of my collection. If TLG makes another playset with 0 display style, I will gladly wait another 8 years for another. I only have so much space for sets and I don't like playsets. Just my opinion.
