  1. Finally finished my inventory build of 10212. Only had to substitute 4 pieces and I have to buy a few more to finish the landing gear.

  2. The recent talk of finding, building, selling, and trading pirate ships encouraged me to pull out a few ships from storage and build them again (please excuse the poor lighting in this photo).

  4. Decided to crack open the never retiring Pet Shop today. After building FB and then GE, I wanted to keep going in order. I will say that so far I'm enjoying the build. I think the techniques have improved with each one. I do like the little brownstone that I've built so far.

  8. This can go with it: Random July 25, 2017 post: Why is my Tie Fighter valued at $180-200, why hasn't it shot up to $300 US like the other retired exclusives?

  9. OK, 50% off SSDs mystique won't win over this one now.

  13. I am *not* mopping up the mess that the last couple of pages have been. Just remember we have a UCS TIE discussion thread, a "What LEGO set did you buy today?" thread, and an Order Status thread. Want to make sure when the deals happen, they don't get lost in the shuffle of 20 "I bought one!" posts.

  15. For anyone that's having this problem, I volunteer to let you display your items at my house as a "permanent loan." I'll even spend 5 minutes making a sign that says "Courtesy of" in case you're worried I won't give you credit.

  21. Sale Sisters' name would fit great in that song they came up with for the Moulin Rouge movie. There was a line that always sounded to me like "Sale Sisters, Sold Sisters, gotta get that dough sisters..."

  23. Not a deal yet, but saw a UCS Sandcrawler top shelf in a WM at rrp last week. Maybe I will harpoon a $12 white whale some day too!

  24. A friend just picked up a few for me today at the San Paulo Lego store. 129 which comes out to about $40 apparently.

  25. It is retired now but was exclusive to Walmart and Lego store. Was hard to find very early on and stayed that way. Some were found on clearance at Walmart near the end.

  26. Amazon wants 3PS to post lowest price as long as it does not trigger the bots

  27. And I was starting to think people were gonna be sick of me posting these price drops. BTW, I won't be offended if the cleaner wants to move some of these to the TIE thread (for posterity).

  28. Not sure if I need to thank you for saving me money and storage or hating you for not posting it earlier ...

  29. It's obviously a big ole stinking turd that Amazon can't wait to get rid of.

  30. Just 3rd party now. Humans reigned in the bots. Sale Sisters account will be terminated shortly.

  31. At that price do you really care? Sell it damaged box/sealed bags and still make good money.

  32. i can't wait to read posts 1.) asking if this set a good investment at $49 or 2) stating the set's design still isn't worth $50. Here is my opinion. YES to all of above. Now Chin-Chin.

  38. I missed the 'sale'. However, it is interesting and I think mostly good news that a UCS set is being frequently discounted by a major retailer. I was much happier with my $120 Fire Brigades, than my $150 Grand Emporiums. Needing a set to double from MSRP in order to make a decent profit is a sketchy business model.

  39. Ok, new question Is that price good enough to risk Amazon's forever ban ????

  41. Last summer I brought my old 90s Pirates sets down to the beach to assemble with the goal of selling them. Unsurprisingly, I fell back in love with them, and before I left the I'd ordered a Brick Bounty to fulfill my childhood dream of owning a Pirate Ship. It only seemed appropriate to wait until I was back at the beach this week to assemble it. Not without flaws, but a great set!
