Yes there was suppose to be another set or two, but Lego decided not to do anymore, one reason is they had tons of complaints from parents and I am sure there are other reasons. "And this is not my gut saying these are retiring by the end of the year, really don't like saying where the info came from but I will say the Simpsons are not on the 2017 Exclusive order form. Now some sets sell out before the end of the year and some hang around for a few months in the new year. If you think these sets are duds well don't get any. But I think no matter how you feel about these I would get a few, does anybody really think these sets will never increase in value to make you money. Simpsons are well known worldwide, and 20 yrs from now they still will be still a hit. Ed6 points

I purchased three Spider-man Daily Bugle sets without minifigs and used the pieces (plus other pieces in our bulk bin) to build this little modular hospital. I also order a set of doctor office stickers from Brick Builders Pro. If you noticed in the pictures, apparently my son seems to think that all our doctors are also the patients...haha.6 points

I think she crashes the game and then all of your LEGO characters just argue until they won't play together anymore.4 points

Long time fans of the show will be in their prime earning years. But is there enough of them to counteract the hoarding of these sets that will occur now that they are on every reseller's radar? Sales rank on Amazon is painful. It is going to be a very limited north american market. A good discount and they may be worthy of a small role of the dice.3 points

We are forgetting the probably most obvious reason. Sales just might not have been good enough.3 points

I always thought their heads were too big, but that's been going on for decades.3 points

YMMV but picked up Scooby Doo mystery mansions and machines at Meijer for 50% off.3 points

Hopefully that doesn't lead to a john Travolta, Kirstie Alley, and David Miscavige team pack.3 points

The Ghostbusters story pack looks interesting as long as all pieces will be printed. I'd love to see a team pack for "I Dream of Jeannie". Charlie's Angels (tv series) would be cool as well.3 points

Hey you guys! Sloth! I've already gotten every single Dimensions pack up to this point, no reason not to continue. Personally, HP doesn't excite me. Neither does Adventure Time. Never was into either of those. The 80s franchises are pretty awesome tho - Mr. T, Gremlins, Goonies, E.T., Sonic. That's really cool. I'm also psyched about Teen Titans Go! Being added! I love the Beast Boy line in that trailer - "I'm the Fantastic Beast ..." and then the Fantastic Beast character grabbing him. Fun stuff. I wouldn't worry about Raven not appearing. I'm willing to bet the farm she'll be in the game, they just don't want to reveal *everything* in the trailer. They've got to have some surprises for later, too.3 points

Is it just me, or am I the odd one who never sorts my pieces??? My wife always sorts her pieces out, even with the numbered bags, and for some reason it drives me nuts. I don't know why, but I open a bag and keep the contents together of the bag, and then just get right to town. Oh yeah and on that note, when my TB fell down from it's display a while back, I just took most of it apart and just threw it all on the table and rebuilt that bad boy. Granted there were a handful of tiny sections that were still in tact and didn't need to be taken apart, but I would say that I had to rebuild a good 95%-97% of the set from scratch. Anyone else around that doesn't sort their pieces out?3 points

Got the last Birds at a B&N in the greater STL area. Paid a stupid tax (retail minus 10%) for waiting. Lesson learned.2 points

Yep, we need a Tony Nelson for this new IDEAS Saturn Rocket. They can do an Our Gang (Little Rascals) CMF series while they're at it.2 points

The most important thing about E.T. for me is that it finally brought Reese's Pieces to the masses.2 points

Oh oh, and if @Lego Templar is correct and they tried to market to adults, then these would be awesome - Thundercats - He-Man - M.A.S.K.2 points

I watched all those and the kiddie movies. Well, Gremlins and Ghostbusters were released 32 years ago, so I was 10'ish. I remember going to a Gremlins and European Vacation double-feature matinee with my sister.2 points

I just dump the bags out and go. Finding the piece is part of it for me. I grew up on expert and technic so I'm used to it. My wife also sorts them out. She keeps the house in order too so it makes sense.2 points

I really enjoy it, as well. I can't play many video games because of some dizziness/nausea issues with fake 3D (I can't even watch when my husband plays first person shooters), but Lego games are some of the few I can play without risking revisiting what I had for lunch earlier. I started with the Star Wars games and then picked up Dimensions earlier this year when it went on a really good sale. This game has brought me out of my Lego dark ages- I'd let the hobby slide while in college and just never picked it up again after I graduated. Putting the game sets together reminded me of how much I loved building with Legos, and it put me on the slippery slope to ordering the EV and the Tydirium (the new, smaller one), and now eyeing the SC (and banging my head against the wall for not ordering the DS or MF when my brother told me I should- my reason? I didn't have space to display them!! I was an idiot!). So, yeah, that's my long-winded way of saying that you're not alone, and I'm also really excited to see what gets added tomorrow!2 points

I built one tower to a certain point then started the other but that's what I liked about building it you can build one full tower or both at the same time you can even build the bridges before the towers so that's why the bags might not be numbered it's all symmetrical. Would of liked it if they added little info in the manual about the team that designed the model I would say to anyone thinking of building it is to make sure you have somewhere to display it. After the towers are built that's when you start to realise just how big it really is2 points

not everything. at this time, i am RFID tagging all exclusives with selling price over $300. if i win this and get $ from amazon then i would say "yes there is value" otherwise its a wash. Dunno yet. its something i had to try because of rising number of "scammers in/at amazon" otherwise, FBA is a trap [ at least IMHO ]. its initial cost is higher for the scanner & software but after that tag (passive ones are cheap) less than $4/piece [ even cheapest one are i think $2,50 or lower but i am using one that costs $4,00]. i think its worth it. [had to try ] { cost of insuring is the same but again insurance is a coin-toss } i have not had gotten reimbursement from insurance companies. not saying this is all 100% its more like having alarm company "home protection sign" as a deterrent to thieves.2 points

Very Lovecraftian, as Dr. Strange has always been. I'm looking forward to this and the movie. I could give a darn-diggity-darn about this as an investment. I want it for me.2 points

Saw a posting last week in the main MOCs thread of a modified Light Blue Grey Cafe Corner. I was inspired. Started off using the actual CC instructions, then sort of realized that to add in an elevator and interior I'd have to break from the guide... before long I was just freestyling the whole thing. Used original instructions to accurately build the 45º corner joints, and pulled inspiration on interior mini-builds from a number of different sets, those familiar with modulars should be able to pick them out. About 60% of the way along, I realized I was sharing a lot of parts from the Parisian Restaurant, so as I progressed into the top floor and roof I started strategically picking bricks present in that set... hoping to save a few dollars in the end. Posted in the trade forum about that already. Detailed interiors are costly on the brick front.... Total parts count for this beast is 3561! I've got these images uploaded to dropbox.... not sure how to make dropbox links show up as images in the post. If possible please advise or edit! Big thanks also to Bublible and the team working on BlueRender. Beautiful results! https://www.dropbox.com/s/fwdw3kpsjj12o0c/Cafe Corner Assembled.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/vor9r1kbyh1bsgm/Cafe Corner Ground.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/56ybd7qyqv7t1h4/Cafe Corner Ground2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8xd1oo3a2mcsai/Cafe Corner Floor 1.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nmltgcl4iuf670x/Cafe Corner Floor 2.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/bv6s7eo2v6fpkow/Cafe Corner Roof.png?dl=02 points
