  11. I started the day with $25 in VIP points available. I used them to buy the Porsche (w/ fountain), and also used a Lego calendar 100 Bonus points coupon. Then used resulting points to buy an Ewok Village (w/ fountain) + another coupon, then used resulting points to buy a (dented) Fairground Mixer (w/ fountain) + another coupon. Got 500 points for box damage on the FM. Sold the items as described. My credit card bill will have $686 in charges. My net income from eBay will be $439. End of the day, I got a mint EV, a (mildly) dented FM, and $35 in VIP points in my account for a cost of $247 (+ $5 in gas). I call it a win. Thanks for pissin' on my deal, tho.

  15. I made it. A whole month without a LEGO investment purchase. So unless 50% off SSDs show up tonight, this will be my first month of no LEGO investing since September 2013. The addiction is real.

  20. Exactly. They may be "losing" money with the coupons but that's the only reason I'm heading in there. No coupons = no money from me. They'll lose more dollars by not enticing me to come into the store.

  23. There's a trick you can use to ensure the fountain promo. If you order the Porsche, and also order something small like 1 minifig for €3, then Lego will send you the promo + minifig already right away, while your order for the Porsche will be sent separately when available.

  24. I held off on posting this, but since it was mentioned in the "Retiring Soon" thread. 21013 - Architecture: Big Ben - $23.55 (21% off)

  25. Not sure if this has been shared already. When deciding between ordering from Walmart.com vs. Amazon.com on these sale items that the price keeps dropping, consider that Walmart does honor price adjustments within the return period. Amazon strictly does not do this anymore, only on TVs. I recently went back on things I ordered the last three months from Walmart.com with the sales recently, and saved about $75 dollars on price adjustments with a simple online chat.

  28. All on eBay: sold (3) 40221 Promo Fountains for $35.50, and one 42056 Technic Porsche for $396 plus shipping. The Porsche buyer was a high-end car dealership (on their website they have Porsches, classic Corvettes, Ferrari, etc)... I wonder if they're going to give it away with the purchase of a car?

  32. No idea, but what we can see is some folk are already prepared to pay double RRP to own without waiting. What does that tell us about possible demand when it will no longer be made?

  33. Since I am a broke highschooler, I rarely ever buy/get lego sets outside of the occasional Christmas or birthday, so I have learned how to work with what I have. One of my favorite hobbies is stop motion, so I use different parts of different minifigures to make the characters that I want. Here are a few that I have recently made: Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I would also really like to see any other "makeshift figs" any of you all have created![emoji1] EDIT: The 4 figures are Black Panther, Apocalypse, Luke Skywalker, and The Winter Soldier

  35. Got 2 today at Lego store. There were about 6-7 AFOLs buying the same thing. I doubt these will last till the end of the day. People were grabbing them as soon as they are taking out from the stock room.

  38. Completely agree. I was excited for this movie because it was going to be a different point of view of Star Wars than the cookie cutter approach they took with Force Awakens. Now it sounds like a Marvel movie - throw in a couple of jokes the moment things threaten to get serious.

  40. hello, a few days ago I sent a message to TLCs customer support about 71014 DFB minfigure series and if they will return at shop@h. " "We are sorry to disappoint you: The Lego minigures 71014 DFB - Die Mannschaft isn`t produced anymore."

  43. Cameo to get people adjusted to another actor playing the role. But yeah, he'd be a not-so-young young Han Solo in this film lol John Campea addresses it off the top of his most recent podcast. It's not on YouTube yet or I'd link it but he does say pagesix's credibility sucks. Most of you probably have no clue who this guy is either but he keeps it real and has done a ton for online movie commentary.
