A while back I purchased some lego from one of the owners of Brick Bricks, a terminator salvation MOC, a few other bits and this along with a bulk lot of loose. After asking him I found out it was the beginning to a basement for the HH. Its been sat in the cupboard since, until a few day back when I fitted the HH to it a started covering the floors and adding details. Now don't get me wrong the majority of the work was not done by me, he is an amazing builder and has added secret passage ways sliding doors, prison cells, and there is a battery pack installed ready for a lighting kit. Any way just thought I'd share, get some tips and feedback. I've got a brick link order coming with various bits and some more olive bushes and lots of olive grasses, which I think will finish the front off nicely. I haven't started on the back, but was thinking of a graveyard, with a tree? I was also thinking of a large lamp post and the street. Much bigger and gothic style rather than the modular ones. Anyone have any ideas for this?11 points

Just saw this on Hoth bricks. Not sure if it's been posted yet (nor right place to post it) so admins feel free to move or delete. Figured I'd share! Looks cool!9 points

Received mine today and noticed that on the back of the packets there's a warning message 'Warning! Choking hazard. Small parts and small balls' I mean I know we like to have a joke at the Germans expense, but that's just plain rude!6 points

Love it. You could borrow the tree that comes with the Mystery Mobile for the graveyard. The Scooby sets have a lot of elements that would work well.4 points

more info via The Brick Fan LEGO has officially announced the next direct-to-consumer set with the next landmark-type set with the LEGO Creator Big Ben (10253). Some of you may already saw this leaked out yesterday ahead of the embargo which was very disappointing for those who decided to follow the rules. Anyways, Big Ben consists of 4,163 pieces and will retail for $249.99 which is a heck of a deal considering how many pieces it has compared to the price. Big Ben will become the 5th largest set that LEGO has produced and the second set this year to make that list with the Ghostbusters Firehouse (75827) being released earlier this year. It is on scale with the Tower Bridge (10214) so if you have that set, you can display it next to each other. LEGO VIPs will have early access to the set starting on June 15 and to the general public on July 1. Check out the press release and more high-quality images below. 10253 Big Ben Ages 16+. 4,163 pieces. US $249.99 – CA $299.99 – DE 219.99€ – UK £169.99 – DK 1999.00 DKK *Euro pricing varies by country. Please visit shop.LEGO.com for regional pricing. Build the world’s best-known clock tower! Get up close to Big Ben! The clock was first started on May 31st 1859, and Big Ben’s first chime rang from the 96-meter Elizabeth Tower on July 11th of the same year. This over 23” (60cm) high LEGO® interpretation of the iconic structure is a tribute to its engineering and architecture. It features a detailed facade with statues, shields and windows, and a clock tower with 4 adjustable clock dials and a removable roof allowing access to the belfry, plus buildable exterior elements including a sidewalk, lawn and a tree depicting the building’s location. This model makes a great display piece for the home or office. • Big Ben features a detailed section of the Westminster Palace and the adjoining Elizabeth Tower, 4 detailed clock dials with movable hour and minutes hands, and a sidewalk, tree and grass area depicting the building’s location. • Remove the top of the tower to access the Big Ben bell. • Put your LEGO® building skills to the test! • Special elements include 4 printed clock faces. • Rare elements include ski poles, flowers and corner plates in molded gold color, and tinted-translucent elements. • This set includes over 4,000 LEGO® pieces. • This set offers an age-appropriate building experience for ages 16+. • Big Ben measures over 23” (60cm) high, 17” (44cm) wide and 7” (20cm) deep.3 points

Did s search online for target with the DCPI number 204-00-1379 and found all locations ( Tulsa,OK) had hundreds in stock. I had been to 2 previously and not one to be found. So after I saw 279 in stock at one store - I asked an associate who brought me a case. Not one Disney minifig on the floor. ( side note... The sweet 80 year old man checking me out kept arguing that the entire case was $3.99) ( I couldn't do it - when he finally added 59 more he said " hot diggity!")2 points

Just offer free shipping. Calculate price by taking average high sale price + shipping price and take what you get. I use USPS East to mid-west and FedEx for West Coast. It averages out.1 point

Did find a $7 off $50 and $10 back in points on $50 at Sears just now, which stack. That, and 39 drawer Stack-ons for $13.99 on sale, makes ~$54 for 4 Stackons after tax plus $10 back. The only semi-solid deal.1 point

My son has been working on a spaceship of his own creation for a couple days. I think he's done a great job. It even has a little escape pod. Looks kind of like the spaceships I made when I was a kid. First and second pics are yesterday, then he added a bunch more on today in the third pic.1 point

YMMV but I found a bunch of older Lego sets in a different aisle near seasonal beach stuff this weekend. This included x2 Brick Bounty, many of the other pirates, knowhere escapes, sentinels, bike shops, double decker couches. Everything was at retail but there was a lot and in great condition. With some serious, SYW magic, I walked out with a pristine Brick Bounty for $36.25.1 point

We needed a bridge for a section in our little city...so we built this bridge. It is basically a modified version of #4852 (Spiderman The Final Showdown), with road baseplates from #6600 (Highway Construction). It is the right length and height that we needed...Did not turn out too bad. Just not sure if I am completely satisfied with it though...1 point
