Wonderful set. Top notch. I cannot understand how anyone is disappointed with this set. Investment wise...Below average...It will be around a long time and owned by a lot of people.7 points

It will be interesting to see the designer video on this. Just based on the pics, I like it, not a home run, but easily a stand up triple. This set is a MOCers dream, I saw at least 38 visible tan micro figs and a ton of other great architectural pieces.5 points

here is the comparison to the 2012 chart. interesting part is what was done in manuals with dark bley and black elements.... " In all instructions since 2012, Black parts have white outlines and Dark Stone Grey parts have black outlines. Previously it was difficult to tell the colors apart because they both had black outlines, so LEGO had to make the black parts more grayish for the outlines to show up. Ever since that change, there shouldn't be much room for confusion." http://brickset.com/article/21349 link to higher res 2012 color chart. https://www.flickr.com/photos/41229227@N06/15156610860/in/dateposted/4 points

Best Buy has the LEGO Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack on sale for $11.99 with free in-store pick-up (RRP: $29.99). Limit appears to be 1, unfortunately. Not sure if it's online only. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/wb-games-lego-dimensions-level-pack-back-to-the-future/6618021.p?id=1219664844968&skuId=66180214 points

3 bundles of dimensions (14 fun packs and a lvl pack total) on eBay for a total of $130. Buy-in was $63.4 points

I know I was knocking it but I thought I would try it. My local Wal-mart had an Imperial Assault Carrier marked down for $30 (that wasn't supposed to be in stock) stuck up on a top shelf and NOT very obvious. I pulled it down and the it was spider wrapped but also taped shut on one end. I took it to customer service to make sure that all nine bags, stickers, and manual were there before I purchased and Score!! My son and I went halfsies on it and will start building tonight. I'll let you all know what I think of the build soon.4 points

But doesn't the EUR219.99/EUR299.99 already include tax/VAT/BTW? In that case, you need to add 6-10% to the US price, because retail prices here are without tax. So at 10% TB would be $263.98, but only $248 in Europe, so EU is cheaper.3 points

Is it just me, or does this chart make it look like humans are made of Nougat? I'm gonna fill that in next time someone asks me to fill out a chart that includes WHITE as a race. Actually, i'm Light Nougat.3 points

I know I won't change anyone's mind about the set but used my VIP points and bought it first thing when I woke up today. I never played video games as a child and now as an adult Minecraft and Simpsons Tapped out are about the only 2 I play on a a somewhat regular basis. Carl, one of the set designers, used to be make appearances on the original YouTube channel Tested (based in San Francisco back when it was just Will and Norm hosting) and he has made some very cool Mocs. Kinda unfortunate they threw him into the more simplified Minecraft theme but regardless I love the sets he works on and I am stoked to support his work. I have always enjoyed the Minecraft theme and and looking forward to the set.3 points

Sorry @Stud-Flipper, I mean no harm, but your statement immediately reminded me of this quote: I assume you have a hand in this disappearance?3 points

I posted this in projects picks a few months back, but the truth of the matter is this would never get pass the approvel stage. I've seen some of your guys modular towns so I'm going post it here too I think it would make and excellent , I would love to build something like this. Loads of detail, actually looks like lego have designed it.2 points

They are slightly higher if you take exchange rate into account. For example: TB: US=239.99$ BEL=219.99€(=248.00$) SOH: US=319.99$ BEL=299.99€(=338.22$) But in the case of GBHQ the price is higher even without the exchange rate: GBHQ: US=349.99$ BEL=399.99€(=450.97$) There's some other sets where this is the case, mostly licensed stuff like Star Wars.2 points

...and by then your local K-Mart and or Sears maybe closed. No joke! My nearest were 75 and 45 miles away in separate directions, both closed this summer. Now my nearest is 110 and 120 miles in opposite directions. WTF K-mart???? STAY OPEN!2 points

Anyone who has built a few of the architecture sets is used to these microfigs by now. They don't diminish from the look once you get used to them.2 points

I had someone inquiring about an AA the other day, wanted overnight shipping. I told them it would be extra and I'd price it for them. $150, never heard from them again.2 points

I love it when customer refuses to pay extra for expedited shipping but wants items shipped as soon as they hit the buy button2 points

This is really nice. Lego did a great job here. I can't help but think, though, that this will be an amazingly repetitive build. Kind of like building Eiffel Tower or Tower Bridge. For as bad as Skirmish on Hoth is, they did really well here. A definite buy.2 points

Couldn't stop thinking about getting my dream HP sets...so I bit the bullet and grabbed Diagon Alley and The latest Hogwarts 4842. And a 4867 Hogwarts attachment of course2 points

Price on these dropped by another $0.80 - now $30.64 before multiples saving and 15% discount. Price when buying 2 is $25.38 each.2 points

Threw these little fun sets together while running through some systems releases and waiting for other guys to do their thing. These are great little play sets for kids and good value for money with two minifigs and two vehicles. Not sure how collectors will take to them but meh they kept me amused for a few minutes.2 points
