  1. Hey, BPers! In addition to being a fellow investor and Lego-Dad, I'm a filmmaker, and I just completed a mash-up of The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. The two films are virtually identical story-wise, so I edited footage from both into a single video, cutting back and forth seamlessly. I'm very proud of the way it turned out, and I think you guys in particular will enjoy it. Thanks for watching! John EDIT: Apparently I have no idea how to embed. Thanks to TheGallows for posting a link.

  8. Ironically, today just happens to be Senior Discount Day at Shopko. Unfortunately there are no good sales or clearance prices to be had in my area. We cleaned them out of all the good stuff the past two months. I was hoping the stars and planets would have aligned and that they would be running a decent May the 4th sale to stack with the senior discount. No luck.

  13. Sorry to offend, I meant nothing at all about you specifically (I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't do that) - I was just joking, since it is a fairly common occurrence (usually with new users).

  15. Finished a pair of townhouses from the 10218. I mirrored one, have not decieded which way I will place them. Going to add another townhouse with the pet shop, should make a nice residential block for my town.

  16. Now retired at Lego SAH US! Still available on Amazon at retail, but not sure where else. Will check back in a couple years. Good luck all on this one.

  17. Exactly. If folks want a 100% guaranteed 10179, they can buy a new one. I can't tell you how many used multiple set lots I purchased that were thrown in one box or needed some elements from bricklink to complete them. People need to find something else to campaign for.

  23. That's a bootleg. The masks for the troopers are not correct, and the logo is blurred out, likely to hide the fact is says STAR WARZ

  29. Bricklinked is not an official reseeling term I don't see why anyone need to use it if everything is a 100% match. If I buy a lot from CL , use those pieces along with some from my collections and others from Bricklink what while I list it as ? A hybrid ? Again unless I'm gonna make more money selling a friends set that has a 2x1 from a 10179 I don't see why the reverse is an issue .
    2 points
  30. Then what's the harm in saying it was bricklinked? If you bricklinked a set, what reason would you have for not mentioning it was bricklinked? The reality is that people aren't bricklinking the balloon cart poly (no offense Poly :)) and putting it on eBay. They're bricklinking the big and expensive sets... and with that comes the risk of wrong parts, fake stickers, etc. If you all truly believe its worth the same, then you should put BRICKLINKED in your title and see if it matters.

  33. Seriously guys, why should retailers put sale signs above the LEGO sections when people would line up to pay $150 for a box of white bricks or $250 when the box has UCS stamp on it ? Too soon?

  39. just ridiculous. an absolute poorly researched conclusion. don't read a book, because the book won't let your mind wander and will make you focus on just a single plot, rather than let your mind run amok with ideas
