But you didn't post a deal.. You posted some vague reference to a potential deal we're apparently not thinking about correctly. I'm trying to say it politely, but you aren't exactly being helpful. And if you don't want to share, I truly have no objection to that - I don't always share everything either - but I won't tell people to just try harder. I personally think it's condescending and unhelpful to the BP community.7 points

Someone moc'd up the scene in the trailer with the At-At's. Lego, please take note. Now this is something that we all expect that has the UCS badge.7 points

Wasn’t going to bother with it, but I managed to get hold of a used one at a good price and after building a bunch of SW sets, it was nice to build something that was asymmetrical and not grey. Fairly straight forward and the mini builds are great, it’s a standard dolls house really. The roof is annoying as you only have to look at it and it falls off so I’ll mod that, and it could maybe do with being another brick taller, so i may do something with it. But otherwise I’m totally sold on it.6 points

I've been bitten by the LEGO ship bug. Not sure if I know where to stop. This made an appearance at my TRU yesterday and I decided I couldn't resist. My 4 year old loves it. Wife digs it to. So fun techniques to it and best surprise - it has wheels. The wheel movement works the paddle wheels and the oars. I might even do a write up on this one. We had a good time putting it together. We also built the Knight's Cycle 30371 polybag5 points

21305 The Maze with my son - we had a little bit of father & son time today as my wife and my daughter are staying overnight at a dance competition. A little, because most of it was driving back from said dance competition, then quickly eating something so he could sit in the back of my classes for 3+ hours while I ran them. Did manage to build The Maze in roughly 1hr - we raced through it (he's almost 10 and competitive in his building ). First tries this evening have proven that it is challenging and totally sucks you in. We won't have much more time before the ladies arrive tomorrow late afternoon - I teach another class Saturdays (Minecraft, so he gets to participate) so not much Maze time between sleeping in, preparing for class, driving to class and teaching. This set is going to be a hit. Lots of cool bricks and plates (1x14 tan bricks, anyone?) - but likely LEGO produced a gazillion of them so we'll see them in stores for the next 5 years. Cue @exciter1 and his boat full of LEGO boxes pic.5 points

I think I made a pretty good score earlier this week: Listed as $60 for the 6090 Royal Knights Castle with "a few extras" in case the castle wasn't complete. With the castle being worth it in parts alone I figured why not. I met up with the guy, we chatted a bit and he gave me a cardboard box with the "Extras" in a very dusty condition and pointed out more castle pieces in it... I spotted some vintage alien sets, a few Aquaraiders, and some small new & sealed Castle sets. Sweet! After parting ways (I paid the $60, and didn't haggle) I poked around even more and found there's a pretty complete looking # 6281 Pirates Perilous Pitfall in there too! Needless to say, I'm really happy with the purchase and am looking forward to cleaning it all up and seeing what else lurks in there! I'll post more pictures of the haul spread out if anyone is interested.5 points

I really like the A Wing/Advanced Tie with Vader set. It'll be interesting to see whether or not Poe's X-Wing will be on the shelf alongside the new color scheme.3 points

Yeah, I might grab some Carbon Freezing Chambers too, I have zero of them at the moment. Got 12 Rey's Speeders on clearance from ASDA for £7.99 each a couple of months back, which was very very lucky and one of my best finds, hopefully!3 points

Sorry to continue to derail, but I stumbled across this one today and it's had me cracking up all morning. I'm easily amused I guess, but I could totally see me or some friends doing this in a past life.3 points

Grrhess, people will build, Grrhess. They'll come to the Lego store for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll come in the door, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. "Of course, we won't mind if you have a look around," you'll say. "It's only ten cents per brick." They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it; for it is money they have and bricks they lack. And they'll walk out to the bricks, and sit in short-sleeves at a Lego table. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the Lego VIP areas, where they sat when they were children and cheered their Super Heroes. And they'll watch the build, and it'll be as if they'd dipped themselves in magic bricks. The memories will be so thick, they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come, Grrhess. The one constant through all the years, Grrhess, has been the brick. America has rolled by like an army of stormtroopers. It's been destroyed like poorly build MOC, rebuilt, and erased again. But bricks have marked the time. This brick, these blocks, are a part of our past, Grrhess. It reminds us of all that once was good, and it could be again. Ohhhhhhhh, people will build, Grrhess. People will most definitely build.2 points

I think I could have gotten an entire sealed case of S14 the other day at Target - there was one thrown on a shelf somewhere completely sealed and the barcode rang up the price of a single one .... but my internal sense of right vs wrong didn't allow me to even consider trying this on a rookie cashier.2 points
