Tonight I finally got the remaining pieces to finish the Predator Supercar designed by former Lego Technic designer Nathanaël Kuipers. I really love the look of this car and it has an interesting and very well designed vertical gearbox. If you would like more info about the Predator Supercar see his webpage here.8 points

LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) Box Distribution Posted: 04 Apr 2016 07:05 AM PDT As we know by now, the LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) will be available starting on May 1 but they have already shown up at LEGOLAND Billund. One of the main questions of the series was the box distribution and it looks like we have that answer via someone in the Legend Bricks LEGO 交流交友區 Facebook group which are as follows. Alien x4 Genie x4 Mickey x4 Mr. Incredible x4 Stitch x4 Syndrome x4 Aladdin x3 Alice x3 Ariel x3 Buzz Lightyear x3 Captain Hook x3 Cheshire Cat x3 Daisy Duck x3 Donald Duck x3 Maleficent x3 Minnie x3 Peter Pan x3 Ursula x3 As you can see, you can still get three complete sets in an unopened, unsearched through box which is great. The distribution is pretty even because there aren’t any minifigure that come five in a box now. Well this series is looking like a very short run. I have never seen them appear in any of the local walmarts. Saw them briefly at a target, found them multiple times at TRU, and not a single walgreens in my area has them. Far cry from previous series. I think the disney series is going to be flush to the brim and all over the place, but series 15 could be that silent series that came out briefly, and went just as fast.3 points

My first, unplanned, foray into vehicle/minifig part-outs: After buying a 75102 Poe's X-Wing from Amazon for $76 shipped, found a better offer a week later from KMart for $63 shipped. Contemplated returning the one from Amazon, but (cheap as I am) didn't want to pay the $7 return shipping. So I split out the 4 minifigs and put them on BrickLink & BrickOwl, and listed the X-Wing as no-box, no-minifigs on EBay during the 40% off sellers' fees promo. Sold all of them within 2 weeks, making $90 after shipping and fees. And since I claimed tax back from Amazon making the original purchase $71, I basically got a 75102 X-Wing for $44 all in. Can still lower that a bit more if I decide to list the box .....3 points

Now I have to show my pedantic side again, but I think you meant his likes:posts ratio is going to be rather high. There are tons of other members who vie for the highest posts:likes ratio3 points

For someone who's interested: Star Wars TFA Bluray $16.99 from Target eBay: http://m.ebay.com/deals?&_trksid=p1468660.m2212&deal=5002802789 Something I would use eBay bucks to pay for.2 points

If you have the 100 VIP points coupons from the calendar from last Christmas, you can use those when buying something small (a discounted CMF?) and then use the points towards the Maze. That's how I got mine for $53.50 all in (after redeeming 400 VIP points). Needed to add a small item to get Mr Freeze as well (added an Easter Chick).2 points

Good question. Usually MF+ mentions a limited time deal for BPers too. I preordered from them for the first time with Series 15 and just sent them money via PayPal and not through eBay. Hopefully they will make the offer again.2 points

It's hiding. If you go to the Star Wars forum on the app, you have to go to "Stickies" and find it there. All of the stickied posts in every forum are like that. Trips me up all the time, don't worry.2 points

That's exactly what I'm planning to do early May. Take my wife and kids for a day of shopping in Oberhausen, and buy some Lego sets which cost a lot more in The Netherlands while we're there anyway. It's slightly less than 2 hours drive from my place. Not something I'd want to do regularly, but once a year might be doable.2 points

Haha ... I have this fixation with numbers and have always been looking at the likes:posts ratio on this site. Figured out fairly early on that a 0.5 or better ratio seems to be the norm for the most contributing and active users - and typically users who get into trouble with the mods do not meet this threshold. Luckily for all three of us - we're safe EDIT: Added @gregpj - also safe2 points

All the stores tell me that these are EOL already, that's why they aren't coming into Singapore permanently anymore. Which is why prices have already risen. Modular sets like PS, PC, PR, the UCS Helicarrier as well. But all of these are still readily available in the US and Europe, so I have no idea why all these sets aren't coming into Singapore anymore. That's why I'm very happy when I'm in Europe and have to buy as many sets as I can. All you people with Lego stores servicing your countries are so lucky.2 points

Bought 7 sets in Germany recently. 2 EV, 2 GBHQ, 1 TB, 1 PC and 1 SC. Managed to sell 5 of those sets for a profit, which left me with essentially a free SC and EV, so I decided to break out the SC to build it up. What an awesome build it turned out to be! Truly befitting of an UCS set, unlike the upcoming Hoth set... I have 2 other SCs kept in storage MISB. I think I shall get a few more of these down the road2 points

update #2 - still there, still $8. At what point do you give up? I don't know what the answer is, but I do know that the answer is not "after nine months or so"1 point
