  1. Awesome build. Somewhat complex and yet fun too. Playing afterwards is a lot of fun as well. Very cool to be able to change mazes as well. This is a huge winner in my humble lego opinion. Usually after the build, the set is just a trophy but this set is very fun after the build. The designer of this set gets a big thumbs up in our house.

  2. I also built 21305 Maze today, with my daughter together. We both loved it! I tried to play it, it's actually pretty difficult!

  3. I couldn't help myself today at a local mall. $50 in VIP points and plus Mr. Freeze polys for each family member. I didn't want the huge box with holes in it so the contents were dumped into 2 XL bags. For a set I never planned on buying, looks like I'll be building it.

  5. Two things I have noticed about this set. First, I have never had so much fun with a completed lego set after the build. My son and I have had an ongoing competition for 2 days now and it's still super fun and addictive. Second, no lego set has ever made me curse so much as this set has. This set is a must have for lego fans of any age and for those that just enjoy a good challenging game without electronics.

  6. 70172, while this is a Ultra Agents set, the kids thought it was awesome. Tons of playability and the fact that you can fit a minifig in the sharks mouth is sweet. The crane that holds the cell is weak and the giant harpoon gun hanging off the small boat is comical, but still a fun set. 5x eBay bucks and I broke down and bought our first Indiana Jones set. Came clean and with every piece in good shape, awesome set. I want to pick up a couple more now. Does anyone know if there are straight pieces of this smaller track?

  11. I am not sure how viable on keep buying the "exclusive" sets are anymore. Everyone and their dog is doing the same thing with articles being written about investing in Lego is better than gold. How many of these $400+ sets can you sell in a year? The target audience is dwindling to the rich and serious collectors. Then comes the worry of fraud on these high end sets. Having a few are nice, but not sure about being a major portion of a portfolio. Where as if you can pick the right ones under the radar sets at MSRP between $25-60 hope it appreciates to $50-100+ set where it is still affordable to most grand/parents, uncles, aunties, god mother/fathers etc. buying these as gifts for kids you maintain the huge intended audiance. You can probably flip more of these and have less headache with storage. Perfect example from 2015 is probably 75920 Raptors Escape. Yes it was a Wal-mart exclusive but there were plenty available in Q4 of 2015 for people to load up. Those saw the opportunity were able to cash in during the summer shortage and Christmas madness. Today, this set is going for $95 on Amazon, yes a dropped from it's peak but still much higher than MSRP. This year, I am keeping watch with sets in this price range and load up on it and reduce the amount of $200+ sets.

  14. Yes but Just2Good is not the one making the claim. J2G made the Disney claim and they're piggy backing this new claim on his April 1st post from last year in an effort to give it credibility...

  16. My wife and son built this last week, they both enjoyed the build. A set I only bought to sell hence the 'ebay' photo. Quite an impressive finished product even though HP doesn't interest me.

  19. @feed: Is that ISD 75055? The box of that set is quite big so that's surprising. Finished building that Batman set with the exception of Batmobile and Batcopter and the superhero minifigures. Those are already packed for sale to recoup parts of the original costs. It was a fun build and the final result is more impressive than I imagined. A lot of people complain about the set but I think it's cool. I'm not a fan of superheroes and Batman though. And this is how it could look like if integrated into a modular street.

  20. My 4yo built 41115 Emma's Creative Workshop. She loves it, and I have to say the little printed post it notes are super cool! Friends sets get some cool tiny printed pieces that seem like they would be stickers in any other series.

  21. LEGO store had Easter Chicks unmarked on shelf, but they rang up $4.98 so I got a few to be able to cash in my 100 bonus VIP points x2. Then immediately used those points plus 200 previously saved rewards to purchase a 21305 Maze for $49.99, plus 1 more Easter Chick to get the Mr Freeze poly. Yay me!

  25. It's never wrong to be a bit cautious about who you dealing with but to say you think "everyone is a scammer" is just crazy. I have both bought and sold a lot of items on eBay and have only had an issue maybe 3 or 4 times. Most all transactions go without a hitch. I know for a fact there are lots of eBay sellers which are good people just trying to make a little extra money and have a good time doing it. From my experience there are lots of sellers which not only give you what was described but often give more than you ever expected. I have made a few packaging mistakes as a seller but as long as you are honest with the buyer most are really nice and understanding as long as you do what it takes to correct the problem. So I say don't be afraid to either buy or sell on eBay. However as I said in the beginning it is never wrong to be cautious so if something does not seem right don't be afraid to walk away and try someone else. We all know there are some bad people trying to always take advantage of others no matter where you go. So always keep your guard up for them.

  29. The great irony... I don't trust anyone on eBay, I hate to shop there. I think everyone is a scammer, even though I personally have only had one bad transaction, that wasn't terrible. And I don't know anyone personally who has gotten scammed hard. Yet here I am, trying to figure out how to get people to trust me so I can sell them something on eBay. I don't know if I feel like a sellout or a hypocrite, but I can't help but feel like someone is being entertained by my plight.

  32. Sold a lot of 30 lbs of used LEGO no minis or booklets for $220 + shipping. It was most of a lot I picked up Monday for $60. I sorted out non LEGO. I have a few SW minifigures, many baseplates and a few more lbs to sell from it too. Not a bad flip in under a week.

  35. 7620 Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase Picked this up on eBay recently. My 4 year old grabbed it from me and built it himself. Fun little build. Finally starting in on getting all the Indy LEGO from the 3 movies. Curious to see a 4th movie in a couple of years.

  36. I went to the Science and Industry in Chicago last weekend with my family and we went through the Lego Exhibit there. They had an area in the back where people could create their own buildings with tons of open Architecture Studio sets as the building material. Overall it was quite incredible to see some of these sculptures.

  40. Today I built all six possible builds from LEGO Dimensions level pack 71235 (Midway Arcade). The Arcade Machine is my absolute favourite model from this level pack. For me it's the main draw besides the gamer minifigure. This was one of the rare instances where I made a first-day purchase as I was eagerly awaiting its release since seeing the first pictures of it. The first 3 models are Arcade Machine, 8-Bit Shooter and The Pixelator (bottom left). The Pixelator and Arcade Machine are doable without using instructions. The other three models are G-6155 Spy Hunter, The Interdiver and Aerial Spyhunter (from top to bottom). Here the main model is the best one, too.

  41. 3 recent builds. 4768 - Durmstrang ship - I picked this up in a bulk bin and I am surprised at how nice it looks. On Friday and Saturday, I built the New York City skyline and my fiancee built the Wall-E set. New York City is well designed, particularly the Chrysler building. And Wall-E is already famous on the forum... go and get one to build and some to hold.
