In a sleepy little town called Billund in Denmark, there is a treasure. And if you have the right connections, you can get a peek at it. The Lego House is a museum that can be visited by special arrangement. Its a very well done timeline of the company with lighted walls showing photos, history, and niches of actual products over the years. But if you have the right guide, you can step through a secret wall panel in the tour, go down a shallow set of steps, and badge through a door labeled "engineering". There you will find "the vault" and a copy of every Lego set made since the 1970's. This is actually Lego's "archival" vault, which means that authorized employees can go down there to do research. You are allowed to gently handle the sets and take pictures. And take your trip down memory lane. Lego has several other vaults in secret locations, with pristine copies of every set, but those aren't open even to employees. This is the one where you get to feel like a kid again, and kick yourself for not hanging on to that Space, Town, or Pirate set you had long ago. Interestingly this vault used to include competitor products as Lego did "market research" on its peers. You can still find a stray Mega***** item there. No room left now that they are adding 350 products a year, so that's all been cleared out. The 2016-2017 product shelf is unmarked and kept tightly closed. Not even a peek allowed there.18 points

I bought one of these at TRU today. As the cashier was ringing me up she asked which one I was looking for. Shark Suit Guy, obviously. Within 10 seconds she had picked up 5 or 6, smooshed them, and tossed one in my bag. "That's the one" she said. When I got in my car I opened it up - damn, she was good. Thank you TRU cashier. Apparently all the employees smoosh the bags when they're slow to pass the time.5 points

Picked up set 75055 from a local Toys R Us Express... they price matched it to the website at $114.99 and I used a $100 gift card that I got from eBay for $85, so my total out of picket with tax was $109.91. One side is pretty beat up so I might keep this one to build and sell off my other set that's still sealed.3 points

I find very few deals at my local Targets. Occasionally they'll have some items at 30% off, but usually not what I'm interested in. Went to an out-of-the-way Target today... figured I'd give it one more try. Nothing that I wanted in the toy aisle. So I just picked up a couple rolls of packing tape I needed. Up near checkout; I saw loads of polybags like Poe's X-Wing, TIE Advanced, etc, at $3.99 (no thanks). Then I saw the fresh-looking minifigure packs there... one "peg" full of 20 in each aisle... figured I'd try and pick up a shark-man while I waited in line. Got to smooshin' and realized, these weren't Series 15 figs... they were all Series 13 (still $3.99). My peg of 20 had five hot dog guys... so I picked those up. Biggest Target score for me in months.2 points

I don't think the $250 UCS with only one Snowspeeder in it is going to keep prices of the 75049 down. That's one heck of an expensive alternative.2 points

From Brickfanatics.co.uk Now I saw this on an American fansite and refrained from posting until I heard some facts. So first the rumors doing the round on various forums suchs as Bricklink, Eurobricks as well as sites like reddit. Depending on what you read, it is either down to a quality issue: getting multiple torsos with no legs, missing accessories, too many accessories or the best one is a copyright issue with the Shark Guy who looks very similar to the Left and Right Shark from the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show last year. What I can confirm is there is no issue in the UK or Europe and on the LAN (LEGO Ambassador Network) this morning KimT posted this: “Just to be clear – we have not done a recall in 6 years and if we did, I am quite confident we’d all know. There may be other issues that would warrant a temporary stop for distribution, but recalls are different: https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/product-recalls?domainredir=service.lego.com” So if anything else is posted I will post and let you know. http://brickfanatics.co.uk/recall-on-lego-minifigures-series-15/2 points

Honstly, I would care more if the set was actually in the catalog. In past years, Lego put sets in the Spring catalog that ultimately sold-out w/o returning. 10221 is the best example. Then again, using the catalog as a prediction cool is like playing black or red in roulette. Catalog has worse odds.2 points

Still waiting on the few parts i need to finish this up. So for the time being I've just been playing around with the Paddock interior. Moving plants around, adding plants, removing plants. And adding in fun little scenes/items. I've also finished the Goat enclosure. I don't have room for the washroom as previously discussed, but i decided to add a little Restroom sign that the Lawyer will be running to Clever girl..... Just about finished. Waiting on track pieces, Lawyer pieces, T-Rex Paddock sign parts, and a couple plants to finish it up.2 points

don't forget to activate your 3x ebay bucks first if you got the offer. - gets it down to $80. it only let me do an order of one - i did 3 yesterday - wondering if there's a weekly limit?1 point

Amen to that. I've never seen these last long on shelves. Very recognizable ship, excellent play value, and great price. If I were a kid (still really am just a big kid anyways ) that's where my eyes would get drawn to. Plus, it is one of 2 sets that has BB-8, the other one being the twice as expensive 75105 MF (unless you got one for $35 as some of us did ... cursessssssss).1 point
