Ok. I tried tonight. Here's the catch. You can have 20% and 15% on the same transaction but not the same item. BUT you can NOT stack the $xx of $xx coupon to the same transaction. So the best bet will be 2 legos and use 20% and 15% in 1 transaction. I can use the $15 off $100 on Dimensions pack, but no other coupons. and yes, I buy 12 3-CPO and get 1 FREE. I tried use the $15 off $100 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $100, the system will throw you an error saying no enough amount. I tired used the $5 off $25 even after my discounted lego (1 with 20% and 1 with 15%) are over $25, the system flag the coupon as OFFLINE, I have no idea what that means. In Oct, we can have $5 of $25, 20% and 20% on the same transaction, but in Nov, that's the case anymore. It still can be done, but need manager override, so I tell them remove the $xx off $xx coupon, and everything works. Hope it helps.4 points

Don't mind at all. I purchased lot from a fellow Brickpicker back in February/March. Consisted of 250+ lbs. He had done some initial sorting, but finishing that and washing all the parts took about a month. I have been ordering parts as I go, inventorying about a dozen sets or so going by theme.(Had over 100 sets in it from 2005-2009 timeframe) Overall, I'm sure I've made minimum wage due to that hours put in sorting, but was able to keep some really cool sets like an Emerald Night, Motorized AT/AT, 7993 Service Station I've wanted for a long time, random figures, etc. etc. Between what I kept and sold/end up selling(have about a dozen left), I'll make a few thousand profit on a few thousand investment. Was hoping to double my money and I'll be darn close to doing it. This takes into account parts ordered, but not time or anything as I don't lose normal income due to working on this. I've kept a spreadsheet just for this lot to see how it goes. I'll also be taking a long break from doing this again as well.4 points

I would imagine the Campervan will most likely never get to the lofty heights of the Beetle for value, but it's not about making 500-600% ROI. It's about knowing that in the T1 Campervan you're investing in a set that should have no problem doubling it's price within a year or two. eBay sales sit around 80 - 120% of the retail price, a strong indication that despite being readily available in stores people are happy to pay a premium for this set. The numbers sold on eBay are impressive. The EU stock and sales figures for TLG (according to EU Brickset figures) were some of the best for any Creator set. The demand is there for a Lego Campervan, and unless they remake it once it retires it will always be desirable and garner a premium. That in my book is very cool.3 points

I have a funny story about a husband and wife cosplay duo at CVII. Her husband was dressed up as Slave Leia and she was an Admiral or something. I took their pic and laughed, told the guy he had cojones and went on. Later in the day I saw a red Stormtrooper or something, stopped for a pic and he said "Hey man, you took my picture earlier!" I did? "Yes, the dude dressed up as Slave Leia." Doh!3 points

I swear I recognize that Princess Leia. Scary. Makes you wonder what the view from the back is like in a I-want-to-throw-up kind of way. ;)3 points

That means cancelling all the Porsche Speed Champions sets too, then. Ain´t gonna happen. Beware of any car that declares 1 under the emissions tax threshold - only a German would fake things with such precision.2 points

Since the owner started this one with the Battlefront link (and everyone is enjoying it) - I would say that you might be overruled. It will likely die out soon enough. If not, then it should be moved (but I say give it some time). Well aware... That's why I said deeper. If it's not ex1 derailing a thread it's Ed Mack! BTW I'm old school (or just old) my fav was the original X-Wing and Tie Fighter games that ran on my old 386-40.2 points

I still play SW BF2 from time to time if I feel like destroying a bunch of rebel scums. I use Imperial Pilot to fly a TIE, sneak in to the rebels' main ship, steal an A-Wing, and use the A-Wing to destroy as many X-Wings & Y-Wings as I can2 points

This set is such an enigma to me. When it first came out, I started buying it as much as I could, when I saw it wasn't making it to target and walmart shelves, but only seemed to be offered online and at TRU (in small sporadic batches). So, I grabbed quite a bunch of these, and inow, we sit here in the states, and this thing is about to go in the next few months. I have a feeling, it will blow out of Amazon soon, and then it will sit at 139.99 for months at TRU until it finally goes. Part of me wants to grab more, and then part of me says "stop", so I sit idle. However, I think long term this set will be one of those to have. Take the Harry Potter or Indy Jones lines - theres quite a few sets in those lines that stuck out. To me this is one of 5 sets in the Hobbit/LOTR line that sticks out and will be good to have. Will they sell fast 4 or 5 years from now? Probably not, so I wouldn't want to be sitting on 100s.1 point

Referencing VW to Rover is kind of like comparing Scarlett Johansson to Jodie Marsh, sure she's a reliable goer but has terrible bodywork and lacks class.1 point

We've got a thread for this guys... I don't really want to move these posts there since they have relevance to the craze of SW VII but I think we should mosey on to that thread if the discussion gets any deeper. :)1 point

Wouldn't say I'm a veteran member... but this type of continuing restock did actually happen last year. Different sets behaved differently though. There is what some people here call "the dance" when a set is going out of stock, then available again, out of stock again, etc. and one day it's simply gone. The problem as I understand it is that in the time before this dance has been more reliable, as EOL came true for most sets where EOL has been expected. Exceptions being for example: Death Star and GE Now there are a number of more sets that just don't want to go while other sets retire unexpected: Especially TH! Even though HH and R2D2 have been in time they could just as well have lingered on for some time... but LEGO retired them either way. But that's probably a bad example ;-) TH is the better one! ^.^ Now we're seing the same thing with UCS X-Wing and PS... and AGAIN!!! DS... with DS everyone is confused. We all do know that someday it just has to go... but with it lingering on and on and on... I guess almost everyone is confused and has given up to anticipate the real EOL by now. (Some here sit on many of these for years by now and that's heavy...) The PS would be the next one to go but with the unanticipated EOL of TH people have gotten unsure about LEGOs retirement strategy. I'd still say that they kind of follow the plan "the oldest one goes first" but as we've seen in the past it's not always what happens. I'd say PS is next one to go and with BB coming out next year it's about time. My prognosis would be that it'll be gone at least throughout the middle of next year. UCS X-Wing the same. So: Yes continuing restock happend last year. At least that's been my perception of things.1 point

This one here really is a HIGHLIGHT! LEGO Erebor (see link: http://lego.gizmodo.com/120-000-piece-lego-erebor-is-twice-the-size-of-a-hobbit-1727100838 ) I can only guess how much bricks and time this must have consumed... The result is stunning! See even more pictures if you click the link ;-) (yes there actually IS an interior!)1 point

You need to upload tracking through eBay, better yet purchase shipping through eBay and it will upload automatically. For any item under $750 if tracking shows delivered you should be covered. As the buyer has already contacted you I would call eBay and let them know what's up. Also if you shipped USPS don't be surprised if the item gets delivered in the next few days, sometimes they get ahead of themselves with marking packages delivered.1 point

Happens quite a bit. As long as paypal clears it after the review I wouldn't worry to much. Just send it signature confirmation as its over 750. A lot of guest checkouts get that message now. Paypal allows guest accounts so those usually get flagged for the review or other reasons. If you can send UPS instead of USPS as its easier and more successful to redirect if they open a case right after you ship. USPS will usually wind up still delivering where as UPS will intercept it with a lot more success. I always google the name and address and pull up google maps on high dollar ones if I am iffy and can usually find some sort of match. Can always research there feedback and see if any purchases the past few months. Ones that have good feedback but no transactions the last 6 months to year are a little more worriesome. Can also call ebay / paypal before shipping if you want to see if they notice anything that may look suspicious on there end. Was a little disappointed not to see your cat in the pics!!1 point

You are it getting any discount. It's eBay being eBay and being shady. Put the same. Item into PayPal ship now or usps and you will get some rare. It's an online discount. Not eBay.1 point
