  7. Ok, so I'm posting this for Lego Rules since he inquired. Everything I ordered shipped... I'm too embarrassed to say the exact quantity, but needless to say it was over 10 each of the Exo, truck and train... and they all shipped, so there seems to be no rhyme or reason to Walmart Ban Hammer like Lego.com...

  11. Take pics or a video? I didn't take any video while going about it which is good as it would need a lot of editing because of all the foul language I was using. I'll take some pictures of the final product later today.

  14. You need to upload tracking through eBay, better yet purchase shipping through eBay and it will upload automatically. For any item under $750 if tracking shows delivered you should be covered. As the buyer has already contacted you I would call eBay and let them know what's up. Also if you shipped USPS don't be surprised if the item gets delivered in the next few days, sometimes they get ahead of themselves with marking packages delivered.

  16. My curiosity got the best of me today and I bought the 6085 Black Monarch's Castle that has been sitting on Blinq.com for the past few weeks after they lowered the price dramatically. I'll be surprised, but pretty happy if a NISB set from the 1980s arrives at my doorstep for $400.

  24. Kids don't buy, parents do. I think LEGO still moves inside of a safety zone. Also you have to take into consideration that most sets are priced in a normal price range from 10-120. That's how it's always been. More expensive sets are out there too, but PR or BB or DS is not an everyday toy for everyone but either collectors treat OR the ultimate present for kids. (Or maybe just another present if the parents have enough money ;-)).

  25. To protect the integrity of the boxes of the larger sets I actually did a bunch of orders of 2 for trains and 3 for trucks (assuming that's how many that come in a Lego shipping box). For the exos I just made two large orders (dozen each), but that shipped too. Let's just say my email folder is full of walmart confirmations and receipts.

  29. Doesn't make sense to me either... I understand there are always the "hidden" fees but it should not be that big of a difference. The pre-tax German price is only 6% higher than the Canadian price and about 8% higher than the US price so not too bad, but yeah the big differences across the EU is baffling. The price difference will affect the market... I see this selling OK in NA but not so well across the pond. I agree somewhat with Ed that Ghostbusters isn't as iconic as the other movies, but it has a cult following and let's face it, there are so many people who shell out big $$ for LEGO that there is a market for the big sets. Kids get the small ones, adults get this big ones. :)

  31. I haven't had a chance to play around with everything yet but best thing so far being the forum is fast again compared to the former version that was speedy for a while but in those last couple of months ended up taking an eternity to load the main page and some of the topics also. I spot the little bell dangling in the corner and soon as some notifications come in I'm sure it will be useful. Right now it's just sitting there and seeing it I feel like I should be expecting a phone call. Ha.

  39. Just an FYI, eBay gets angry if you leave positive feedback with a negative comment like that, and much like Dr.Banner (or hxckid) you don't want to see eBay angry.

  41. Bricklink's maintenance schedule. Drives me insane. Probably because I'm in the one time zone that it affects the most (imo). Tonight, it's their monthly maintenance, which is from 10-11 PM local time. Nightly, it's the 10 minutes at 10:50 PM that gets me. Why? Because that's when I'm usually finishing up some of my dealings on BL. And I have to wait those 10 minutes. When all I want to do is go to bed at that point. Argh!
