The chart only backs what I have been saying, LEGO has changed the way they retire sets and now adjust to sales. The horde has been extending production runs. With some sets, it might get to a point where even the horde can't save them, but the game has changed. I would recommend buying sets earlier if you want them to retire faster. This will be hard for many of you to put your arms around, but it could help bring back more stable retirement dates.12 points

I... I just wanted to make a really, reaaally long Holiday Train. I was going to run my Chrismas lights through them and hang the lines from my roof. It would've gone viral, Lego! It would've gone VIRAL! You're missing out on a great marketing opportunity by banning me!4 points

Decided to try some of the Architecture series lately (White House, Big Ben) and today built Falling Water. Build was fun though a little repetitive but I didn't mind. Finished model looks fantastic and they way the building comes apart is a very cool feature. I live near a Frank Lloyd Wright building (Marin County Civic Center) and have spent many hours there so it was fun to put together one of his creations. Looking forward to more of the Architecture series....3 points

From Wikipedia.. Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor and in Latin lex parsimoniae, which means 'law of parsimony') is a problem-solving principle devised by William of Ockham (c. 1287–1347), who was an English Franciscan friar and scholastic philosopher and theologian. The principle can be interpreted as: My hypothesis...If it sells...it stays.3 points

I think I'm most impressed & jealous that you guys receive orders so fast. Going to California, I never see a shipment sooner than a week. My 10/13 orders are scheduled for 10/20 & 10/21.3 points

Sorry to hear this. But thanks for being honest about your purchase history. So many people get banned and they swear they only placed one order in the last six months or whatever. "Officer I swear I only had two beers. Just two..."2 points

It's very easy to do at Legoland, as well. If you remember back in January, the AT-DP Polybag (30274) was available, and sold out within 3 days, I think. In March, these showed up by the bucket full at Legoland California. And I'm not kidding by bucket full. They have these display "buckets" that have three tiers on them, by the registers. They're all over The Big Shop (the biggest retail store), but they are spread throughout the park. It was extremely easy to pick up that polybag by the 100s. That's not the only time that has happened, though. 30283 Off-Road polybag was available for awhile at Legoland, as well, in a similar situation. The Joker Bumper Car was there last month, too. Same thing. The Elves polybag was also the same way. There are about 8 retail locations throughout the park, and they are all very well stocked.2 points

My thoughts exactly. It ties with all the rumors. UCS set coming about an Ice Planet.....Check New "Death Star" set coming, like the old but totally different.....Check. Now we just need someone in the film to say, "That's no space station,,,,,,,it's a moon".2 points

don't try to bring logic into the Star Wars universe!!! There's no room for nonsense like that in a galaxy far far away :p2 points

So if it is indeed a Death Star like weapon built into this planet it still doesn't make much sense. It's not like they can target any planet they want at any time. It is immobile and subject to planetary rotation and probably has an impeded view of many star systems. I know trying to be realistic about a sci-fi movie is not a good match, but I think I will be disappointed if the remnants of the Empire are up to their same old tricks again after all these years. I would have expected another course of action, but again I'll wait to see how this plays out.2 points

Or or or perhaps the dark side found a way to revive the Eye of Sauron and somehow trapped it in that ball. It looked like an eyeball with red pupil to me. Maybe the whole movie is about how Rey was chosen to deliver a certain "one CD that controls them all" to a very hot lava planet so it could be destroyed.2 points

Hawkeye, its Craigslist, even if he paid you double your asking price he knew what he was buying, the balls on him to ask you for a refund, tell him as long as he has his receipt he can return for upto 90 days Deals done, I presume you drove to meet him so your gas and time. I know people save money on fees and Paypal but this CL stuff is just a waste of time and possibly even dangerous from what I have of late. Tell him to jog on!2 points

This set is out of every logic... why to produce so big set for a 30 years old movie? Why not something more recent, for example LOTR, which MOCs have often thousands votes in Ideas? Ghostbusters is not so strong theme, to make 1 standard Ideas set is more than enough. TLG usually tries to decrease the number of bricks as much as possible to make the set more available, and immediately they produces such extreme big set - it is just simple building, it is not necessary to make 4000+ bricks for it. Why they doesnt make a landmark or modular in this scale? For example Sydney opera, which suffer a lack of bricks and therefore it doesnt look so good (mainly the curvatures are horrible). I dont understand at all.2 points

It's getting bad when we're relying on horses to change retirement dates!2 points
-
Surprised noone has picked up on this list posted on Eurobricks. Apparently this is an in-shop list from 2014 showing set retirement scheduled dates. Some were accurate, others not so. If authentic it does indeed prove that product life may be extended or shortened depending on demand. If it is true, then we should not expect a new plane, train nor a remake of AA soon as HE and SC were retired ahead of schedule. Interesting also to see that TH leapfrogged PS so PS should take its place and retire this year - unless PC is brought forward!!!!! I2 points

yes you really respectfully do not know what you are talking about and it is one of us this guy is one of my best friends, he does everything by the book above reproach and he does not do stupid stuff and at the end of the day what he purchases is still available for other people to purchase2 points

Hey Walmart! No matter how many air pillows you surround the Lego set in, if there's a hole in the Lego box & not a hole in the shipping box, I know it left your warehouse like that...2 points
