Ok here is an update. Things have changed on how we get our data and the format that it is in. It seems that everyone in all the major companies are really either closing doors on data that is given out, or clamping down on how people share info. I have a bunch of code that I need to update in order to work with the new data. I need a few more days to work this out and make sure it's right. The good news is that, based on what I see, I hope that as everything moves forward, it will not need to be monthly updates. It could possibly make it's way to weekly updates, we will have to see. So if anyone asks where is the update, just point them to this post. I will try to get it out there as soon as I can.7 points

The news for me is not if it will be back but that it won't be back until Feb. This line will be gold in late Nov if that is true.3 points

Just wanted to make a thread for people to find in case they search for answers. It seems that the landscape in which we will be able to obtain bits of data, share data, collect data is changing quite a bit. Some of you noticed that the inventory for all sets in the EU Inventory tracker was all 0 for the past two days. As the screenshot I displayed in that thread shows, the entire column was blank. I reached out to Huw at Brickset and he to believes that it could be end for that bit of data. Yesterday I received a phone call from Amazon asking me to remove the graphs from CamelCamelCamel.com that displays the historical price information. It was a simple fix for me, but what will that do to CamelCamelCamel if a lot of their information is removed. Basically all of these companies are telling us that you can only show what we give you, anything more than that could be in violation of the agreements with them and they can terminate any affiliate programs with you or even more drastic. A lot of these big companies seem to be pulling back on the information that is out there. Some of these changes are forcing us to change what we display and our price guide pages.. Overall just wanted to give a heads up if you notice that if you see the EU inventory report page removed, you know what is going on as well as other links or bits of information that might currently be available.3 points

Dude, give it a rest. You were wrong, get over it. If you would have shown some tact in the past or would try to now you would have a much better time here.2 points

I just added a few of my recent investments to the portfolio. I cannot believe the amount. I am running out of space. Selling has begun on a minimal basis and so far has been highly profitable. I chose well and my net rates of return are fantastic, compared to anything in the markets. Here is to saving all the dang shipping boxes and packing material. I am not crazy after all. In terms of big boys, I sure hope the remaining slow sets retire. That being Death Star, Tower Bridge, T1 Camper Van, Orthanc, Ewok Village, PS. IF these will sail away to never return, my portfolio should see about a 25% increase in value next year, maybe more. In this game, choosing wisely, not buying to early, watching your basis, is the name of the game. I am really looking forward to The classifieds growing as that is just a fantastic opportunity. I am toying with various ideas to grow that from an internet traffic perspective.2 points

The most entertaining 10 minutes of my day were spent going into my gmail trash and searching for "Jurassic fossilrock". Some absolute comedy gold in there, my personal favorite where he called the non-believers in his cult of early retirement a bunch of "Christian Scientists". mscheaf has some new competition.2 points

Maybe. Set desirability during release doesn't always predict value post EOL when completionists are involved. Exhibit A, Market Street. Easily the worst modular, had a $89 buy in, and is now the best performer NIB. If Lego Ship collectors want BB to complete the collection, the shortcomings in design will matter little. Short life plus low inventory will drive up the price.2 points

OK. I think now we should probably have a "check back" thread to see what happens after these "check back" dates...This is now on too many sets...2 points

I think the JW line will behave exactly like the minecraft sets last year. Limited to no availability at retail and a $10-20 dollar flip profit all day. A month from now these will be almost impossible to get retail.2 points

Before people go insane buying these up, just remember TRU has a little bit of a history hoarding underperforming lines. They had tons of Monster Fighters long after they were gone from SAH, and tons of Castle after the same. And obviously they have them online, so there could be a large quantity of these to go through.2 points

First TRUTH experience tonight. Friendly, younger cashier. She was ringing up my coupons like I was passing out free candy. I was pumped. Then she tells me I have to pay the full amount with my credit card even though I wanted to use gift cards. I froze. I should have just looked for the partial pay button. It was too late. She called over the manager. The line grew. The manager was actually pretty cool. She said "I want you to get your savings." She finally got it all too work. I missed out on one coupon but with the promo and everything else it was a pretty good day.2 points

Sure we are on the same page. I misunderstood a little, but thinking the same thing. As far as the price, I wouldn't want people to drop to crazy levels. That doesn't make sense. But as an example, lets take a #10224. Right now cheapest on Amazon is $599.99, on eBay for a Buy it Now I see $495 + $35 for shipping = $530, eBay fees of $45+ leaves you around $485. If you price the set between $500-$510 w/free shipping, you could get some attention and still make more profit. My numbers are just rough examples of how it could be good for both parties, but what we need are people to start talking about it whether it be social media, on other community forums, etc. Buyers out there need to learn of solid listings like that and once it's in their heads will consistently begin to check it out and compare. When they see they get quality service for a lower price, it may become their goto place to shop for LEGO.2 points
