Here's an article that contains the first look of the cast from the new STAR WARS: Rogue One. After reading the article, it made me think that we will see Darth Vader again...and the old X-Wing...and the Death Star...and the Imperial Star Destroyer...and the Super Star Destroyer...and the...9 points

Something a certain someone said to me the other day got me thinking perhaps we could use a topic for showcasing all the sorts of MOCs inspired by or based on the many architectural styles in the known world. Now this isn't meant just for builds similar to the official Architecture line but rather all of them regardless of scale. Honestly this thread sounds more like Tom Alphin's area of expertise (the author of The LEGO Architect). Anyway here are some fan designs I came across. There really are a lot of Modern houses out there. Ha. You're not entitled to QFLL - it was not quick enough. You have to just stick to RS (Reseller Scum) rank for now4 points

New/sealed 4840 Harry Potter The Burrow for $215 shipped. Ebay. I bought this last Sunday from a lady off of my local craigs for $80. Does this qualify me as a QFLL?4 points

Cant go friday most likely but will hopefully be thereat opening saturday. The nametag is a good idea. I was thinking of outing myself in a ridiculous way, maybe something along the lines of being overly loud and belligerent about the lack of harry potter sets or complaining loudly about how much space my 90 deathstars take up after i thought it was retired and asking about their return policy. I believe deeply in the george carlin method of keeping people on their toes.3 points

Open up the door, get on the floor! Everyone walk the dinosaur! I haven't seen anyone beat the classic record of thirteen yet. That felt like Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray.3 points

I used my Exo purchases to also get several free Mini Cooper Polybags. This alone makes Exo a non-loser set for me.3 points

So i think i found the reason why my local WM's have had terrible stock recently... Looks like they did a complete overhaul of the LEGO section and probably held back a lot of stock in warehouses until the reset was done. Very TRU-esque, i like it! (pics below for any interested). Not sure if this will happen to all WM's, but this was one fairly far out from the GTA and not a very busy area, so i'd think more would get this treatment. First time ever seeing the JW sets in store, no spot for RE though, fingers crossed! For those interested i also found some of the wave 2/3 Jurassic World toys, so these might be showing up at WM's across Canada (S&S Rex, Dilo/Cerata, the die cast models, and the chompers) Grabbed the die cast JP Jeep3 points

Agreed - I recently landed a Used Eiffel Tower with instructions and box. Built it, listed it for $1,050, and sold it in less than 18 hours. Easy as pie.3 points

Counterfeits do hurt, but having the whole play set with the vehicle is much nicer than just minifigs. The difference is that the price is driven by adults- AFOL's needing that drab boring looking town hall ( hating cuz I don't have any) to complete their cities that they have created.2 points

Currently 15% and more on most/all LEGO. + code LEGOSAVE10 to get 10$ off a 50% purchase. I ordered the T-rex tracker for myself, because I also save an additional 10% on taxes because I'm in Quebec.2 points

Bought another ToO today. It was still there in the shop. So if no one else bites I will have to take up the heavy task and decided to buy it. Later if they want it they can buy it from me with a premium. So they learn to clean the shelves before I change my mind.2 points

As long as you shipped to the only address he provided (since there's no such message for 2nd address), you are good. Well, given that if you printed the shipping label through eBay. Otherwise, you have to prove the shipping address, I assume. Give eBay CS a call, they will side with you and deal with whatever feedback the buyer may leave.2 points

"Suggestive" that you're looking for minifigs? I can't imagine what that looks like, but part of me really wants to know.2 points

Hello New BrickPicker members and forum users... Due to spammers, jerks and bots that attack the site and forum constantly, we have implemented a 20 Post Approval System for new members and forums users. Each of your first 20 posts needs to be approved and content checked by Admins/Mods. After the Admins or Mods approve 20 of your posts, you will no longer need to get approval to post. We constantly check for new posts, but we apologize if there is a slight delay for post approval. Thanks...Ed Mack1 point

That's too bad. SSD could really use a new color scheme. Are there any left in the universe (by Episode VII) that haven't blown up yet? The Executor had a military career about as successful as the Bismarck in WWII...1 point

For me the chance of this becoming a surprise investment winner was big enough to get at least 5 of them when retirement clouds got darker (around March) and double VIP was running. Since I did miss out on HH completely, I didnt want to risk the same again even if forecasts for the Tower's potential were less enthusiastic.1 point

too bad the buying limit is 2 per week... at least targets (and lego) allow 5 per order. nevertheless, the price match is very nice and will help clear these out1 point

Looking at the new star wars sets for episode 7, got to say i'm not as excited about what's coming down the pipe. The new first order snow speeder reminds me of that gaudy green speeder from episode 1, so my expectations weren't met. The transport (which I had some hope for) doesn't really blow me away either. Really the only sets that were a pleasant surprise is Rey's speeder, and i'd probably buy Kylo Renns ship just because it's got the main villain, although we all saw how that turned out with Darth Maul. I really only see myself buying those two and a millennium falcon on the 4th and passing on the rest. Got to say, even with the black series figures, I feel the same way. There's very little interesting things here. Hmm…time to lower the expectations, I fear.1 point

Ive had good luck using a wash in water and vinegar. Soak for a day but try not to put pieces with stickers or printing in it. Then rinse and wash through water and bleach for 30 mins. Rinse again and they should smell nice and clean. Have gotten rid of a horrible campfire smell that way.1 point

My neighbor has a racoon that hides out in his trees. Last thing I need is the cops charging me with animal cruelty.... or worse having some racoon run off with my piggy guy. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.1 point

So to summarize: -A few people made good money QF this set when it was released because those 10,000 people that approved this set were too slow to order it -The set has has horrible sales since its release as evidenced by its sales numbers on eBay. Even after a 50% off sale it still lingered in EU and would not die while Hobbit's LM sold out in hours -The set is retired in Europe. Only people buying this turkey now are Slickdealers thinking they can flip it or new AFOLs who see it as good pieces for the price. -It may go above MSRP eventually, but your money would be much better invested in almost anything else from Mixels to Chima -People with fingers that look like sausages suffer from a serious medical condition and should seek medical attention if it lasts more than four hours. Maybe I'll actually look at the box when I go to the Lego store today instead of just ignoring it.1 point

I'm aware of my own shortcomings in set picking. That's why I bought 15 10225 instead of zero. I would seriously rather have a whole fleet of Chima fire bikes than one assembled 10225 (for display, or especially to play with). But I'm not my market. The people who are best at this are probably those who are AFOL's themselves. I like Lego and owned a couple hundred dollars worth of classic space sets as a kid, but I can't see spending $360 on a 1-foot tall plastic statue of R2. On the other hand, when I mentioned this to a friend the other day, he pointed out that I've spent far more than that on Magic cards, and they're just little pieces of cardboard with pictures on them. Touché.1 point

One has to guess that the winter wave will be a Star Wars series for the upcoming movie. They haven't announced anything beyond the second Simpsons series, and it would fit perfectly timing, since Series 14 is rumored to be halloween themed characters due out in October. The popularity of a Star Wars minifigure series could be through the roof, if it does happen.1 point
