I decided to stop by a Goodwill store on my way to dinner and as I walk through the door, right on front on top of a glass case was a UCS Slave 1. Price was $99. I was able to open the box and verify all the bags were there (and sealed) so I picked it up. I got a 10% off discount so got it for $96 after tax, Afterwards I went to a Lego store (also on the way to dinner) and stumbled upon the whole JW line. Picked up 5 Raptor Rescapes. I consider this trip a success7 points

You guys thinking of selling your Batman Ayslums will be sorry, don't worry they will be $400 and up, so don't Crack you will make good money on them. Ed5 points
-
Even if the Ewok Village does retire end of the year, why sell it to make $50-100 just wait it will be a $500 set or so, just like people saying the Batman Ayslum is a dud, another bad move to sell them early to make a few bucks, don't worry the prices on both of these will rise, thats why I say alt least 75% of people crack and can't wait. I have 30 EV, and 33 AA, and glad I have all of them. Ed5 points

I have no idea where this would go, so feel free to move (or remove). From another site... Quote Seasonal set news! Holiday vignettes (like the Valentine's and Easter sets) Halloween: Kid trick or treating, dressed as a witch, there's a stoop and a front door with a skeleton answering it. Thanksgiving: Restaurant scene - chef wheeling out a full turkey on a cart, pie underneath it, there's a table with a woman sitting at it ready to be served. Christmas 1: Kids building a snowman outside a snowy front porch Christmas 2: "Santa's Visit" fireplace, tree, presents 2015 Holiday Promo sets First is a train, looks like a Christmas version of the Emerald Express. Second is a gingerbread house. Apparently looks amazing.5 points

Surprise points came out this morning. I noticed I got a $30 off $30 that works with Lego. First time I've seen it. It's unbelievable how many points they've given away over the last few months. I feel like I'm on a gravy train with biscuit wheels!4 points

I've had this exact situation recently and quoted my return policy (2 weeks), but also said that I would make an exception and replace or refund the product in full if the buyer returned the item. Buyer responded and thanked me for my excellent service and said he changed his mind and would keep the item after all. I believe most people are reasonable - it's the scammers that make our lives difficult.3 points

Patience is advised with this set. People will look back 3-4 years from now and see that it is $500-600 and wish they had a few. Quality set. People need to stop micromanaging and give sets like this some time to increase. I hear the Town Hall is a loser too...3 points

I'm a firm believer in the "any Lego set can be profitable when your buy-in is at 75% off or better"3 points

Sold my first BARC Speeder w/ Sidecar today for $49 shipped. I grabbed a couple handfuls when they were ~$17 on clearance last winter. With Captain Rex in this season of Rebels, I might be able to squeeze a little more from these.3 points

Before the list of sets was taken down from the Amazon site, I did notice a full selection of more vehicles (around six or so) for this Toys R Us exclusive theme. A couple of which are supposed to be a Mustang and then somewhere is a Camaro. I should have realized what had happened was going to happen and make a copy for later reference but no use crying over spilled milk. Well if they are to continue the racing form tradition in the prior wave with this one, I imagine all will be based on modern models. Never mind, I just found a copy of the list. Here are the Speed Champions for 2016 everybody! 75870 - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 = 14.99 €75871 - Ford Mustang GT = 14.99 €75872 - Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro = 14.99 €75874 - Chevrolet Camaro = 34.99 €75875 - Ford F-150 Raptor = 49.99 €2 points

There was only SOLD OUT and no "we're making more" for Tower Of Orthanc for a few weeks and then it came back to orderable yesterday. These statuses mean almost nothing.2 points

Raptor Escape has moved to "call to check product availability". Usually when it hits this status, it seems retirement is imminent. --------- Well disregard... it moved back to sold out. Which status is it lego?2 points

I'm going with the Chrysler Building for New York. There are a lot of pictures of Adam Reed Tucker working on sets in the other various architecture sets and in articles - and there is a nice looking Chrysler Building design in the background that looks like it could fit that price point. Side note - another Burj Kahlifa is stupid. IMO the first one is by far one the worst builds and designs in the entire architecture line - and I say this as I stare at it on my shelf next to my UN building and Sydney Opera House - man it's lame. If they do another Dubai based set, I would hope it's the Burj Al Arab, by far on the most appealing buildings in that city. There was a nice MOC posted in Lego Ideas of it - but it never got a lot of votes and the time expired.2 points

I have a feeling that there will be a deluge of chip disks available cheap for people who just want to play the game. I think that some people will buy some of these expansion sets just to sell the minifigures, and try to make a small amount to the gamers by selling just those RFID disks2 points

This is a set one would find most difficult to part with in my opinion. You would have to pry it from my cold dead hands ....and I don't mean that figuratively.2 points

Keep them out of sight... it helps fight the urge I am also worried that I will wake up one day to my kids going on a rampage and just opening stuff too!2 points

I don't really know what's going on with JW or any Lego line for that matter, but it's obvious part of Lego's strategy is collectability (which Google spell check tells me isn't a word, even with an "i"). I doubt there's a full "flood brick and motar stores" push to coincide with the DVD release though, because that's just not Lego's style. Part of what has made Lego cool and the top of the toy heap is that they don't cater to the masses... much. Besides, when that DVD pops, stores will be in full Holiday/Star Wars mode. Time will tell of course. I'm not on their marketing team. We all try to read the tea leaves, but they're just that--tea leaves. Lego may have misfired with its prediction of JW popularity. That's all. They seem to have gotten the Ideas BBT set right this time. It still has yet to sell out after the runs on other Ideas sets last year.1 point

Well, lego.com is looking bleak lately. Even Pteranodon Capture is now OOS will ship in 30 days. The only set still in stock is Dilophosaurus Ambush, and the rest are way out on ship dates. The two times this month most of these sets were in stock, they were only in stock for a few hours. Just because there is space, doesn't mean it's exactly making a comeback. So, i'm skeptical. My TRU manager is absolutely clueless when it comes to lego, and I don't even know how she has a job half the times.. Unless, you heard directly from them that they are coming in on a truck at a certain date, then i'd be a believer. However, even on walmart.com there is no sign of a corporate wide ship date on any of these. Lego.com in the EU did have a minor restock this week, but each set only got about 200 new ones in inventory. Nothing that i'd call substantial. ----- The biggest tear jerker in that photo isn't JW, but that Hobbit Dol Guldur Battle's are still sitting taking up space in your TRU too. Will this set ever go away?1 point

People always want something for nothing. I don't do "what is your best price?" or any of that rubbish. I sell at the price I want or else it goes back into the cupboard until I try again. The sense of entitlement is disgusting but then some of these people haggle store managers for every last cent reduced1 point

I'd be interested in what Mos_Eisley thinks about the set and just go with whatever his gut feeling is. If I'd have put 20k in the last 2 years in whatever Mos_Eisley's said I know I'd be up 20k1 point
