Hey tac I once envisioned all of us experienced sellers coming together, agreeing on uniform packing and shipping protocols, and all of us fulfilling each others orders depending on region and sku availability. Basically a mini amazon setup dedicated to Lego products and our own website with no commission. It would be a mammoth task, but if someone ever got it going and used the amazon model with households rather than warehouses we could then expand into other items and land a big chunk of the ecommerce pie. Yep, I like to dream big2 points

I got a Slave 1 for $130. It was a damaged box, but it was still $130. :)2 points

Ghost, I posted the deal in yesterday's DD and I used the $50+ in SYWR points I earned on the Avengers Tower purchase, the $15 SYWR points from the deal I posted, the $3 SYWR Max points I had to use before Monday and a few banked points, so close to $69 in points used.2 points

Terry is leading the race, but I did get another Slave 1 this morning for $150 after EBay Bucks and gift card discounts.2 points

I just had a mega Mixels Friday/Saturday, so over here series 2 are basically long gone and are currently worth around $12-15 each, yeah its nuts, anyway Argos a big toy retailer must of found dozens of series 2 boxes randomly in one of their warehouses and just distributed them evenly amongst their 100's of stores. So they are currently having a 3 for 2 on all Mixels and some are currently half off as well. End result I cleared out every store within 50 miles ended up with close to 500 Mixels including around 100 series 2, around 250 series 3 and 150 series 4. Best thing is the series 4 worked out at £1 each which is an absolute steal. Winner winner chicken dinner!2 points

Whether you block someone with low offers or not that is not the point I was trying to make. If you feel this person is not trustworthy and maybe later bite you in the behind. Block! However, sometimes people do a low offer just to try. For the sport. Just like us. Trying to get something as cheap as possible. Or they have small wallets. You'll never know. In some occasions when I politely declined a lowball offer and made clear it was a fixed price they bought it anyway. It is difficult to filter the good from the bad. But the good should not suffer from the bad. I believe that is happening too much already in this world.2 points

The roof piece of the sdcc set isn't in this one... Unfortunately that's a rare one in any color.2 points

Sure there are, but when I already have the lowest price on something, and you offer half of my BIN price when I don't even have "Make an offer" listed, you deserve fruitcake status.2 points

If a buyer contacts me about the minifigs missing, I just tell them it's a rare variant. They usually love news like this.2 points

I've only dealt with someone once on exclusive minifigs and I was skeptical to begin with. They would never arrange to meet and wanted to ship them. I don't think I could ever do a CL transaction without the goods in hand first. Thanks for giving folks a heads up.1 point

I had 200 on order but after thinking about it since I had picked up about 100 units locally I lowered my order a bit. Hopefully the rest of my allocation went to fill your total order1 point

I respect your principles. What worries me as a seller, though, is that even if I decline an unsolicited offer, the buyer may purchase anyway and then hit me up for the discount again. That's where I get worried. He's already bought the item, so now he can try his hand at feedback extortion or worse. I've run into this scenario enough times that my general response to non-serious (ie very deep discount) offers is 'block and move on'. The chance of closing a deal with those guys is generally near zero, and unfortunately the chance of headaches is at least 50/50.1 point

I paid little attention to this line until seeing the movie last Saturday. By Sunday I had purchased the Indominus Rex, Dilophosaurus and Raptor Rampage sets to get the four main characters and I think that I'll be stocking up on a few more of these three. One of our largest department stores here in Australia has been having a 20% off LEGO sale for the last three weeks or so and all Jurassic World stuff is gone apart from the T-Rex set, so this might be the least loved.1 point

Almost all the batmobiles in LEGO form have essentially been different models and not just remakes of a prior design like how the X-Wing (in LEGO) has so I will give them that. Still I am waiting for that full-sized 1960's batmobile and let's go even further with the original from the 1940's. As you pointed out in truth there realistically is only one X-Wing. One design but a whole lot of remakes as LEGO sets. Ha. There actually is a Catman character in the DC universe and it would be neat to see him make an appearance into the realm of LEGO.1 point

I know it is annoying. But people are free to ask. Just like we do. When we get a free polybag after making a purchase in a store and we ask if we can get a few more cause our little critters like them so much.1 point

Bought an R2, the description said the box had damage, but the product was unharmed. The packaging was custom and might be worthy of the packaging excellence thread. The second #2 bag ended up being open with pieces rattling around the taped up box, but I think most of it's there. I either need to build it to verify or go through the instructions and see if I can check off the pieces I have. All in all I can't complain since it cost me an even $150.1 point

It says right in the listing that they aren't genuine LEGO so who cares if it includes 8, 21 or 500?!1 point

So I’ve been doing a little analysis on Marvel /DC, just for fun. Results if anyone is interested, observations are my opinion, does not constitute financial advice and do your own research etc… All of the data is from brickset and is UK based RRP, so YMMV on retirement dates. Prices/ Price Points are all GBP. So: Lower price points (PP) sets are firmly established, small gifts, the £19.99 sets always abundant. The mid PP sets interest me the most, as it’s clear something in the marketing strategy changed 2013/2014 moving away from the £34.99/£39.99 sets, splitting them into more around the £44.99/£49.99 PP, with a more options in the £24.99/£29.99 area, probably the intent to stretch the £19.99 up a little. Given the dominance of the £19.99 the £24.99/£29.99 PP looks a little light, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some expansion in this category from below.. £44.99/£49.99 is firmly in the Birthday / Christmas gift territory, so it’s no surprise there is an abundance here. However, it looks somewhat overweight to me, with the total number of sets currently available at that price point, with 76013 being the most likely candidate for removal. Particularly if we see more DC sets at the £44.99 PP. The £69.99 PP also looks interesting, as it appears to show a similar split to the £39.99 PP, but earlier in the cycle. I.e. With the emergence of a new £59.99 and £89.99 PP. Short run on 76021 and the creation of these new PPs may signal a short life for 76032, particularly given the movie tie-in. Higher end sets are probably too low volume to form any real conclusion. .1 point

It's expensive. Haha. But manageable. Ain't nothing like building Legos under the sun, on the beach. When you tire out just jump in the ocean to cool off.1 point

The PO will deliver anything. What he described is exactly what the letter sorters do to letter envelops that are bulky. You should never send lego this way. Poly / paper bubble mailers are the correct way to go. I would refund or send out a replacement. Sorry man, hopefully it was a cheap figure.1 point
