Jumping on the 75094 bandwagon I finished mine today. Sorry for the cheapo stand but I will make something out of either clear or blue, to mach the engines, translucents. I agree with PP a lot of technic that IMO does not make this a $100 set. The cockpit was a nice build and as stated so is the top fin. The wings seem like an after thought then the ones on the $60 75051 Jedi Scout are far superior. If this is a play set I could not see spending that much perhaps if you can pick it up at TRUT in the low 60s. Guess I am still going to have to pop the seals on my 10212 Tha3 points

To each his own i have heard the movie is great and I loved phantom menace and age of extinction too. i am a fanboy not a critic. I choose to be positive enough critics In the world.2 points

There is no way the movie will flop, They are say about a hundred million opening weekend, thats US only, the key question is how long do they have the License for, hopefully it will be until at least the end of 2016, as I will be getting a large amount of the $129.00 set. As I said many times the Lone ranger License was only for about 8 months, had nothing to do with the movie flopping. I already seen a special screening of it Thursday night and if you can be sure to see it in IMAX 3D. The Movie was great. Ed2 points

Both are great suggestions - I am going to play around with some of those tomorrow. In the few hours since I first posted the set has been growing on me after swooshed it around my living room (never too old to do this once and a while) after watching the Belmont Stakes race. It really does look good in flight mode.2 points

People use the name Lego to enhance their yard sale advertisement. Kind of like "Moving" or "Furniture". Lego is an easy one to advertise then say it was sold or "misplaced".1 point

I've just started buying. Came home yesterday to a pile of boxes by the front door. Had a blast opening them after my son went to bed! Got two Ectos, a Parisian Restaurant, a Detective's Office and a Pet Shop. Still waiting on a Red 5 and a Palace Cinema. I can't wait to do more shopping this week.1 point

True, it won't financially flop. I was referring to more being a critical flop. Financial success but sorta horrible / tough to watch which would remove demand for commerical related productions. Movies like Batman Forever, Man Of Steel, THe Phantom Menace, etc...1 point

good to know. guess I should throw my 10240's away. unrelated somehow my following this thread got dropped. thought that stopped happening on the new BP. Its ok but I definitely cannot become unsubscribed on this thread since my red five give away some time ago and postings is part of what got all of this red five hoopla going.1 point

I love this set. It looks like the perfect one to raid and clean out Target stores for the Christmas season.1 point

I think that was in response to me. I never called but meant to. As it turned out, today my cc got charged for it and my Red 5's status went from Backordered to In Process.1 point

I know it can never compete with the UCS Shuttle Version, but you get a decent model for displaying it if you have the space (less space than for the ucs ;-) ). For the landing mode you might need Darth Vader or the Emperor walking out and some stoormtroopers standing in two rows to welcome them. (to improve balance I think you can add just a couple of bricks so it will be more stable) For the flying mode you might want to add some transparent bricks, which gives the shuttle a cooler look if you display it. Since the set is meant to be for children I have to say that it is pretty great. There have been two older sets of this model, both featuring the emperor, both not being so great, especially since the grey bricks have been out of place and really did destroy the overall look. This model sacrifices some of the detail als realism for more durability and a better playability (also an easier built). So this is just perfect for kids and still okay for adults. Compared to the UCS Version I can understand your disappointment when it comes to displayability though. But for kids or people who want to create scences of star wars and don't have that much space to display it is the better choice. (Or for people who don't have the money to buy the UCS version ;-) )1 point

i think youre good. if someone opened it to snag minifigs they would not just take one. if all of them were missing youre looking at at least 60 - 80 grams difference. this may be due to moisture content and your scale may not be 100% acurate. do you have another one to compare it to? i think they were two different boxes too, one much glossier than the other. this may also play a role here just weighed one, 2.255kg1 point

PEE inspired a golden era of hilarity that shall not soon be forgotten (especially because someone ate asparagus) turning this forum into a #1 nonstop faucet of euro-centered jokes the likes of which the internet has never peen . I would buy PEE by the bucketful, gallon whatever is available at this point - its retired. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Painting-Easter-Eggs-401211 point

Notable missing sets today at Downtown Disney Orlando - SOH, TOO, PC, MTT, Red 5, Simpson's House. They had a Pet Shop on the shelf, but not sure how many more were in the back. The had plenty Ecto-1s, Jurassic World was flying off the shelves, and I saw people checking out with Death Stars, Tumblers, and Slave 1s. I don't make it to LEGO Store often, so I pay attention while I'm there. I left with another Ecto-1, some S4 mixels, Winter Soldier, and a few Simpson's S2 minifigs. It's the first time I saw the box for the UCS Tie Fighter in-person and it's very impressive. They had a Ferris Wheel on display, ooga ooga!!!1 point

Collectors, yes. The regular consumer....my own opinion is no. Here's why. I'm a collector, investor, and consumer. I saved one 7965 for myself. My thought has always been that my 3 year old son and my 7 year old daughter and I would build it together at some point. But over the last six months, I've realized - A New Hope is *my* Star Wars. I'm 42. I was 4 when ANH premiered. Episode 4 will always be *my* Star Wars. It has a huge, special meaning to me. But to my kids? Not so much. To my son, everything Star Wars is titled "Star Wars Rebels". He just thinks that Star Wars is called that. The Ghost is much more likely to be "his" ship than the Millennium Falcon ever will. But even if that's not the case, for my son and daughter, Episode 7 will be the first time they see the MF on the big screen. Those characters are going to be the first characters they see on the big screen. So, if any MF is going to call to them, it will be the one from Episode 7. What does that mean? I'm guessing that if the average consumer, come September, goes onto eBay and see a Lego MF, and will go for the lower priced one. They won't be looking to get an Episode 4 MF; they're going to go for the Episode 7 MF. That's what will be current in the average consumers minds. Now, at a $60-$80 will emazers' lose money? Of course not. But, look at the unsaid advice he's giving folks - there's a reason why he only had 15 of the 50 he had left.1 point

It has been since yesterday . it was also this price at target yesterday where i stacked an 8% gift card on top of the $104 price with instore pick up in tax free NH to get 4 @ $95.53 each (27% off) . i snagged one at amazon at 104 using some credit card rewards to get it down to 96 after tax. i am a buyer of this set under $100. target has jacked the price back up to $112. target decided to start price matching walmart instead of amazon. this set will be the poorman's 10030. until they remake 10030. and then it will be just another 7965...1 point

Why not sell now (with pretty good value) and invest in something that's a better investment for the future? ;-) A lot of people here are holding on to this set because they are HOPING (and I think falsely so...) that it will appreciate much more even after the new set comes out. It's a personal decission of course, but to me this feels more like gambling in a casino where you win something after a short time... maybe just putting in 10 dollar and then winning 100 dollar... and you just continue because worst case scenario you will stop at ... let's say 20 dollar... so you wouldn't have actually lost anything. But you want to go on because you wanna see more than these 100 dollars you've already won... at least let it be 200... or let's say 1000! One hour later you decide that you just as well can spend the last 10 dollar and try your luck to win back the 100 dollar you just lost... and when that money is gone... well it was a nice evening for only 10 dollar! So a win/win right? With this kind of mindset (which is absolutely fine, if you're just in for the fun of it and don't mind spending 10 dollar for a nice evening, which is rather cheap!) people hold on to their sets... instead of selling them now, making a pretty good profit! and investing the money elsewhere for better profit. This is just my opinion. I'm already out of the game since I sold all my copies and am happy with the outcome. (I'm the boring guy who came out of the casino with the 90 dollar he won...).1 point

Try putting the minifigures online for sale and open the sets only when you sell. I intend to buy one set just for the minifigures so there's that:)1 point

Same ship. The 10240 is slightly larger with more detailed engines. The 7191 has a classic box. Both great builds and fun sets. Great for display and play.1 point
