After all this talk about a new Death Star for 2016 I did some research and finally have been able to find some pictures of the new design! The new design is pretty awesome, even though for some people it might be too colorful. The general design isn't that different from the current DS but you'll find some improvements. My verdict: Great new DS design! I also like the new colors! I'm not a big fan of all of the minifigures, but there are plenty so that's nice I guess! I guess with all these minifigures the price point might be at least 500$ I'm not sure if I would recommend holding on to the old one or not... I guess that's a decission everyone must take for himself. https://www.flickr.com/photos/pricey73/sets/721576523493258159 points

If you have a dog or cat save the droppings and put them in a box and leave that on your porch. Spring loaded or self detonating are good options.8 points

Example: I have 10 sets to list and I want to copy and paste everything so I list them all at once at $500 each and then bulk change them later to individual prices. Example 2 (some people here use this method): I have a 10211 Grand Emporium that I will sell at $600US so I list it at $600US and expect to relist it every 30 days until it sells. The item stays in the search and TRS items stay near the top and occasionally the item sells (and the members are usually kind enough to post because they are a little surprised)3 points

Sold a 10221 for $1200 CAD and have sold around 19 Jurassic World polys the past couple days at $18 CAD each. Not a bad week!3 points

I like to reuse the bags to pack sandwiches for the work week. I just put the stickers on my toolbox in the garage. Everything should go in and on the toolbox.3 points

Got some new parts to build myself another minifigure display shelf. Will have to do some re-arranging tonight and put up all the ones I have in random other spots.3 points

some of my hobbies & interests include skratebords, cool cars, wine country, and dumpster seafood. Im also a big fan of Lego which was founded by Old Kirk Crungerson in 1682. Old Kurt discovered the tiny plastic blocks when digging inside of a mountain. No one knows what happened to him after that but at least we can all agree that he was insane. For your health!2 points

Okay, so let's see: pizza, fro yo, a hot tub, and entirely populated by stepford wives? With the ability to destroy planets? Time for me to join the Empire...2 points

If on a desktop try this. At the "Select how you'll be paid" section, click on "add or remove options". It should be right next to "Select how you'll be paid". That should open a dialog box where you can check several options. The one you're looking for is "Require immediate payment through PayPal when a buyer uses Buy It Now", it is first in my list. Click Save. You should now have an option on your listing template to "Require immediate payment when buyer uses Buy It Now" Click that box and finish creating your listing. That checkbox may come unchecked if switch back and forth between Auction and BIN. It also may come unchecked if you select Best Offer. Just keep an eye on it.2 points

I think we all just got burned by the prequels so much that there is this inherent fear that the new films will let us down as well. But after that last trailer, I think Abrams was basically putting his hand on the shoulders of Star Wars fans across the world and said, "It's gonna be all right." The Force Awakens may not be awesome, but I think it will at least be earnest, and have the right sensibilities. I'd be shocked if it was actually awful.2 points

i was going to get a few snaps from the video on a flier and stuff it in the mailboxes around the neigborhood. i dont think posting it publicly is a good idea as i dont want retaliation, never know with hernandez.2 points

Its a little hard to say from the light and the angle but I think Aaron Hernandez escaped from jail and is stalking your neighborhood wearing a hoodie. i like the fully outstretched paw between the railings of your deck. this should become the little picture next to the urban dictionary phrase "5 finger discount". that thumb looks suspiciously like a fifth finger.2 points

The SMART thing to do is give all the evidence and info to the police and let them resolve. That is NOT what I would do at first2 points

built the Kwik-e-mart today, really enjoyed the build and I love all the different colors of bricks it has - this will be a great set for parts should I go that route in a few years with it. Wish they would have sent duplicates of the sticker sheets tho. Build took about 4.5 hours spaced out over the day.2 points

I'd open it. This set is hoarded big time, so when and if the value starts to climb, you will be competing against a bunch of sellers that can offer an undamaged box. Since you basically paid retail for it you don't have any room to undercut the competition either. It's a neat little set. Enjoy!2 points

Craigslist score of a lifetime. Loads of old pirate, including black seas barracuda, looks complete except for sails Loads of black falcon, forest men era castle. Loads of old town sets. Everything is clean and even semi sorted. Nicest lot at the best price so far. No mega blocks, q tips, or used chewing gum.2 points

The latest issue of Blocks magazine is now out. This issue marks the first time that Brickpicker has content in the magazine. A few months ago, they wrote to ask if we would like to submit content to the magazine. Since Ed is all warmed up for writing all the content for the book, he was ready to go to start working on some articles for the magazine. The first article is about the #10179 Falcon. The Blocks team is working hard and doing a great job building this every month so please support the magazine. If you do not have a way to get a hardcopy of the magazine locally, you can buy digital editions as well.2 points

So this is what the Emperor meant when he asked Luke, 'Where are your Friends now?'. Anyway, I'm dumping my DS's. The original can't possibly compete with the Friends' Star. I am a little concerned that Disney may not be the best caretaker of the Star Wars universe... P.S. I didn't see UniKitty in any of the photos. Surely there's room for Cloud Cuckoo Land on the Friends' Star?1 point

it varies by state, however if one trespasses, steals and tries to run away with your property you technically have the right to protect it by all means necessary, especially in the rural south/southeast. welcome to america where you can buy a rifle and a bible in one store and on the same day. BTW one the safest neighborhoods in the southeast, if not in the whole country is the one that requires every household to own a firearm. Kennesaw, Georgia1 point

Hi Dr. Steve, Welcome. Since you're a doctor maybe you can help me. I was raking leaves and I had trouble with them getting all over my driveway. Now I have smelly armpits, so nobody wants to go to the prom with me. What the heck am I gonna do for a date?1 point

You guys still aren't using the "Immediate Payment Required" for Buy It Now?1 point
-
That's truly an impossible question to answer, since the TOO, Red5, and LM all have potential to go up in value. If your buy in is good with the Lonely Mountain you then you may want to take the risk. The ToO, and Red5 seem very horded at the moment, while the Lonely Mountain doesn't seem to get near the attention since it's not "exclusive". But, it's a real crap shoot. I'm still a believer in this set.1 point

September 4th is the release date for the Episode 7 legos. There is a total of 7 sets coming out, and I believe that's it for the year, until the usual January wave. Also, there is a rumored Sith Infiltrator due out that will be a TRU exclusive.1 point

497, isn't that a US 891. Also a good little seller, I have sold quite a few for £8-10 with and without instructions. I have taken a risk and bought just over 10kg of space pieces. Unknown sets but I should be able to make up quite a few, with the help of Bricklink.1 point

That is what we have police for. And I would be on the watch-out in the future. But why did you open non-delivered reports when you clearly have evidence that it was delivered? Amazon, Target or USPS aren't responsible for stuff that gets stolen after they delivered, nor should or can they be (unless it was neglect on their part which doesn't seem to be the case here).1 point

Do the sandwiches go in the toolbox too? Make sure you remove the extra pieces from the bags or your sandwiches will taste funny.1 point

Haha yeah, I probably didn't need to mention he was an Aussie. I've sold a fair few used sets down under and never had a problem. Always glad to sell to our Aussie brethren. This drongo will be getting blocked though.1 point

Who says a reseller has to sell MISB sets? A reseller of LEGO just means they resell LEGO <uhduh!> and it doesn't specify what kinds of LEGO's they sell. The second part of your post isn't really relevent because he IS a reseller. LEGO just wants to get their products directly to the "end consumer" as they've nicely put it, and that sellers obviously don't make that plan work out so great, so they are forced to be banned from LEGO Shop at Home.1 point
