I think the guy needs a flying headbutt, I just want to reassure that us Australians aren't all convicts or go into a a princess meltdown when our LEGO doesn't arrive constructed. All the Aussies here come from different states, so there is a good chance that one of us can deliver said flying headbutt2 points

To be fair, there are a lot of Corellians. Also, Donald Trump alone is half the secondary market for the Taj Mahal. His next high profile, ultra exclusive residence tower will be built entirely of white legos. I'm planning on picking it up for pennies on the dollar after the inevitable bankruptcy, splitting it back up into 10,000,000 Taj Mahals, and making a fortune reselling them as individual sets on eBay.1 point

Over 5 years, we get 77% of buyers that leave feedback on BL. Feedback will come so don't sweat it. Just keep doing a good job on your orders. Use the drive thru "it shipped" message when you ship. Make sure you are leaving feedback for your buyers when you ship as well.1 point

After the interest in $3 Simpsons II minifigs completely died off at a weekend toy show (almost a complete non-seller as compared to the cmf 12/13s) I traded 200 leftovers for 15 more Ecto's (at my original buy-in that's 1/2 price Ecto's)1 point

Yup, interesting how Lego uses frogs, croissants (white and brown) and now shells for little designs/features. I'm probably forgetting a few other items. It must take lots of HOURS or certain skills to create these small mini items (chairs, tables, etc.). That kitchen was so well designed. Even the murphy bed that folded down was neat. Everything was well spaced. The frontage of the restaurant was spot on with the awning and menu. The stairs on the side added a lot too...I just had to place the modular as my side corner building to show it off. In the DO, the rooms were quite small with sooo much detail but easily my top 3 modular so far that I've built. I enjoyed the PS (overall) and GE (exterior) previously but hands down I feel PR and DO are upgrades in many aspects.1 point

Finished building the PR with my son on the weekend. Love the details on the roof, the little kitchen, chair in front of fire place etc. Overall, a fun/great build. Maybe it's just me but I find the two latest modular (PR and DO) have more cool 'features/build techniques'...taking it to another level in terms of general design vs the previous four (FB/TH/PS/GE). Big thumbs up for Lego modular theme designers/creators, can't wait to see what building they release next. Lego probably has 2-3 lined up in different stages...maybe finalizing box art etc for the new building now.1 point

Love the Simpsons minifigures. Had a hard time coming across Professor Frink but when I smooshed one I smooshed two more right in a row. Just random I guess. Never found a Krabapple though so I had to eBay to get one. She's easy because of the mug but I just never came across one. In series 3 I hope to see Moe, Barney, Sideshow Bob, & Duffman. Lenny and Carl would be great as well as Rod and Todd.1 point

I guess only Lego collectors in France buy the Eiffel Tower and only collectors in India collect Taj Mahal. Only Corrilians will buy a 10179 and only residents of Lothal will bother grabbing a Tie prototype. It's not what you like, it's the consumer. We can never really have enough "learning experiences."1 point

Finished this tonight, takes about 2 1/2 hours. 6 bags total think the first 3 took about an hour then the last 3 take about 1.5 hours (wings and fin). Fin is kind of like a small version of the UCS in the way you build it but the wings are pretty basic. Nice build overall and both side panels open up as well as the cockpit and the shooters shoot pretty far. I just wanted to build the shuttle so sold the 5 figs and got $80 for them. Plus a Spiderman Jumper so into it for $10. Pretty happy with that and can put it by the UCS now.1 point

We use a site called Gumtree instead. Yes it's popular here, but the market is only about 10% of the size of the US due to our population size. SOH sells very well here but it's widely available and also widely discounted, we can get them for about US$250 here quite regularly. I personally find the size of the set a bit awkward however I think it will do very well here once retired, it just might take a while.1 point

Some kids are brighter than others. Also, most things in life, even if assembled piece by piece, do not easily go back together once smashed back into pieces. Lego is pretty much the exception that proves the rule (not that the saying has ever made much sense to me).1 point

I don't know who of you followed this, but quite some time ago there was this boy with autism who really is into LEGO and into the titanic, so he wanted to build a gigantic LEGO Titanic. It seems as if he's finally been able to build his dream and honestly I'm so happy for him! Here you can find his homepage: http://www.brynjarkarl.com/ Maybe some of you also appreciate this. To me this is so beautiful, because to me LEGO never really lost it's magic and this boy and his dream of building a titanic just represents a lot of this magic. I always feel reminded of my childhood and I'm just so happy if I see LEGO (don't know if you people can follow ;-) ).1 point

I still say the Haunted House will be worth more than the Crawler a year after the Haunted House Retires and its $20 cheaper, There are about 80% of Lego fans have or will buy the Haunted House, as the 40% People buying and selling Crawlers are mostly people like us. The HH is one set you don't want to miss the boat on. Even at $180 it should rise to $400 and climbing. Why would anybody thing the HH and VC will not bring in the big bugs. so I have 60 HH, say $200 profit on each one, $12,000 profit, plus all the other great sets I have and all the Exclusives that are still to buy, all should be retired in 1-5 year, and then there will be 40 more, but with I will have I will be living on Wall Street. So Buy Those Exclusives and hard to Find Sets!!!!!!!!!!! Ed1 point
