Tonight, while my fiancee was watching Pitch Perfect 2, I reassembled my 10210 Imperial Flagship (gorgeous) and finally built my 6256 Catamaran and 6278 Enchanted Island that I picked up last year. There is also a 6266 Cannon Cove that I picked up last week but the pirates are missing but the extra Imperial soldiers are better anyhow. My only complaint is that I will have to take these apart in the fall to make room for other builds (finding a home is a separate issue). I am positive that the Islanders land is to scale, compared to the pirate ships, because the Black Pearl and the Imperial Flagship are probably from the Marvel universe where they are needlessly loud and large.2 points

Hello all! It's good to finally be in a Lego community. I used to be a Lego collector, builder, and animator. Now, I just look at what people are capable of. Let's get along!1 point

sold my last republic gunship 75021 for $180 bin free shipping ebay. paid $74 -5% on clearance late last summer at target when I arrived right as they were marking them down and i cleared the whole shelf. i might snag a few more of these lingering at bn's scattered along the drive to the closest lego store. would be worth it if you can get a 15% discount gift card and 10% membership discount for starters ~ $90. not sure coupons would work on these but don't know until you try. i think this set could get to $250 in a year.1 point

You can use removable labels. They peel off easily without damaging the LEGO box.1 point

Amazon buyers aren't as picky as eBay buyers from my own experience as far as box condition goes1 point

Most LEGO sets sold through FBA do not need a label, but some sets do require labels. I'm not sure why some do. I suspect it is for sets that are listed twice in there system. When a label is needed, "FBA prep" I opt to pay the .20 and have Amazon apply the labels for me.1 point

Thanks for posting about the Kmart mobile coupons last night exciter1! I was able to get a LEGO city atv patrol (60065) for $1.96, an ultra agents spyclops infiltration (70166) for $4.99, and I used some surprise points and another one of those coupons to get the avengers hydra showdown (76030) for $4.991 point

All the Goodwills here don't even accept Lego when I try to donate some. No wonder they never have any. Some company policy about Lego and necessary warnings and what not. Crazy world.1 point

To make it worth while with the Daily mail promotions, you need to do the following things: 1, Be able to pickup loads, most stores have a 5 per customer cap, but some stores just don't care and let you buy as many as you want. It's totally hit and miss. 2, You need to hold them for at least 12 months, ( I recently sold all my Spiderman glider polybags for £8.50 each on Amazon, which I bought last year for £1.00 each, the less popular sets will tend to sell for between £2.99 - £5.00 each ) until the market is no longer saturated with private sellers happy to make 20p per polybag. ( They are good loss leaders though, but that's something else entirely. ) 3, If you can only get to the stores on certain days focus on the sets you think are going to do well, prime example this year the 'Joker bumper car' polybag. 4, You really need to either have an eBay/Amazon store and already selling dozens of items a day otherwise you just won't be setup for the workload, and your profit margins will suffer badly. You can most likely unload them at car-boots etc, but that's a lot of hassle I imagine. Finally you can ignore all of the above and just say give them away when you sell large exclusive sets etc, but most people won't care, and in all likely hood it will not lead to repeat customers. Hope this helped.1 point

I found four Mixels all being a dollar each with one odd exception tagged as $2 for some reason which didn't make any sense to me. I mean the employee had to print out the labels and set the price in the system so what was that oddity about? Still being less than half was one heck of a deal. Honestly had I found a full box of Mixels for half, I probably would have bought the whole thing or at least made a few complete sets. Also went ahead to purchase The Ender Dragon by price matching Amazon at Target for the $55.99 as it was the last set from the first wave I liked but didn't have yet and figured the $14 off would be the best we would see (unless you are one of the lucky few who live near a Meijer up north). I won't be bothering to get The Mine as the price seems high for what is offered plus what is there just seems the same as the others except perhaps at a larger scale. Maybe if it hit a deep discount I would buy that but I am looking forward to the upcoming second wave more.1 point

Help turn everyone's favourite dysfunctional family into brick form. Who wouldn't want to see Al, Peg, Bud and Kelly Bundy as lego minifigures! With Al Bundy wearing his famous NO MA'AM shirt. A total of 1500 bricks were used to create this set. Need 10,000 supporters for lego to produce it! Use this link to support the project! (Will only take you 30 seconds of your time). https://ideas.lego.com/projects/1020621 point

I don't. I just read that Lego is releasing a new, bigger PS next year for the same price, with updated pets (maybe one of those glowing cats you can buy in Hong Kong that are genetically modified with bioluminescence genes from jellyfish) and scenes from the PS where Stallone's girlfriend worked in Rocky.1 point

This is a relative comment because people in North America will have the same problem selling the Maersk Triple E after retirement compared to European sellers. The North America Malevolence market is very healthy. Just another reminder for newer investors to research their respective markets (TabbyBoy is definitely not a newer investor!).1 point

If these are for investment, my own opinion is to sell. I had quite a Mixels Series 1 thing going for awhile, and prices piqued at about $120-$125. It looks like they are going for $115 now. I don't expect much growth out of them at this point. I think you and I talked about this in PM. That's awesome! That's a great haul. You can do well selling those on eBay even now. I wouldn't wait - like I said, I don't expect them to go any higher.1 point

I made my first ever Lego sale today. I got €10.91 for an Admiral Yularen shipped locally on ebay. Not amazing, but it's a start and after all it did cost me nothing1 point

This is a weird day indeed, I just sold my last 9457 Ninjago Fangpyre Wrecking Ball ( I had 10 ) a pointless set, was left on shelves for at least 12 months after retirement, which I bought for £24.99. I unloaded them for £83.99 wtf is going on. Also I do suggest for the UK crew, if you have the inventory start selling on Amazon, the fees are higher but the price point/customer base is way better. I've been an eBay fan boy with Lego for 5 years now, only started selling on Amazon in Jan. No problems no defects, just gold.1 point

Finally, someone who's excited about the Exo-suit. I'll sell you 5 if you want, that would really blow your mind altogether1 point

Nope, in Holland, so Europe. Perhaps it's different across countries, but I think there's only one European warehouse so people from example Germany or England should also be able to get shipping cartons from Lego.1 point
