What is gained, in terms of story, by watching the first three? Nothing, IMO, and you get to avoid Hayden Christensen by not watching them.3 points

I found a lone series 13 cmf at my local target and when I smooshed it I found out it was the unicorn girl2 points

We should just ignore any possible signs of retirement and buy whatever we want. Sold out everywhere? Who cares, that happened before. Limit raised or dropped at S&H? That means nothing. TOOS? That happened all the time with other sets. Production codes from more than a year ago? We can't be really sure what those codes mean. They're pointless anyway. If you like any set as an investment, buy some. Period.2 points

I can't figure it out either. The IS is by far one of the most elegant and beautiful ships SW ships to display in the form of Lego Set. It just looks epic!2 points

What I truly don't understand is 10225 besting 10212 in price / MSRP. 10227, sure, the B-Wing is kinda weird. But the Imperial Shuttle is pure elegance. I think this is anti-Imperial bias at work, and the Justice department should look into it. What I will say for 10227, is it's far truer to the look of the 'real thing' than 10225 is. I can't make myself like that blocky, pixelated R2 sculpture, no matter how fast my 15 sets appreciate.2 points

So it's been almost 3 months since this was labelled as Retiring Soon and it's still in stock in North America. I wonder if they'll discount it. I'm a buyer at 50% off2 points

I'm all about that way. 4, 5, 1-3, 6. 1-3 are dreadful to get through for many including myself.2 points

I started to watch Episode I with my son, but found he was a little too young...as he constantly asked "Where is Darth Vader, Where is Darth Vader?" after every scene. My response was "Buddy, Darth Vader is NOT in every scene of all the movies." I then got up off the couch and replaced Episode I with IV and the questions basically stopped...haha In hindsight Episode IV seemed to work better...IMO2 points

Took the family to NYC for Mother's Day, and we swung by the Lego Store while we were there. There was an ignored pile of clearance items off to one side. I was surprised to see (and grabbed) 2x 60064 Arctic Supply Planes for $13.48 each (reg $49.99). Also grabbed a bunch of "I Love NY" Lego Statue of Liberty magnets while I was there.2 points

Help turn everyone's favourite dysfunctional family into brick form. Who wouldn't want to see Al, Peg, Bud and Kelly Bundy as lego minifigures! With Al Bundy wearing his famous NO MA'AM shirt. A total of 1500 bricks were used to create this set. Need 10,000 supporters for lego to produce it! Use this link to support the project! (Will only take you 30 seconds of your time). https://ideas.lego.com/projects/1020621 point

I can't compete with that. I bought an old castle lot over the weekend for $50US 6075 - Wolfpack Tower 6081 - King's Mountain Fortress - 95.2% complete (mostly small light gray bricks and one horse) 6103 - Castle minifigures 6059 - Knight's Stronghold - 93% complete (and one horse) 1463 - Treasure Cart 6266 - Cannon Cove - complete except for 2 minifigures Fallingwater for $90US and Empire State Building for $15US Overall - pretty good find as the castle sets have all of the minifigures and I am really looking forward to building the Fortress when the 21 pieces arrive.1 point

If it comes I believe it will debut in February/March as the previous landmarks did. At least as I remember and too busy to look them up.1 point

You miss the point. The same stuff happened last year. We are in total uncertainty. Buy the set as you see fit but don't jump to conclusions. And about this set disappearing phenomenon. Sets disappear and come back in large, not just TB. When supply is low price is jacked up, Economics 101. Happened with Tumbler and other exclusives. And yeah I get it that TB is old. It was old 2 years ago. These sets are living their own life, it may be here in 2020.1 point

This. What kids want to sit through 20-30 minutes per movie of senatorial debates and or convoluted expositions on trade blockade, possible wars, midichlorian, blah blah blah. Or the badly acted "love story". Boring. I firmly believe had movie 1-3 been condensed to 2 movies they would have flown better1 point

Don't know what any of you lot are talking about, there were only three movies. George Lucas wouldn't have been stupid enough to do prequels to such an amazing storyline, would he, would he???1 point

Don't you remember this is a set that was highly inferior not design properly and tons of other problems with it that I was lampooned about regularly last year? Yes exciter I can be the one ROFL now. Ha Ha Ha. $750 by Christmas.1 point

First of all I mostly collect, I rarely sold any sets. Only did that when there was free money on the shelves (Rovers....). I personally don't care if LEGO does a new release or not. If they do I will buy it. And yes, LEGO should punish people to a degree from a business logic point of view. And saying that they don't get a single penny is probably not true. By inducing fear in people that they will miss a set like they did with the Falcon then they won't postpone purchases. More money is spent in the end. Also I did not say that they should not re-release any sets. What I said is that it is good that they have a very coveted set as an example. The collectible market works like this, limited time purchases drive it. For the people coming out of Dark Ages: just look at the current offerings. For an ordinary consumer they are more than enough to choose from. We are the crazy fanatics and collectors on this site. Vocal minority. Most people don't buy so many exclusives that the present offerings are exhausted. They are perfectly happy with buying a TIE.1 point

If they made the SSD in proportion to the 10240 X-wing and new TIE fighter, it would take up a football field.1 point

I guess one thing just about anyone can agree on liking is the costumed characters. They are rather endearing and unique.1 point
