Congrats Inversion on becoming a Moderator and best of luck. I wanted to again thank Ed and Jeff and all the Mods with all their hard work and I had fun in the position. Time on the computer is something I don't have a lot of and wasn't able to devote the kind of time to the site that it required and didn't want to half ass anything. I will definitely still be around talking Lego with everybody.9 points

The careful filing of topics into a relatively few number of threads is actually an enormous positive on this site. You don't have to wade through pages of different threads to find relevant topics on the set of interest, you just go to one place. Also, the length of this thread and the age is actually another huge clue if you care to think about it. And if you're observant, there's even more to be learned from that "old and irrelevant" info that you think no longer applies. Quite the contrary, that's some golden info that will tell you quite a bit about the future of not just 10188, but a number of other sets as well. If this was easy and obvious, many more folks would do it. It takes time and patience to learn the basics on both ends: the best way to acquire sets (and which ones), as well as the best way to sell sets (and when). We were all novices once, and we're all still learning. The suggestions you make are counterproductive and would harm the way many of us use this site. I appreciate your suggestions, nothing wrong with those. Understand that the reason things are done such as grouping comments into single threads by set is the result of many expert investors input, some serious wisdom on this site, and the result of many mistakes made by others before you. You're benefitting from all that. You'll come to see why things are done the way they are here, and hopefully recognize the value they'll ultimately represent to your investments.8 points

if we did this, it would make it easier for investors to get into the market. many of us spend hours reading topics that are years old to see how the speculation pans out. this is great information. so read on, and maybe in a few weeks you can grasp which sets you should buy. have a good one!6 points

He's stating it more like fact rather than opinion, and not nicely either. I don't care if people want to post what they think, but when they are rude about it and act like a little kid trying to get their point across its annoying and a waste of time reading the post......especially with " I am right.thanks". Great, he may be right, but coming off like a pompous jerk isn't going to make others here like you or respect your input. Rant over, moving on.......5 points

I think it shows that anyone stating knowledge that licenses ending at any given date are talking out of their hobbit hole.5 points

Tonight was a pretty medieval night, I got a used medieval market village (10193) for $100 shipped and a used kingdoms Kings castle (7946) for $50 shipped so I guess now I'm basically forced to get the kingdoms joust set5 points

Why didn't you post the picture of the new 7,947 piece Millennium Falcon you got?4 points

Nope no code and no inside knowledge. I remember I think Dave is the person who spoke with a mid level manager and was told PC is going this summer. It is really strange in how it has acted. I think he may be right guessing 40% chance. It is by Astrid and all her sets get retired early it seems It is my favorite modular. I think PS soon fills US back orders and is done Guesses I am probably wrong3 points

Another trickle of actual retirements on the US site, I just checked star wars: 75003 75018 750393 points

Hi all, Thought I'd stop by an introduce myself as a sumbled across your site when trying to find out more about lego, as over the past few weeks it appears I have become a wife to a secret lego wanting husband and mother to two lego wanting young girls! So far the girls are happy to just play with whatever I can get cheap! and we did pick them up some lego movie stuff on a recent trip so I think this has got them onto the ideas of sets being available and I'm already seeing first drafts of birthday lists with Elsa, cinderella et al. set's on so I guess we're into disney princess teritory. As for my hubby he's decided now is a god time to get back to his lego childhood memories and is talking about an upcoming purchase of a death star! and a VW camper (although I have to admit from what I've seen so far I'm strangely tempted to also push him towards the modulars as I think they look cool). So as I'm the one tasked with buying etc. I have the feeling that you may find I have some silly questions in the near future.2 points

If you don't ming me asking, did you get any type of discount or did you buy them at regular price? I want to get more of these as well. I have about three and don't want to regret not buying more like I regret not buying more Delorean's. Those were half the price of the Ecto-1's and I should have bought more but I just didn't. I wanted to diversify and get some different sets. These Ecto sets are awesome looking and have great minifigs. I don't see how you can go wrong.2 points

Huskers, just be honest. You're too busy with fantasy baseball and continuing your trend of besting me to players on waiver wire. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Brickpicker mobile app2 points

Problem is that a select few never buys thousands and if they do, they are not using the affiliate links. At least not what we see. I think you overestimate what people really buy and stockpile. As I have stated many times, the NON-LEGO discussions would enter areas of discussion that did not have a place on a site designed around LEGO bricks. Really, use the INVESTorSELL.com site. It's what you are looking for.2 points

Not sure if any one has mentioned this yet, but why is Wildstyle spending so much time with her ex boyfriend now?2 points

The contract was made with LucasFilm and Disney had literally no way to dissolve the agreement without seriously burning itself. However I see a couple of LEGO SW movies/series down the road just not made by Warner. They will be done most likely in conjunction with a Disney subsidiary. Disney channel is already featuring Droid Tales. LEGO animations became a brand on its own by now which Disney has no way to compete with in that segment. But this game is purely a competition and a pretty close substitute. Most households won't finance multiple collectible toy games.2 points

I have this bridge... it's worth a fortune but I need a quick sale for money to pay for my aunt's operation. Please mail me cash and I'll mail you the deed. I'm honest because I say so, so you can trust me and everything. They know because they didn't just fall off the turnip truck.2 points

Still want city theme Zoo sets. Like they did farm stuff a few years ago. Could have anything from $150 big zoo, $50 enclosures to a merry go round or train. How about animals polybags too Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Brickpicker mobile app2 points

I thought Huskers made a great moderator, after all he must have been one of the only mods not to have given me a warning. Congratulations Inversion, Ed said he wants to thank you for the generous donation1 point

I really don't think a few bucks off is going to move the needle on the Ecto. If your buy-in is $40, 50 or 55 I don't think you will be disappointed.1 point

I found a friends sunshine ranch for $35 at target so I figured I'll just quick flip it lol1 point

With all due respect, if you guys are choosing to talk about QFLL'ing using other means like a private mailing list, then you have nobody to blame but yourselves that invest or sell doesn't cater to quick flipping low lifes. Jeff and Ed went out of their way to provide you guys with a place you could turn into the ultimate destination for all kinds of these topics and ideas... Not to mention that plenty of people still talk about flipping Lego sets right here at BP. So to keep this on topic........ I'm tired of all this. I get enough crap at work from the moron clients I'm working for. I'd like to get back to LEGO now and continue hating on raven for acquiring the UCS Tie and Kwik-e-Mart so early..1 point

yes sir, hopefully starting it this weekend. And it will go very nicely to that 10212, Xwing on the left , Shuttle in the center and Tie on the Right thanks again for that!1 point

Billund Airport, for personal collection. Could this be the next Marina Bay Sands?1 point

It's pretty straightforward. Most of the minifigures they have in the trade boxes are from build-a-minifigure or random thrown together parts, so i wouldnt expect much, but sometimes there are decent things. When The Simpsons first came out there were quite a few to be found. One weekend I got several classic castle minifigures so I guess someone's child was trading them throughout the park.1 point

I talked with Lego today, it appears the designer never played chess, and a few pieces were in the wrong location in the instructions. They need to reprint the directions so the are not teaching children/AFOL's how to play chess incorrectly...1 point
