  1. 2 10233 MISB Horizon Express sets for $96.22 each. 1 10219 MISB Maersk train for $200. Used profits from sales and a 10181 Eiffel Tower trade to pick-up a compete 10189 Taj Mahal late last month. It has the box and instructions. I don't even want to list the buying price because it's the 2nd costliest set purchased though the price was very fair. I plan on displaying it with the 10179, 10196 and 10181. Now just gotta build it and the 10196.

  4. Here is my haul today from Meijer. If you have one in your area I suggest you get to it fast. Of course in the haste to get to the 2nd Meijer to clean it out I was going so fast an Olivia' House fell in front of my cart and I cut a full wheel line all the way through the middle of the box sort of like a Transformer being cut in half. I'll make sure it has all bags and sell it as an open box. I should go to the other two Meijer's as a lot of it is not marked but want to spend the rest of the day at home. Very happy. Plan to quick flip most of this stuff. 1 - 60051 Passenger Train at 56.26 18 - 41005 Heartlake High at 19.87 each 4 - 3315 Olivia's House at 28.12 each 3 - 41015 Dolphin Cruiser at 26.54 each 3 - 75018 Jek 14 at 27.75 each 3 - 70725 Nindroid Mech Dragon at 30.00 each 2 - 60550 Train Station at 24.37 each 1 - 75019 AT TE at 33.74 1 - 75017 Duel on Geonosis at 15.00 1 - 60006 Police ATV at 2.62 5 - 60011 Surfer Rescue at 2.62 each 1 - 31004 Fierce Flyer 5.62 4 - 44028 Surge Rocka Combat at 9.37 each 1 - 31009 Small Cottage at 10.12 9 - 41000 Water Scooter Fun at 2.9 each 1- Transformers Generations Roadbuster at 9.37 each Plus tax total spend $1,039.35

  5. Over the past couple of weeks, we have been working at really trying to make this feature worthwhile. We now have a server farm working on this 24/7 trying to keep the checks on most sets done in seconds and at the longest every 2 minutes. Some of you members have acute vision and have noticed that i have had the SETUP ALERTS button on the Stock Tracker pages. I am writing here to announce that you can sign up for SMS Text Alerts, Email Alerts or Site Alerts (on select areas). When you visit any of the three pages we have setup (US Retailer, Amazon and LEGO) you will see a red button to setup alerts. This is where you can select the alerts you would like to get. In order to receive alerts you need to be a member and logged into the site to set them up. Guests will not receive any alerts. Here is the form for selecting the alerts you want to receive: Select the type of alerts you would like to receive. Also select the stores you want to receive alerts from. There is no need to receive alerts from shops that will not even ship to you. We will give you the option to receive what and from where EMAIL: Emails will go to the email account you have registered with on Brickpicker ON SITE: You will see a full width green bar appear at the top of the page. This alert will happen within the forum areas as well as certain parts of the main site that I have been updating the template on. It will continue to make it's way through the site over time. Below is a screenshot of the Top Bar Alert. The yellow link will take you directly to the retailer. SMS ALERTS: First, let me say this disclaimer....(These are real text messages. If your phone plan is limited by a certain amount of text messages or text messages cost you money, Brickpicker will not be responsible for any costs that you incur from receiving these alerts). Ok, now that that is out of the way, lets move on. When you enter your phone number, you will need to verify that you sent it. You will receive a verification code and need to enter that into the form. You will not receive any alerts until your phone number is verified. Once everything is verified, you will be able to active alerts on sets that you want to receive. That's all there is to it. Get ready to be alerted!!!!

  11. I have been quiet on new things here. I have been fixing some bugs behind the scenes as well as some features to my admin module to help support people quicker. Today I added a new feature though. It is a vacation mode module. When you store is in vacation mode, people will not be allowed to purchase from your shop. They will be able to look through your shop, but if they click the Add to Cart button, a nice message will appear letting them know the shop is current closed. They will also see a message that you can set when people go to your main store page.

  21. I agree that's probably the reason, but the little piece of me that treasures my UCS version just can't look at it and be happy. My kids on the other hand might be happy as I'm thinking it would be good to let them have their own (they aren't allowed to touch mine ).

  26. so far we haven't heard about a new 2015 exclusive train replacement for the 10233. until we hear anything, it's great news for the HE, EN, and Maersk train sets. people will be forced to buy one of the "retired" sets if they don't settle on the 2 current City train sets.

  31. To be fair, the author only needed to watch RotS 500 times to come to this conclusion. This was obviously what George Lucas wanted fans to take away from the movie.

  32. Yeah, I always that the broken heart storyline was lame unless Lucas confused SW with the Wizard of Oz.

  33. It's always nice to have a plan ahead of time, but for those of us with budget, storage and (for me) wife constraints, it's pretty nice to be able to pick up pretty much guaranteed retired sets long after they are sold out everywhere. Scripts have bought me multiples of AA, HH, TH, GE, SSD and HE. And I just started in late October so without them I probably would have missed out on most of those. It bought me an HE today 96.22 and a GE for 136.99 last Thursday. All while I sit on my couch reading through the forums and goofing around. This program the Mack brothers threw together and are handing out for free is a lot of work and will help the small time collectors/investors out there with limited space have a chance at picking up sets they may have missed due to some constraint or another.

  36. The WVM was top toy during xmas. Lots of people like the carousel. I'd advise wiping amazon's remaining inventory. This thing will fly higher than most of its predecessors. I did not hear that people didnt like the cottage aside from a few posters here. I stocked up last year and it doubled soon after EOL. Most of the people here are resellers, not builders. I wouldnt touch the SW yet. Too much time to load up and by summer, it will be all over the shelves. As another poster mentioned about the dolphin cruiser, right after xmas, it was everywhere. The rookie buyers fell for the xmas prices of SW. It was nothing but a quick flip. I sold it for 145 each. Now its at 100 on ebay. The game is over for now until November.

  38. First off, I am not going to buy Mech Dragons and I hate parting out, and were I picking between the two, I would rather go the TB route, but I just want to illustrate something in hopes that maybe we can start embracing the idea that different things can work for different people. Let's say that someone who does part out sets can make $5 on a 50% off Mech Dragon within 2 months. Mech Dragon Beginning value: 45 Ending value: 50 Number of periods: 2 months CAGR (%) = 88.17% per year Will you be able to get $850 after shipping and fees for Tower Bridge in two years? That's what you'd have to do to beat that rate of return. Again, I'd rather buy TB at retail myself, but it's not so crazy to think that an individual who was willing to do the work of parting out sets could actually do as well or better with their strategy.

  39. So I wrote that Python script over the weekend for nothing? Actually it was a good learning experience and besides, I probably don't have the time, capital, or patience to figure out how to do this at scale so I'm glad people much smarter than me have figured this out. This is very exciting news for the BrickPicker community! How do you guys find time to do all of this?
    1 point
  40. If you are patient for another day, maybe two at the tops, I will be pushing the latest release of our stock tracker that will finally include alerts via SMS, Email and website. We did some super cool stuff to keep times down really low. I don't think any other service is doing this. Right now, it is tracking a little over 1500 different links non stop and most get checked in a few seconds and at the most under a minute. It's crazy If you haven't seen, the last update we had is tracking LEGO sets from all the different Amazon Regions as well as 8 different LEGO regions. I am waiting on a few answers for Non USA members, but they will at least be able to get email and website alerts here on brickpicker. Hopefully I get the answer I am looking for and then they will be able to register their phone numbers to get alerts as well. I have been testing it the past few days with Ed and it has been working great. I know I need to add a bunch of sets to the list, I will get to that tomorrow.

  43. Ok, so here is a pretty cool update that I finally got around to finishing. There are now two new Stock Tracker pages that I want to run for a few days. There is the new LEGO SHOP@HOME REGIONAL STOCK TRACKER and the AMAZON REGIONAL STOCK TRACKER The LEGO TRACKER has 9 different LEGO regions to watch for stock and price changes: LEGO US,LEGO UK,LEGO CA,LEGO DE,LEGO IT,LEGO FR,LEGO AU,LEGO NL,LEGO DK The AMAZON TRACKER has 7 different LEGO regions to watch for stock and price changes: AMAZON US, AMAZON UK, AMAZON CA, AMAZON DE, AMAZON IT, AMAZON ES, AMAZON FR I have tried to populate a lot of the listings, but there are a bunch of links I still need to backfill (it takes a bit of time). I will get to the ones that were listed here soon. Over the next few days I will want to see how this works out. I know the increased amount of links its checking has slowed it down from the speed it was at before, but we will see what we can do to get that back. Hopefully it helps some of you!
