You are better off listing as used and say excellent condition. I do list some minifigs as new if I buy them and take them out of the bags. Buying them from someone else and listing as new is a bit shady. For all you know they could have all been in some kids mouth.3 points

Built this set last week and agree that it's very nice. We have it displayed on our mantle. I hope there's another version with some new birds coming soon. For everyone with cats please give them a big hug when you get home today. We just learned today our youngest (<2 yrs old) has FIP and may only have a week to live. We had no idea this was coming other than that she wasn't her usual self the last few weeks until I took her into the vet today. It puts Lego investing and other issues much into perspective.2 points

I would list them as used even if they look brand new. Your description can tell buyers how great of condition they are, but I would still consider them used since they are out of package.2 points

I think he means to have an assortment of polybags within a single listing, like a drop down. I've never figured out how ebay sellers do it, but it works well to have several similar items in one listing.1 point

Sometimes, I enjoy it when I find two of a set. Usually that means that I keep one set, and sell the other, but it's not fun when I have one to sell and half to keep.1 point

This is correct. As well as any space you use to store lego. Tour laptop your phone your printer....etc etc. Pretty much anything. If you arnt doing serious serious volume you should Not be paying much if anything in taxes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Brickpicker mobile app1 point

I hate how selling takes way more work than buying. That would explain why I'm running out of storage space.1 point

Many thanks for clearing this up. I guess a "excellent condition" item is still worth more than a "played with" one huh?1 point

The article is actually about why Alibaba should acquire Ebay, but there is an interesting part about a deal between Ebay, USPS, and foreign post offices... http://seekingalpha.com/article/2811055-a-major-reason-for-alibaba-to-acquire-ebay-beyond-the-obvious-ones?uide=29657625&uprof=45&dr=1 I'm a lil' upset by this, honestly.1 point

Once companies are established, their position can be a huge advantage towards competitors. One of the cheapest ways to buy a BMW in Germany is buying one from the US. Now let's hear a Danish person's opinion about LEGO pricing in Denmark compared to the US1 point

It's a good set to part out. Zane with the Glider and Overloard with his weapon sell well. I sold the lot of figs for $50 the Mech for $20 and kept the building. Cheap shipping.1 point

Jeff- I have a notification of an email in my inbox but there is nothing there. I got an email from Mos Eisley a long time ago and it seems to think it's still there. We were running a test to see if the email was working as I think he was having issues with it. I have cleared all messages out of even the trash can. Maybe I just need to clear cookies to see if that gets rid of it.1 point

Haha Creative Ambush, the Ice Cream Truck, annddd the Castle Gate one were %50 in a couple locations i went to. However they were still only marked at %30. This clearance sale seems to have the worst pricing of any I've seen yet. Adds a sense of adventure though not knowing what you'll find and at what discount range lol.1 point

Went to mall on other side of town to hit up Foot Locker and happened upon a toy store I didn't even know existed. Found 3 Willis Towers for $20 each which I'm assuming was retail. I knew these were goners so I grabbed them even though Architecture sets are not my forte. Store seemed to be going out of business but was not putting Lego on sale.1 point

This should give you some idea. On bricklink there are 208 THs available worldwide. Compare that to 1347 GEs. I'd say TH caught alot off guard. Most importantly it caught the large resellers off guard. Guys that have 600-700 each of FB, GE and PS only have a handful of TH. In the last 6 mos TH sold 368 units and there are only 208 available. For comparison FB did 280 but there are 991 still listed. GE did 366 vs 1347 available. IMO TH will perform like MS and CC. GE will do roughly the same as FB.1 point

Grand Emporium, Haunted House and Town Hall orders all get cancelled at the end in 2014. For Arkham Asylum they changed tactics and sent everyone doubles at the end instead of taking more orders and cancelling.1 point

It is annoying that their delivery defaults to your credit card address. I once received a 'surprise' package when I happened to be working from home and I realized I'd clicked the wrong button. But as this promo is a polybag, surely its waterproof?1 point

You're kind of new around here aren't you? Being absolutely sure because you have inside information you choose not to share is almost as bad as stating your opinion/belief as an actual fact when in fact you probably don't know more than the rest us. Why is it frowned upon? Because there are many people who read these forums who aren't quite as informed or perhaps a little on the gullible side and there is no place for misleading people on this forum.1 point

The new generation will like OT just as much as the new trilogy. Part of the story, they will watch them. Parents are more likely to buy stuff/pay more if they recognise it. Emotional attachment is important. Regarding UCS sets we won't see any from the new movies in the first few years. LEGO will evaluate their success first. Until then old vehicles are much less risk and still sell just as well or even more. The new movies will get a balanced share from the play sets aimed at children, but because of aforementioned reasons OT sets won't disappear. At least we will be able to always count on the iconic stuff (MF, X-Wing, AT-AT, ISD, etc.) if not on the more obscure ones (B-Wing). What you must not forget is that LEGO will always exploit lingering demand. They are monitoring websites, blogs and forums. They are responding to that demand. If anybody thinks that the recent UCS-s in flashy boxes are the Sandcrawler and Slave I by coincidence is a fool. Rumors about the next big UCS being an AT-AT. They know that they can't release them as IDEAS, but that project signals demand and they just release them as regular sets. This shows that they are responding. So even if there will be some small draught of OT sets in the future people will surely complain about it and LEGO will just release some MF or whatever to cash in. If I want to play the role of the Prophet of Doom then my forecast is that the EP I-III stuff will suffer only significantly, but not to complete disappearance either. It is considered inferior, little to no emotional attachment and just simply uncool. Key parts will return from time to time though, like Darth Maul for instance.1 point

Andrew luck is on a god awful team. He has so glad handly taken them to playoffs since his arrival. My opinion of mvp is what player makes the most difference to a team.... Luck is that guy. Without him would they have even won a game? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Brickpicker mobile app1 point

Any team that ever gets dubbed Americas team I route against. So stupid. It dosnt even make sense..... Most of America dosnt like you so how r u our team. Huge football fan and I am loyal to no team and have no NFL team. So I can be unbiased. Tom Brady is best qb to ever play the game. Joe flacco has numbers in the playoffs that no other qb will ever have. Seattle fans are great. Green Bay fans are better. Jj Watt is the best defensive player we will see for maybe ever. The rams will be reslly reslly good within 2 years. Andrew luck is by far the mvp. Disagree with any of the above.... Talk it up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Brickpicker mobile app1 point

My wife built this set last night, and it's a cute set. Although we both absolutely love birds. We have 3. A hybrid cockatoo, blue and gold macaw, and a quaker. For $45 it's really not bad for what you get. The birds are detailed enough you can tell what they are without knowing much.1 point

If you go buy a $50 Lego set with your paypal credit card in a store or online and take it back to the store for a refund thats called a chargeback and that does count as a Paypal Transaction. And if you don't get a 1099 in the mail, you don't have to put that you made $19,000 selling Lego, etc on you tax form.1 point
