This is by far my best find yet and possibly the best ever lol but I got a used ucs millennium falcon (10179) that includes the manual, a used ucs Batmobile (7784), and a bag of Star Wars minifigs all for $400 shipped from a seller that I got my Imperial flagship from a few months back8 points

Sorry that the Classifieds were down for a bit, but it was all for good reason. I am happy to report that the Paypal issues has been fixed and that the Seller Protection information is working and enabled. There are words I would like to use right now, but it may offend some people on the forum so I will keep it to myself or share with Ed later. Now lets get on will some sales and transactions. Next up, finish the vendor currency for those shops not in the US.5 points

I can't think of a single bad call you have made and you have made some nice, more against the grain of conventional buy this buy that speak. So a big *high-five* to trekgate who I think can be brought before the jedi council. Let's see, mil falcon of course, tie fighter, you were all over r2-d2 when everyone thought "no way it gets the axe before the new movies".3 points

Detective Agency added, and it is way cool...I probably only have room for one more!3 points

Just a small piece of advice to make your experience a bit more enjoyable here, when you make it sound like you are all knowing and have it all figured out you won't fit in too well. Opinions are always welcome but the "I know this for sure" angle doesn't sit well with almost all members here who understand that it's impossible to predict what will happen in the future. Just a bit of friendly advice you can take it or leave it.2 points

i'm not sure why the sudden change of heart of the tower bridge. in the other thread about what sets could reach 5x RRP, many were saying how the tower bridge could be one of the next $2,000 sets. including myself. i love the TB. it's plenty iconic. it looks amazing on display and it has tons of pieces for a great price. what's not to love. so what if it's been out a long time. some people on here are stocking up, others are passing. if it just suddenly goes, then what... $700 prediction is extremely conservative IMO. i love this set, i'm sticking to that and i think it will do great. pass on it all you want. i'll take em. this set deserves more love.2 points

I thought this thread was for updating actual eol sets. There is a thread for discussion. Unless there is a retired product tag, it doesn't count here. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Brickpicker mobile app2 points

Too right! Although the golden age of investing in Lego already passed..still the returns it gives is better than any bank around the world. Plus I make my money working for me instead of giving them to the greedy bankers and making them even more rich off my back... The two worst things ever happened to this Planet are Banks & Religion!2 points

Don't be! There's always a chance to score a deal like that, you've just gotta be diligent like I've been and it'll pay off for you. I'll prolly post some pics of my new project so you guys can see it but I'm siked to finally be able to build it!2 points

Yep, no-one cares about the original star wars stuff - all those 1970's/1980's Star Wars toys are worth nothing now....yeah right! http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2014/02/do-you-have-one-of-these-original-star-wars-toys-worth-7000/1 point

I don't think having a Disney logo will have any affect on prices positively or negatively. I'm buying a millennium falcon for the millennium falcon, not the logos on the box. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Brickpicker mobile app1 point

Wasn't that awfully polite of you? If I know one thing about Star Wars fans, its that they won't ever let go of the original Trilogy. Darth Vader, Luke, Han, Jabba, R2, C3PO, Boba Fett - the list goes on... The popularity of the new Slave 1 set also backs that up. The big question for me is will the new Star Wars films pull new fans into the original trilogy? It's a big unknown but I think the answer is yes. My brickfolio thinks so too!1 point

You better believe it! Oh and it's not a sticker! I think a bunch of this year's Friends sets have one to two included. First time in decades that Lego people get a new denomination.1 point

I totally see this falling over a lot And a lot of 5-year-olds going: "Mmmmooooommmmmm! Can you fix this? I can't make it stand up!". And from the other room: an audible sigh.1 point

I still think this set could do well, even heavily horded. I dont think you can lose with 40% or more off RRP. first this set has multiple unique minifigures, including 2 exclusive dwarfs, that will be must haves for any serious collector. as well as unique elves which will be desirable in quantity. second this set has a bunch of rare and desirable parts, and will be key for many MOCers. finally its the Hobbit, doesnt matter how poorly the movies are viewed, its still in the top 5 of fantasy novels of all time. give it a bit of time and these sets will sell. Overall I would say this is a parters dream set, and should still sell well as full package.1 point

Nice display. I myself am planning to build all my modulars (all except cafe corner and market street) in a town layout. Will post pics when I'm done but may take some time.1 point

that's right script guys - give out your secret codes you mastered through long hard work, trial and error, and hours of time spent in front of a screen. give away your golden goose so that it works for no one anymore and set to annoy retail servers so they develop another barrier to make things more difficult for yourself. also add a bunch of competition and lots of money to the mix and lose your advantage. sounds like a great idea . i don't code. i don't hesitate go all in when there is an opportunity. i buy early and often. no code. no problem. more useful than any code, this elaborate disguise helps throw pesky LEGO store managers off your track after they remember that you're the guy who bought 2 GEs and 2 T1s with cash no VIP 5 months ago and your are working towards mid double digit tumblers.1 point
