Ok, so here is a pretty cool update that I finally got around to finishing. There are now two new Stock Tracker pages that I want to run for a few days. There is the new LEGO SHOP@HOME REGIONAL STOCK TRACKER and the AMAZON REGIONAL STOCK TRACKER The LEGO TRACKER has 9 different LEGO regions to watch for stock and price changes: LEGO US,LEGO UK,LEGO CA,LEGO DE,LEGO IT,LEGO FR,LEGO AU,LEGO NL,LEGO DK The AMAZON TRACKER has 7 different LEGO regions to watch for stock and price changes: AMAZON US, AMAZON UK, AMAZON CA, AMAZON DE, AMAZON IT, AMAZON ES, AMAZON FR I have tried to populate a lot of the listings, but there are a bunch of links I still need to backfill (it takes a bit of time). I will get to the ones that were listed here soon. Over the next few days I will want to see how this works out. I know the increased amount of links its checking has slowed it down from the speed it was at before, but we will see what we can do to get that back. Hopefully it helps some of you!4 points

I'll be at the Packer game this Sunday with my dad (you know, the one I drag to shopko every senior day). We have season tickets, and can't wait to attend Ice Bowl II. -33 wind chill in GB yesterday. I hope the cowboys pack some hand warmers! The only way the Pack loses this game is if Rodgers isn't at least 75%, which he will be. If any Wisconsin brickpickers are attending and need a place to park my house is only five blocks from The Frozen Tundra. Shoot me a pm. GO! PACK! GO!4 points

eBay often gets a lot of flack around here because many of us sell on there and the quality of buyers isn't always the best (scammers). And some of the criticism is deserved. But I was recently reminded that sometimes they do covers our asses. I received the following letter from them: Thanks for consistently delivering exceptional service to your buyers. We're here to provide you a marketplace where you can sell with confidence. That's why we've taken the following steps during the past month to protect your account: Automatically set 21 of your detailed seller rating(s) to 5 stars from qualifying transactions Prevented 2 eBay Money Back Guarantee request(s) from being opened too early in the past 2 months We've already updated your seller dashboard to reflect these changes, which are for transactions made during the past year. When we remove transaction defects, your transaction defect rate may not go down if you had transactions that received more than one defect. We'll continue to improve our monitoring, detection systems, and policies to protect sellers like you. To see these updates, go to you seller dashboard. *** END MESSAGE ** I wasn't event aware people had tried to get money back and they blocked them for me. I have a guess it is some of the 0 feedback buyers from this Christmas. It's nice that they finally providing some protection for us sellers.2 points

So based on all this, the sets are between 6lbs 15 oz, 6lbs 15.5 oz or 7lbs flat. And if the missing bag in question is 4 oz then i'd say any set between 6lb 15oz and 7lbs is perfectly safe. Thanks for all the replies folks!!!2 points

Speaking of the Falcon 7965,,,,, do you think this one is stolen? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MILLENNIUM-FALCON-Star-Wars-Lego-Set-7965-1254pcs-2013-/131381161585?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item1e96ed6e712 points

the only technical sign missing pointing towards PS retirement is limit 2 purchase at shop at home. otherwise its showing the same pattern as previous 3 modular retirements both expected and unexpected. even with target's elevated price it has been out of stock most of the time though in stock now. i also haven't seen a palace cinema in a store and that is also out of stock everywhere at the moment except shop at home - don't think that's retiring yet so its hard to know what's going on with any certainty. eitherway, PS's eventual disappearance from purchasability can only be hastened by the unexpected retirement of the TH with the resulting change in hoarding/investing behavior and its the next on the docket by chronology. also what other EOL-worthy sets are there to pour your money into? at this point DS-believers have there money locked up - i don't hear about anyone doubling down there even though that will blow the doors off almost anything else you could buy now. ToO prospects are looking better given the performance of UG. but there is no SSD. no HH. maybe the money is going into Red 5's but don't hear much enthusiasm there. Tumblers - sure but that's not retiring anytime soon either apparently. i think there probably is a lot more modular hoarding going on now because of the TH. i am purchasing PS's 1 at a time on a regular basis every 14-16 days or so from shop at home though since its the next modular that would be slated for the ax.2 points

Welcome to the site! I apologize for the shameless plug, but I wrote an open letter to anyone who is just getting started. This is based on my first year of following the site and building up an inventory. I've learned even more since then, but this is a good place to start. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/10670-an-open-letter-to-legodelorean-and-anyone-willing-to-listen/ Good luck!2 points

I sold 8x 79003 on BrickLink just the other day. I had two priced at $85 and they asked if I had more. I'm assuming it was a long-term investor, perhaps a BrickPicker. I kept a few for the long haul. Buy-in was $35 for most of them. I needed the space and capital, plus Mrs.BrickLegacy is planning a vacation and what better way to make her happy and committed to this venture than a splash like that?!2 points

My sisters husband and all his family is from GB and they've brought the packer fandom down to SW MO. I've always liked Favre and Rodgers. Great QBs. I'd like to see Rodgers get another SB at some point!2 points

I don't even know how to answer ^.^ 1. Which Brickpicker Member would you like to get? 2. How seductive can you be? 3. Do you have any treasure, jewels, money or valuable wisdom to give? 4. Learn the (important) difference between "to get" and "to become" But as I can see you already are a member by now... All that's left to say (if you don't actually want to GET a Brickpicker ^.^) is welcome! Oder auf meinem besten Hochdeutsch: Willkommen bei Brickpicker!2 points

Who wouldn't rather have 30-40 Grand Carousels? Who wouldn't rather have 30-40 Green Grocers? It's easy to say this in hindsight. As to your point of whether the PS could outperform the TB: I highly doubt it, but it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility. If you want to bet big on a set, go ahead but don't point to arbitrary success stories from the past as justification for it.1 point

Thanks, frog. Your advice is always what I count on. I do have 'no return' on the page but I also believe it's BS to eBay given how they treated sellers. Meanwhile, I called the CS. The lady agreed I already made my listing clear (both in title/content). After some talks, she suggested me to dispute the return request. My guess is this buyer is more likely having buyer's remorse due to his own uncareful purchasing and blaming it on me. Gladly I did take pictures of this package. Will update what happens next...1 point

As I understand it (and I haven't had to deal with a GSP return, so this is not first hand experience), whatever your return terms were when you set up the listing are what eBay will expect you to do. With a SNAD claim, even if you have "no returns" set, they'll make you accept a return or refund without a return, and you will probably be required to pay postage. eBay's GSP center does check and take responsibility for "basic" condition/accuracy of an order, but they don't do in depth - if you send a set without minifigs or a blue vase instead of a green one, they won't back you on that. For something of this price it's probably worth calling CS, ask for a GSP person, and see what they can do for you. My guess is you're going to be taking this back on your postage dime, or refunding without a return. General advice: don't sell anything as complicated as a partial set overseas in future. I haven't had any problem with selling individual minifigs, but it's more obvious with those that that's all you're getting, I think.1 point

XRP (Ripple) to the rescue (posted on xrptalk): Posted 05 January 2015 - 12:53 PM by mdan I had some cash in my Bitstamp account and withdrew it to Ripple (so now I have USD.Bitstamp in the Ripple network). The transfer took ~15 minutes this morning, unlike a wire transfer back to my bank account which would have taken 1 or 2 days to clear. That's what's considered innovative by the Bitcoin camp.1 point

Until you've tried to add a listing and either saved it or clicked the preview button, you're dashboard ends at Shipping Profiles. This comes from my experience as of 5 minutes ago...1 point

I had someone pay me last month, without waiting for an invoice. I actually refunded them immediately and asked them to wait until I provided them with an invoice to pay me. That way, they know I'm honest, and that way, I know I'm going to get the full, correct amount before I ship. On the flip side, I would never pay anyone without getting an invoice. I want to know how much they are charging me before I pay them.1 point

Believe me, no one is mad, especially me. Everyone has been helpful and offering great suggestions, bugs, etc. If I don't respond directly to anyone's post, it does not mean that we have ignored it or haven't seen it. We are taking it all in. I have not starting any marketing campaigns or anything yet personally. Too early and need to get some of these issues squared away first before I really go out there to get traffic. Payment is a pretty big thing and I truly hope by tomorrow the address thing will resolved. I appreciate that you are putting links out there to get it going and soon I hope to encourage a lot of vendors to do so. In time we will create little widgets to put in your forum signatures and I will be showing listings from Brick Classifieds on Brickpicker.1 point

They change it from time to time but right now defects are given for the reasons below (and a link so you can see the whole performance standard page re defects etc.). The language tells the tale: you get a defect for a return INITIATED or a case OPENED (for SNAD or INR) -- what happens after that won't remove the defect, even if the buyer changes his/her mind or says, "Oh, hey, it just got here in the mail, thanks!" Only one defect per transaction counts - if the buyer opens a SNAD (defect), then initiates a return (defect), then leaves negative feedback (defect), that's still only one defect. Transaction defect rate requirements The transaction defect rate is the percentage of your transactions that have one or more of the following defects: Detailed seller rating of 1, 2 or 3 for item as described Detailed seller rating of 1 for shipping time Negative or neutral feedback A return initiated for a reason that indicates the item was not as described An eBay Money Back Guarantee request or PayPal Purchase Protection case opened for an item not received or an item not as described Seller-initiated transaction cancellation http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html1 point

If you're looking to sell your freebies the Johnny Trigg BBQ kits (either one) sell great for $30 and on the $500 level the Tervis Tumbler 2 packs also do great ($30 and sell very quick). Also always buy the Tape cases with the free tape gun, every 3rd order you can sell lots of 3 for close to $50 and they sell everytime. its like getting another 8-10% off per order.1 point

Agreed and I will add MF as well, the three OT SW sets that everyone hates on for some reason. The MF panic buying is hilarious. No one wanted it at $100 and it was destined to be a dud and now people are stepping on each other to get it for $140.1 point

Ok take a deep breath... We are happy with our first sale and as all others just getting a feel for how it all works....I did receive your payment 12.99 through paypal...There is no shipping address included with the payment and it says sender is unverified and not eligible for seller protection This is a problem for several reasons: 1. Selling a high ticket set you need the item to show as eligible for seller protection through paypal to protect yourself The feedback system is nice but a small consolation after losing a 200+ dollar set and having no leg to stand on in a paypal dispute 2. I would not sell anything more than 60 or so until I could at least have the option to ship to a confirmed Paypal address That is me personally 3. Of course there are many ways to get scammed when selling online there is no reason for paypal to not be getting the shipping address with payment which along with signature confirmation is one of the only secure ways to ship an expensive set. 4. Convenience, Getting payments in paypal and being able to look at the shipping address in paypal is very important as I stated earlier to be able to use paypal shipping tools and multi order shipping...It may be ok for a couple orders a week taking the item to the PO but if anyone is really trying to sell multiple items per day they are going to want to be able to access the Address in paypal this should not be hard and is standard for almost all paypal payments..>Even for sites with a lot less functionality and slickness as yours Which is Great and Incredibly easy to post on... 5. Why would you not want add that level of seller protection and ease which is standard across the internet? which is a s simple as the paypal checkout including the option for the buyer to enter there preferred shipping address which is 9 times out of 10 verified and 10 times out of 10 will help in a dispute. Very happy with the sale I am going to look into the backend of BC to see the info I need to ship then I will either have to manually post this into paypal or write it on a package which i have not done in years. I will report back with what I find in the backend. I understand this is still a work in progress and can still not be more thrilled. THANKS1 point

Regarding the debate on the popularity of this set, I saw this thread on the Reddit lego sub. The membership of this subreddit has a lot of hardcore fans and I think they can be a good barometer of a set's popularity. Here's a small discussion on the modulars that took place yesterday, where they rank them. Like anything, opinions vary, but he Pet Shop seems to be well received overall. http://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/2rf3eh/rank_the_lego_modulars/1 point

OMG. I went to youtube and thought I would inject some hilarity and put in "niko love" to try to find one of niko's awesome love songs to cheer you up. What I found is something that now cannot be unseen and I apologize in advance for the atrocity I am now unleashing on this thread: Anyway, an update on the Jenna Jiggler. Seller accepted a $10 partial refund for the 3 pairs of stained breasts. Probably involved watching the video above somehow. Even after refund and even after considering I sent him 2 extra ones I sold them for what I normally do. I usually charge $7.95 each. Mr breast stain paid $29.95. So after refund I'm still doing well. Bought a lot of them from Entertainment Earth's 2013 90% off clearance, believe I paid 50 cents each. That's only 25 cents per stained boob.1 point
